The Neural Ambrosia That Is The Antidote For The Few

When You Get Consciousness, You Get What This Is About
__________________________________________

At a gathering of the Part Time Philosopher’s Society when it was his turn,
a member stood and delivered thus:
“A man who cannot control his dog cannot control his tongue,”
and after sitting back down, a fellow seated beside him whispered:
“I’m not sure I understand your comment,” and the speaker responded by asking:
“Do you have a dog?”
“As a matter of fact: I do not.”
“Then you do not have a useable tongue, and my remarks are irrelevant in your case,” and the man was left to ponder the connection between attention and words
(since by then he was pretty well convinced he had stepped into an allegorical scene
in which what was being said was not all that was being meant).
And the present President of the Society stepped in to note that this was once the description of Philosophy itself, during a time before consciousness had settled down, become civilized and lived in cities long enough to succumb to the
technical need for literal minded & speaked ness.
The mental attention of ordinary men acts like a dog in your verbal yard
that chases after the cars-of-words of others it hears and reads,
a situation (when combined with the same one in everybody else’s head)
results in the endless, apparently confusing, yet über coherent verbal traffic flow essential for civilization and the intangible world of man’s cultural, spiritual,
scientific and academic activities.
Mentally and verbally running after uncatchable, self produced ghosts is the life blood of the realms which distinguish man from all other forms of life.
(However: this is not what characterizes a certain mute few.)

The lions who run the jungle allow P.R. people to describe to the other creatures
the meaningless choices available to them in matters which do not directly conflict
with the lions' desires.

Normalcy In Prison.
The way to remain sane is to stay in your cell.

The Struggle For Power: Both At Home And Away.
Only the submissive ever have anything to regret.

Dialogue.
“When it comes to knowing: if you know TOO much – people won’t listen to you.
“I take it that people won’t listen to you.”
“..............How’d you know that?”

The way an awakened man can tell what you are not
is by what you clearly want to be seen as being.

Tongue Health For The Incarcerated.
If you don’t know what you’re talking about  –  talk a LOT.
(For maximum results: non stop.)

The kid asked the ole man:
“Have you a fresh description of what being-asleep is?”
“Okay: it’s letting whatever thought appears in your consciousness at the moment
become the one you believe that you think, without giving it any real thought.”
“So the way to get to the bottom of everything is to always give a thought to
the thought that just showed up in your consciousness!?”
    “Ah so.”

The way to keep your ears straight and normal is never listen to new music.

If you have to speak-up to feel you are liked,
your circle of friends will end up being all talkers.

Whilst roaming about in the city museum a chap mused: “I do so love antiquities,”
and his consciousness, glancing around at its own furnishings chimed in:
“Tell me about it.”

Conversation Secretly Recorded In Prison.
“What could be worse than being a bitter old man!?”
    “Being a dead old man!”
“Who said that?”
“The bitter old man over there.”

Men with standard sized, little pissant mental lives must zealously guard them
(along with their reputation).

Health News: (Corporeal & In.)
If you’re breathing and conscious  –  you’re at least partially delusional.

By rumor there once existed, just outside a major city,
a band of nervous-system-rebels who reputedly had as the secret electric core
of their activity this view:
“The purpose of life on this planet is for the forces of the universe to see who will eventually weaken and break.”

Bumper sticker spotted on another world:
“Guns Don’t Kill People  –  Cells Do.”
(Which many are uncertain has a prison reference.)

To take gravity, rain, darkness, illness, death and stupidity personally
is to be serious to the point of peril   (unless you are a member of the Ordinary Brotherhood).

Only those who have been submissive later feel the need to repent.

One man says what he likes most about getting angry at inanimate objects is that
they couldn’t be less interested, which he says he finds super impressive!

The only things an awakened man takes seriously are his hobbies
(which he does so in secret  –  not even talking about them to his self).

By birth: normal men have two states of consciousness,
and for a certain purpose  –  one of  'em ain’t worth a damn.

As regards the brain’s endless production of thought:
All men are on a trip  –  but are going nowhere.

How Life Proceeds In Prison.
Having limited choices is quite accepted – indeed, commonly welcomed by
those with limited desires.
(“Too many cars whizzing by bothers me.   Arf arf!”)

A stranger in the city (while waiting on a corner for the light to change)
was approached by a man who declared:
“Here: great minds are punished –  small ones rewarded,”
then a second citizen appeared who countered:
“No –  here: small minds are rewarded and great ones ignored,’
and was followed by a third inhabitant who grabbed his arm and asked:
“Do de cross town bus run all night long?” –  and in unison the first two added
the needed coda: “Do dah  –   do dah.”

One kid, commonly after the ole man had told him something, would plead:
“Come on, don’t say  that”  --
he did this so incessantly that finally once after having just said it, the elder begged: “Don’t say that  –  come on  --  don’t say that,”
and what a thoroughly charming and captivating couple they became.
One guy’s primary ongoing effort is to remember to continually go into his yard
and take his tongue away from his dog.

Those who forget that in prison you live under the:
one-foot-always-in-a-bucket-of-slop principle are doomed to forever limp  –
and never understand why.
(Tip: The cars of words ordinary passing your house and attracting your dog of attention
always lack at least one wheel.)

The energy necessary to entertain men's ordinary consciousness couldn’t be more mundane: if no tv is available, men will stare at a tumbling clothes dryer,
at ants on a march, even at other people talk;
can you believe that: at other people talk!

In Prison The Pattern Expands.
The dumb must be serious, and the serious, defensive.

The ole man said to the kid:
“If you want an approximation of what awakened consciousness feels like,
find a dog who will maintain eye contact with you for thirty seconds.”
   “You did say an approximation?”
“That's not good enough for ya?”
