Measure
For Measure (For Those Of Infinite Resources)
________________________________
If you find what ordinary men say in need of a response – you’re one of them.
Low
production values help hide a lack of talent.
(Bright
lights never flatter pinheads.)
If
you can’t be an anthill – be a volcano.
(Don’t
be an anthill.)
Everybody
takes non-prescription drugs.
(You
have consciousness don’t you!?)
All uniquely human problems are fact-based rather than act-based.
Ordinary
minds aren’t capable of a meaningful conspiracy,
(not
one meaningful to a real man).
If
you don’t care what people think about what you think,
they’ll
gradually lose interest in what you think.
Anyone you stop and ask, knows what should be done.
All
dimwits have speech writers.
(You
have a mind with thoughts don’t you!?)
Everyone’s
car comes with a radio.
Store
Hours.
For
Life’s convenience: everyone is open all the time.
To prove some new point to ordinary minds -- it can’t be new.
Dolts
feel they assume some glamour by praising as brilliant,
the
thinking of some well known person.
One
man has a simple philosophy: “Don’t put your dick in a blender.”
(Noting
that he is the possessor of
a simple dick.)
It costs the uncivilized nothing to be uncivilized.
Inane
minds search for metaphysical meaning to life in the ideas of others;
you
can’t crack-the-case by drinking someone else’s bath water,
(or
by inspecting flea turds).
Real
talent is immediate and matter-of-fact.
(You
can’t hide a hippo in a handbag.)
If acts could think, men would believe they see more of them.
Focusing
on the foolishness of other people’s words is an efficient form of
self
protection.
If ordinary men didn’t occupy their minds with meaningless junk they’d go whacko.
Everyone is famous for fifteen years -- (secretly -- to their self).
Once you have a second reality problem – it’s here to stay.
If
facts had eyes they would view acts as absolutes and would aspire to the
same
condition. Hell, what are we talkin’ about! – they do
that now.
If
you’re going to assault a tar baby – do so verbally.
(Don’t
be a schmuck --
don’t attack a fuckin’ tar baby.)
Ordinary
minds are made for small, detail work;
the
certain-man’s thinking wants to blow-up-the-sahara.
What does being dense cost those dense and unaware of it?
A large part of the ability to really think is to think that you’re thinking incorrectly.
In the city: just being you is the achievement of a lifetime.
Facts are never absolute – thus no fact-based problem can ever have a solution.
Politics
Close In.
The
nervous-system-rebel is never a supporter of local views.
Anything that can’t be explained must be explained.
The
Equation (I
+ Not-I = Everything)Revisited.
To
ordinary thinking there is no larger distinction in the whole world than
the
one between: I and
Not-I.
What
an ordinary man calls the truth is true only for one lifetime
(or
for as long as he thinks about it, whichever comes first).
Enemies
are those who don’t agree with your acts;
infidels
are those who don’t agree with your facts.
If you can’t be offended, you can’t be civilized.
The closest thing to a finished product in the city is a dead person.
The
rebel alone tries to achieve what others dream;
only
he makes his facts into acts.
In
man’s second reality are no seminal events…….and yet,
that
is where they all seem to occur.
(Understand
this and you can swallow the lions
and the christians.)
For
he trying to get-to-the-bottom-of-things, there is no factual
assistance
since
they are not the source of any problem.
Real
explanations explain things – not cause them --
(like city ones do).
“It’s true: The more you explain it – the worse it gets.”
You’re not surrounded by idiots – you’re surrounded by your blindness.
One of the primary functions of facts in the city is to stand-in for causes.
Ordinary
explanations are factual fabrications,
and
taken but one step further, they always become insupportable.
(“See!
– that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you: that’s why us normal
folk
don’t
want to think about it!”)
To be an expert in the city, you can never give accurate descriptions or get to the point.
Acts
tend to come in discrete quanta, and be short-lived,
while
facts are over-lapping and of indeterminable length (rather like
visiting relatives).
Those
less controlled by facts have a marked lack of inhibition about
whipping
up on smart asses.
Only real explanations fly, and they take wing only from your exclusive air field.
The
world of acts is the realm of causes; everything else is storytelling.
There
is the scientist and there is the griot;
everyday
explanations are everyday people's collective art.
Facts are the ultimate human entertainment.
Man’s
second-reality-explanations are not intended to actually explain anything;
in
fact, their mere existence is proof that second reality things can’t be
explained.
To get close to causes you must think more than you have to;
thinking only as much as you have to produces explanations.
Music
As Mental Activity.
The
great thing about a one-chord song is the same thing that sucks about it:
for
one playing it, you always know where you are and it’s an easy background
for improvisation, while to someone listening to it --
it’s boring.
Remember:
We’re talking about both music and routine thinking.
It’s
an either/or proposition:
You either talk, or you try to understand.
