Life makes men --
men make conditions --
conditions make men confused.

Life simply makes men,
and it is then men who make up the conditions that confuse them.

There are two mental possibilities for man:
you are either thinking,
or you are conscious.
And they are two entirely different states.
If you're thinking, you're not conscious,
and if you're conscious, you're not thinking.
(And that's a wrap!)

Man lives in two realms: in "life," and in "conditions."
Life is just "there" -- the silent, physical world;
conditions are all of the circumstances conjured up by
man's thinking. Life is to the body as conditions are to the mind.
(And that's another wrap!)

A man is either conscious or he is thinking -- one of the two.
To check if you're conscious, ask yourself "am I conscious?"
And if you answer "yes" then you are.
To check if you're not conscious, see if you're thinking;
if you are, then you're not.

Rule:
It is good for a man to know the difference between thinking and consciousness.

Rule II:
It is even better for a man to be constantly aware of whether he is thinking or is conscious.

Some Distinctions Between Thinking And Consciousness:
Thinking ceaselessly talks and attaches itself to things;
consciousness never does.
Thinking never reveals the nature of life;
consciousness will
(and as a matter of fact, has known all along).
Thinking is not the individual "self" men dream of; consciousness is.
And thinking can never satisfy the inner man -- only consciousness can.

All men live in the same "life," but believe they all live in different "conditions" –
this belief is the source of all uniquely "human" problems.
