A
speaker in city park declaimed:
“We
live in perilous times my friends – perilous times indeed!”
And
a fellow under an unbleached pine tree called him aside and said:
“Consider my friend: there are but three possibilities:
either live in perilous times; don’t be alive, or don’t live in perilous
times,”
to
which the speaker responded:
“Your
first two choices I clearly can perceive, but the third (though alien)
is
yet intriguing; how might such be pursued?”
and
the man under the tree just smiled for a moment
-- then said:
“The nervous-system-rebel has certain
brain cells that know a certain something
to which others appear oblivious.
“‘Appear’
can sure be a tricky word.”
“Yes, and captious too.”
“And
don’t forget, camouflagous.”
A
father said to a son:
“Without
questions, you can learn nothing,
and
without the right type
of questions, you still can’t.”
“But how do you know which are the right type?”
“Seems
an impossible task, huh?!
(And, ha ha.)”
As
he left the chapel after morning vapors,
a
general replaced his hat – sucked in his fat –
assumed
the thoughtful military stance and mused:
“Better
to submit my head to local verbal battering than be subjected to a bad
haircut by foreigners.”
Red
circuit men know instinctively on which side
real bread is always buttered.
For
the certain man, without intelligent aggression – there is
nothing.
Things
that can be a dead giveaway to the man with the independent consciousness
can just be dead to others.
If
you know how: having fun can be as informative as being instructed.
(The trick is:
you have to be completely in charge
of it.)
The
proper treatment for some ills is a
kind touch & reassuring word;
for
others – neglect,
and
to heal-thyself you
must be familiar with both.
Said
a father to a son: “As regards the relative value of, aspects
vs. people,
remember
this: without the presence of humans – coincidence is nothing.”
Inefficient
t-cells will allow cancer cells to settle into the body, and inattentive
brain
cells will allow irrelevant ideas to settle into consciousness --
when
they should be directing the t-cells to attack the mutant growths.
What
a brain! – what a country! – what a life!
One
yellow circuit chap says he can think
much
better when
he
doesn’t do it like everyone else does.
Concerning
Memories & The Nervous System Rebel.
Those
who remember things that have happened to them – remember too
much.
Question:
What is wrong with the following sentence:
“There
is nothing wrong with this sentence.”
Questions
that have any guts are all trick
questions.
Said
one voice:
“What
I want are manly questions!
– questions that’ll slap you around
and
make you stand up straight and focus your attention!
Them’s
MY kinda questions!”
Only
the foolish talk of freedom:
the
certain man thinks in terms of non alignment.
Regarding
The Human Drama.
You
can come in during the middle of a play and it won’t matter
(not if a human wrote it).
Ordinary
consciousness speaks foolishly of being totally free;
the
certain man recognizes the availability of relative independence
via
mental non alignment:
privately
closing the book on the meaningless drama that normally never ends.
Apropos
Appearance & Responsibility.
Beauty
has no duty – and that is the beauty of it.
(“And also why
all heroes are ugly,” suggests a passing pigeon.)
Men
who write paeans in praise of another human being might consider
some
of the various over-the-counter drugs available.
A
man in whom the blue circuit was prominent mentioned that
he
emotionally feels much better when he doesn’t allow himself to feel like
his
nervous system wants him to.
(And speaking
of heroes): On another world is a warrior chieftain so intimidating
that
he has dared his life to ever end on him. (And thus far the
threat has worked.)
Each
man has a daily babble-quotient
which
life expects him to meet.
Let's
Hear It For The Oft Overlooked, Obvious.
Any
problem you have physically is not due to dead ancestors, gods,
curses
or bad karma --
but cells.
A
man is only truly dumb when he takes his dumb thoughts to be his
thoughts.
Uh
Oh! -- They're Back!
Any
difficulties you have mentally are not due to your parents, social pressures,
or
low self esteem --
but cells.
One
man declared: “I’ve about had it with cells!”
(And his mused:
“What a dumb thing to say.”)
A
gigantic tri colored snake with four heads got into one man’s house
--
and
he didn’t know what to do about it.
Just
beyond space --
and a bit past time
is
the place from where all of men’s normal thoughts are broadcast.
For
many years one man’s approach was: “How can I turn this thing off?” –
which
increased understanding ultimately turned into:
“I
no longer listen to what my vocal brain cells say;
as
improbable as it is,
I
have replaced that with me telling them what to do.”
