Only
an extremely ordinary person is interested in the subject of other men
and
groups being wrong
in their ideas.
Man’s
Yellow
Circuit invented
such things as geiger counters to protect
the
Red
Circuit from
danger;
its
mythologies (of all kinds: religion & the social sciences)
do the same for Blue
Circuit.
Conversation.
“Though
the speaker never realizes it: A man cannot start talking about how great
he
is without quickly sounding like a fool.”
“No matter who?”
“You
are perhaps the one exception.”
Original
thought is better than almost everything man can name:
much
superior to what he calls: “The
truth” about non-tangible matters.
Man’s
automatic-consciousness is for the inner rebel indeed quite a deal:
A
Five Dollar Value For Only Three Million Bucks!
(Wow!)
Doctor
Hormones addresses the city matter
of Romance:
“You
must pretend to be more in love than you are,
since
no one is in love as much as they say they are;
without
this harmless subterfuge – this baby will never get off the
ground.”
One
by one,
as
they are conceived,
life’s
local conditions install in all of the dense (sorry) the ordinary,
the
following silent, secret message in their city area brain cells:
“You can trust a blind man;
you can trust a deaf man;
you can trust a mute man;
and you can trust a crippled man, but other than them – forget
about it.”
In
the city, conditions are too intense to be taking any chances;
standard
consciousness cannot afford the luxury of fooling around.
The
mental mother city does not want her little ones wandering off into the
woods where they might get gobbled up by god knows what!
Dialogue.
“How
can you tell that an Economist
is a dunce? – He admits to being an economist.”
“Could we include Theologians
in that?”
“Sir
– it’s open to everyone (particularly
those in the social sciences.)”
After
driving all day alone on a long trip, a man had a new theory when he reached
his destination: “My thinking is that a nervous-system-rebel would be upset
at anyone
he
knew personally who got sick (which at first to even me, sounded pretty
rotten)
but
I further wager that he would be really pissed at his self if he did.
“Dear
Miss Inner Etiquette: Every time I
get in close to my mind, it smells funny?!”
The
resident thinker-cum-anthropologist down at The
Ole Sorehead’s Bar
lays
his latest on us:
“Kings
build gigantic tombs to honor themselves ‘cause they –
among ALL people – know fer sure that they
ain’t
comin’ back.”
How
Mind Handles Things.
Whenever
this one guy would think about life as ‘tis generally lived by men
–
he
would feel depressed;
he
stopped thinking about it.
One
benefit of rebel consciousness is that with it, it’s harder to tell when
time
is running out.
(The
past observed: “And that is why I
am more reliable.”)
Definition.
Metaphors:
Symbols with an escape clause.
Dialogue.
“Which
do you like best: Allegories or exposés?”
“Allegorical exposés.”
“Like
outing Achilles?”
“Better still: consciousness.”
“Yeah!”
The
Wake Up Club: Certainly the one place
in the Universe
where
you
can’t come-as-you-are.
Ways
To Tell That You Want To Believe Rather Than Know.
You
want to travel to mystical locales; read books; have heroes; quote others
and
present statistics and personal anecdotes to support some point you
have
the urge to prove.
What
would ordinary consciousness have to talk about if not for the subject
of
what’s
wrong.
If
you understand that no one but you understands fully what you’re talking
about,
and
it’s of no concern to you – you may well be on your way.
Cultural
Pillow Talk.
Whispered
the first reality: “Forever is a
long-g-g time.”
“But not,” replied the second, “long enough!”
Cosmic
Fact: When a thing is going nowhere
– it takes longer.
Nothing
is as useless as a politician out of office,
or
an idea that you've already abandoned.
When
a man with cancer heard fellow patients complaining of the standard regimen
of radiation and chemotherapy he thought: “Hell, if you can’t stand the
treatments,
don’t
get the illness,” and him being a guy struggling to awaken, chuckled to
his self,
knowing
what he was really talking about.
