Today's Top Story

If you didn't dress up your mind & think about it -- what would happen?
_______________________________________________________

Everyone only has a handful of unused brain cells left,
(a fact of no interest or consequence to common folks).

Just as a fish cannot discern a difference between life in a bowl and in the sea
neither can man’s ordinary consciousness glean its position,
and what’s being done to it.

One man keeps scouring yellow pages for someone who lists their self as:
“Enlightenment Instructor & Divorce Lawyer.”
(He says he doesn’t see how the two can be separated.)

Even though he is not an actor, one man says he still wants to discuss his new role
as a “hired killer.”
(Would it interest you to know that this was said to his automatic-consciousness?
“I wouldn’t interest me,” replied a common folk,
and one man’s one word, consistent private motto is: “Always.”)

In regard to the routine residency offered by ordinary life, one guy says:
“At the sorts of places I want to afford, you must bring your own bed bugs.”

Entertainment Insider News.
When you’ve really got your act down and know what you’re doing,
you can do an hour show in twenty minutes.

After a survey of human literary landscape a man reflected:
“Is it possible to write a city book not based on heartbreak,
or a complaint of some sort?”

More Thespianian Spinadoodle.
One man says: “It’s bad enough seeing everyday people being themselves
without paying for the privilege of looking at actors struggling to pretend  to be everyday people.”

Some Solid City Advice.
If you announce that you’re dying you better by god –  DIE!
(Or have a really heartwarming follow up story to explain why you didn’t.)

A father so directed a son:
“Don’t be too upset by the continuing existence of conflicting opinions
concerning everything in man’s cultural world, for were they not with us always,
your muse of ennui might become omnipresent and your organs of irritability
could atrophy.”

As he tried to feed the ducks to the lilies in city pond a man mused:
“If consciousness worked like men perfunctorily profess that it does, it would not be possible for a person to ever say anything that surprised them or made them laugh.”
(“Quack quack”, went the ghost of John Quincy Mallard.)

A man writes The Allegory Advisor:
“If down is inseparably connected to up, then what is the use in even trying?”
    “Sir: Both ‘connected’ and ‘inseparably’ are overly confining concepts;
it's time to shake out your consciousness and get rid of the creases and wrinkles
that have accumulated therein during the winter months.”

Rebel’s Pith Of The Day.
Life has a hole in it  --  this is what makes the rebel's life possible.

Two Tongues In A Verbal Fox Trot.
“All living systems are self fueling.”
    “Would that include consciousness?”
“Does not our instant conversation present proof thereof!?”

As the straw boss walked past, he whispered to the man:
“If you can’t finally work alone  --   this job will never get done.”

When a guy read an ad for item described thus: “Spy Scope Lets You
See Around Corners, Over Fences And Into Other People’s Private Affairs
Without Ever Being Noticed” he was disappointed to discover it was from
a scientific novelties company and not a manufacturer of after market items
related to consciousness.

When those around him began to speak of travel one man mused: “I want to go to a place where people think about things they have no actual need to know about.
Isn’t that what this whole inner rebellion is about?!
(Except in the case of us rebels, the unnecessary things are the very ones
we MUST know about.
Gawd!  am I lucky!”)

Expansion Of A Previous News Item.
Any explanation of Life also has a hole in it.

Today’s Lumbar Legend.
Long away and far ago the intellectual/spiritual leader of this one community,
in his daily messages of admonitions, exhortations and all around bombasts,
for years (without being conscious of it) used examples from his own life
to make his points, and when his followers eventually became aware of this,
they were so outraged, infuriated, fascinated and smitten thereby that to get even
they caused themselves and everyone they knew to begin behaving similarly;
and this is the origins of the unknown Internal Tower Of Babel & Bewilderment.
(Footnote: The neat thing about legends is that they always seem to have happened to somebody else.)

The man-who-knows is pro everything and anti all antis (though no one can tell).

The Nutritional Question Of The Day.
What dish will ordinary men order with more passion than one devoid of all calories?
“If it's empty  –   I WANT IT!”  be the city dweller's silentious slogan.

What the routine brain cells of consciousness do with and for one another
is the unrivaled prototype of log rolling.

Though it’s hard to tell from their literal words, in truth everyone is hollering:
“Let me in!” *

J

* Except for those few shouting: “Let me out!”
