IN PRISON,
TWO INTO ONE WON'T GO

The Inner Outlier's More Agreeable Math
 AUGUST 5, 2004                                                                     © 2004: JAN COX

A man found an astonishingly ferocious little creature that he couldn’t identify,
or find in any reference book;
he put it in his pocket.....where it stayed.....until it became his pocket;
he then put his pocket in his mouth.....where it stayed.....until it became his mouth;
then he used his head to swallow his mouth   (and what happened after that, you damn well know).

Conversation.
“The only thing to do about stuff you don’t understand is criticize or make fun of it.”
    “How about not notice it?”
“Well......okay?.....”

The Permanent Permutation.
Everything in man’s second reality ultimately morphs into
every other thing possible there,
(something curiously close to perpetual motion machinery).
And one man’s cultural world hissed: “Don’t say I ain’t never gave you nothin’!  –
even you dung-hugging-philistines!”
In the universe’s physical reality rocks are restricted to being rocks, and feet feet,
but in the other reality formed by life through human consciousness,
nothing is confined to being what it at first appears to be  –  nothing that is
but man’s consciousness  –  a situation that is precisely what a few non ordinary men privately struggle with.
The Permanent Permutation for them is in their effort to free certain of their cells
from their inherent prison cells.

One day a guy said to his partner:
“I’ve decided that from now on my philosophy of life will be wrapped up in this
two word declaration: ‘No problem,’”
to which his inner associate replied:
“Ah, mon cher!  –   close but not quite, it should say: ‘No partner  –   no problem.’”
Proverb Update.
A one eyed/I’d man in the land-of-dark creates his own light.
Pragmatic Parallelism.
When in doubt  –   shut up and go for a swim.
There is a spot in the cerebral fluids where the water’s always fine,
in that it is not ruffled by the impotent splashing about of imbecilic siamese twins.
And the two joined hemispheres that compose man’s brain stand & vigorously object
to this comment to the judge. (Now there’s a good laugh for you: “The judge.”)
     “And why may I ask is that so funny?”
It wouldn’t be if, under that word woven robe was a single, unified arbitrator.
    “But that would be a consciousness fully awake to what is going on with life;
      not very likely, huh?!”
What do you think.

At city mental car lots just because you pay the, Drive Away Price
doesn’t mean you can thereby, get-away.
Whenever you ride any of second reality’s carousels: the ride IS the thing,
and while you’re not really going anywhere  –  you’re perfectly free to imagine whatever you like otherwise.
What’s the point in visiting amusement facilities if your consciousness is not amused.
    (“’Amused’ is not actually the word you mean is it? At least as far as the few are concerned?”)
Regarding Exceptions.
If it weren’t for impossible exceptions the certain man would have no reason to live,
(okay – perhaps too harsh): he would have nothing intangibly interesting to do in life.
     (“So rather than being upset by them: I should relish exceptions?”
A fair defining of what the exceptional few are about.)

One man complains:
“Every vehicle I have ever purchased in the city soon broke down.”
Note: No capable warden sells competent conveyances to prisoners.
Local conditions on one world wheezed: “What the hell do these creatures expect?!”
And so, the matter of expectations provides another distinguishing mark of
the certain man.

Rebel’s Political Principle Number Three.
Those thoughts that govern least  –  govern best.

Without a plan  –  to man matters always seem too brief and abrupt to be feasible;
take a lesson from life’s observable, long range approach,
(which is constructively impossible if you are a person whose consciousness
is embroiled in second reality plans.)
He-who-knows plans to eat when his stomach says so,
and doesn’t dream that his ordinary mind produces thoughts that he planned to have;
the lightning you see up in the sky, no man planned,
that lightning you feel in your nervous system, life has men saying they intend;
the man-who-knows   –   knows better and can thus do better,
(leastwise by his strictly personal standard.... which is predictably the only one he heeds).

If you are not a shill for your public self,
you may have potential in that special private area.

City Systems Analysis.
All second reality systems refer only to themselves;
even when they specifically indicate that they are not  –  they are,
(that’s why with every payment book  –  you get a car).
     “But I thought it was the other way around?!”
Which is why you can never get out of town.

Penal Health News.
Everything that occurs in prison is the placebo effect  –
and the things that aren’t are just your imagination.

A one eyed man is a satisfied man:
pleased with the brilliance of his concentrated sight.

Feelings Update.
Pride and self pity are understandable outgrowths of men realizing
how dense other people are.

(“Hey -- where’s The Joke Of The Day?”
             Take it easy  –  we’ll get to it.)

The reason the city’s mental life boats are unfulfilling
is that half the potential passengers are pushing them away
while the other half are trying to pull them along side.

No cow is an island.
