EVERYTHING SEEMS BLURRY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 20/20 Vision For The Outlier's Inner Eyes/I's

In Sociology class at city college after the professor commented that men commonly need to have some group outside their own on whom to heap their hate, the son of an ole sorehead spoke up: “Such is not necessary in my case sir  –  I have me.”

One guy does imitations of dead people SO-O-O good, it’s frightening.

Ordinary men think about the things their consciousness is thinking
about while the certain man thinks about his consciousness thinking.

If what common people call common-knowledge was anything significant,
they wouldn’t call it common, now would they.
(Everyone just assumes that skunks know how they smell  [particularly since they never mention it.])

The inner outfitters for foreign safaris are always in your home town,
but the reality behind the notion of waking-up and enlightenment is so foreign to ordinary consciousness as to be impossible to describe adequately,
even to those desiring same.

Everyone’s words are as good as everyone else’s,
(except for the certain few’s special journey).

Not keeping your consciousness focused on you, is asking for trouble,
(unnecessary trouble in the case of the nervous-system-rebel.)

One man reflected:
“What is being asleep and unenlightened other than being mentally overdressed.”

While physical pain is just pain  --  certain kinds of neural activity can really hurt.

Two bar philosophers were sippin’ and supposin’ and the first one mused:
“There ain’t no harm in admittin’ you was wrong about sumthin’  –
it just shows you’re now a wiser man,” and the second took a swaller and replied:
“Yeah, that would be okay –  IF that was gonna be the last of it!”
(They both laughed so hard they damn near choked.)

The Sequence Of Something  –  Somewhere.
From: “Stand back! –  I am armed and dangerous!”
To: “Stand back! –  I am armed.”
Then: “Stand back! –  I am dangerous.”
And finally: “God!  I wish I was armed and dangerous.”

The travelling-music heard by prisoners is played only in their head.

Serious men have much to hide.
A spokesman for the deceased says:
“You think it mere coincidence that the word grave serves the dual purpose of being both the name of our home and a particular emotional attitude?!”

Man’s institutions serve to make his second reality affairs (through which they are conducted) seem more important than they would otherwise.
(“Yes, what we’re doing may be only balderdash  –  but ain’t the building nice!”)

When means are mistaken for ends  –  the rebellion is put on hold.

Reports arriving from a young planet tell of a developing race there
who are unaccountably able to say-what-they-actually-mean.
(This is likely through no fault of their own.)

Upon reading the sentence: “Most of the world’s Great Thoughts
started out as something else,” one man mused: “Boy, am I in the right groove!”

A son asked a father:
“Could waking-up be considered the conscious part of the brain
getting through to the other parts?”

Just to live up to his name, whenever things are going badly one ole contrarian
will say: “But that’s okay: I didn’t ask to be born.”
(Confides he on the q.t.: “Hey – if you can’t screw around with your own nervous system,
what’s the use in puttin’ on your shoes!”)
Fact: For the few, the benefit of any good thought is the same as for all good thoughts.
(“Funny how that works out,” muses Mergo The Clown.)

On one world was once a group of creatures known as: The Silent Ones
(about whom little was heard..................well what’d they expect?!)

While both universal and local matters can have an impact on your life,
the local ones strike the human mind as somehow the more serious.
(“Yeah, I know the volcano is about to erupt, but did you hear what my neighbor said about me!”)

One experimenter took the platitude that says:
“Everything is what it is and cannot be another,” and mixed it with the one that holds: “Everything is what it is and then some,”
which produced a neural incendiary device that first lit up  –
then destroyed the lab where it was made.

Limbic Sports UpDate:
At the end of eight rounds, hormones are ahead on points  (if not actual knock-downs).

One of the tongue waggers in that spot in city park given over to such activity
concluded his rant with the declaration that all the lame, with full impunity,
should be able to cripple others, and a surly sort standing near by muttered:
“I thought that’s what’s goin’ on already.”

Regarding Human Types & Demographics.
There are no common denominators without the common.

Interior Efficiency & Design.
Ordinary men do not so much shirk the study of the sundry items stored in their
mental closet as they do dread dealing with the befalling adhesive that tries to hold them all in a lump; thus do thoughts pursue an interest in words describing things
at the expense of ignoring the spaces in between them:
the very locale wherein rebel camp can be established.

Man's ordinary consciousness magnifies the irrelevant;
waking-up to what is going-on returns the trivial to its place of origin.

The Verbal Two Step.
When there is nothing worthwhile to talk about  –   men will talk about themselves;
where there is this viscid noise, cows & other prisoners feel most at home,
and like dancing and stumbling about.
Those lost in the dark will look for a beacon, but ultimately most will say:
“No way! –  not that one  --  it’s way too bright!”

Only the man innately determined to escape can stand the apparent strain of
looking head on into his own illuminating consciousness.
