IF IT ADDS UP IN PRISON,
IT'S USELESS ON THE OUTSIDE

A man who for many years had been involved in certain extraordinary activities regarding consciousness, one day had the ordinary form of his say to him:
“Tell me this: just what is going to happen if you ever do untangle and figure me out  –   where will you be then?”  –   but the man was smart enough to recognize
the siren song of a tar baby when he heard one.
On certain battle fields in another land, even those already wounded and on the ground have dread of a further, even worse, non physical injury.

In city park a chap offers this tip for creatures stuck in earth’s electrical grid:
“Pay no attention to info in binary form.”
“But wait a minute,” protested a by passer, “that would necessitate me not
even listening to my own  --  oh my!  --  I get what you mean.”

Consciousness in one man's head said:
“Just as the best a woman can expect is for her man not to obviously ogle
other females when she is watching him,
so is your situation with me.”
(“Screw that!” he muttered under his breath.)

As satisfied as an ordinary man is by sex
so too is the certain man by seeing what’s going on.   (Tit for tit.)

Adults have adult skin but not necessarily adult innards.

Aspiring to be part of the statistical age one man has announced that by
seventy three per cent does he approve of his thoughts above anyone else’s.

One man wrote a book  –
he entitled it: “Why Am I Here?”   –    then disappeared.

Ordinary people (not excluding the famous and powerful) love to be interviewed because it often (at least for just a moment) makes them realize
just how great and special they really are.

A Cheer For Those Imprisoned In The City.
“Those whose feelings have no end,
     will surely live to feel again;
if how you feel you cannot say,
you'll live to feel another day.

Push 'em back!  --  push 'em back!  --  rah, rah, rhoo!
     We've got a winner in Episodic U.”

One of the best laughs that one god had in his part of the universe
was when one of the creatures in his charge had seventy thousand of his
peers show up to see him and he believed that they actually came to see him.
(Backstage he noted that the guy had all the makings for a god himself
[in a quite sarcastic tone, it might be noted.])

Polar based, hostile humor always puts the laugh just a bit off center.

As the fight was winding down, one of the combatants, convinced he’d done his best, shouted to the unappreciative crowd: “I did my best!”
and the referee whispered to him: “You should’ve told ‘em that earlier.”
Listening to yourself is not the same as listening to others  –  unless you’re normal  –
which means that listening to your own inner words is the same AS listening to others;
only the man-who-knows can truly talk to his self.
(Ordinary people believing that they do are but hearing the impersonal,
random voice of life intended for the mortal herd.)

One man wrote unusual ideas  --  some were longer than others were short.

There is an unknown land where  –  if a thought is not original  –   it is not a thought.
Though men dream of visiting exotic and elaborate locales, at the base of their nervous system is the desire for a place that is simple and straightforward,
(only the certain few however have the desire sufficiently intense to actually act on it.)
The ordinary drool over brochures for Lard Land
whilst secretly longing to pare the fat from their incorporeal bones,
(and again: none but the nervous-system-rebel strongly enough to take action).

What men call some of the time is all of the time  –
there is in fact, nothing but: all the time.
(“Is this why it is so difficult to get anything actually accomplished
       in man’s spiritual/cultural milieu?”)

One man wrote stories in an effort to keep from having to live life,
(another painted pictures, another talked to god, another composed music,
all for the same reason).
All art is a search to find something else to do other than simply live life;
(now ask yourself):
how much more so is it with those who work to turn their consciousness into their art?
If the Great Metaphysical Adventure is the: Ultimate Distraction  –
what does that say about the indigenous attraction of routine existence?
(“I don’t get it: are you speaking for, or against such activity?”
One man spoke in metaphors least he slip up and accidentally speak plainly.
“Wait!  –   that is also pertinent to what normally goes on in my head.
Thanks!  –  maybe I do now get it.”)
Fact.
Everyone who wants to get-it badly enough will eventually get it.
“Do you know that for a fact?!”
Those who make up the facts get to define the facts.
“Ah-h-h!  –  you’re back to talking about congenital consciousness.
You know: if I just kept focused on this I believe that I might finally catch on  –
who knows?!  (Plus I’ve got an hour or so before a horse comes open on the merry go round.)”

When the prisoner heard the proverb: “He with nothing to lose, lives soundly,”
he wondered: “Could this possibly be applicable to consciousness?”

(A final word regarding DoingTheThing):
If your eyes don't instantly brighten and your mouth get full of grin whenever you think about what you're doing   --  you're not doing it right.
(“Pa pa: is it really possible to do this thing wrong?”
“No, but people enjoy that sort of emphatic verbal ending.”
     “Their ordinary consciousness, you mean!?”)
