Since
no one has any original talent, if you want to be famous for being talented,
imitate
someone who is.
“But you just said that no one has any original talent?!”
For
a man to succeed in any prison undertaking, he must fail there at.
One
Man's Prison Tip.
“Never
share a cell with a patriot.”
“Yeah! – or a really religious person.”
“How about a sports fanatic?”
“And you left out a political junkie.”
“Okay
already: never share a cell with anyone.”
(Which
would not be bad advice even for someone on the outside --
except
they wouldn’t need it --
since
they would already naturally be living like that.)
The
Great Unseen Foolish (Number Seven).
A
man trying to make sense
of life before he makes sense of himself.
Conversation.
“Threats
are meaningless.”
“What’s the rest of it?”
“That’s
it – there is no more.”
“O! – that’s frightening.”
“Question:
Why does a gazelle find a lion’s threats hollow? –
because
a lion makes none.”
“I suppose not to appear stupid I should say: ‘Oh! – now I get it!’”
“Fact:
Eventually – everybody
gets it!”
“But that can’t be known for certain since nothing is heard on the matter
from the dead.”
“Okay:
After men do die they cease looking confused or saying that they don’t
get it – how ‘bout that!”
“Humm.....yeah! – that's good enough for me.”
“In
prison, all matters can be ultimately settled – even though
they can’t.”
“How is that possible?”
“Words,
my friend – you ever hear of words?!”
Man’s
invented, intangible world of culture & spirituality is like the universe’s
most
agreeable restaurant: whatever you order, you can have it any
way you want it,
(with
what you agree with; with what you don’t; marinated in truth; served plain,
etc.).
On
another world was a people who once discovered a horse,
which
they sensed had the potential to run faster than any ever had –
but
it only had one leg –
then
someone finally mentioned this fact, then it magically had two –
and
when someone noted that it had two – it had three, and so on
until
it realized the potential they had initially sensed.
Extra
Galactic Follow Up.
The
steeds of rebel knights are not confined to a determinable number of legs.
Striving
for clarity: one man elides about half of what he wants
to
say (which is to say): what his mind is automatically primed to say.
(“I must say that I do not particularly care for all of your clarifications
of stories;
why don’t you stop it! – and also spare me a post scripted
explanation thereof.”)
One
man’s mind spoke up:
“Why
do you so relentlessly find fault with me?!”
“Because only that which has unfulfilled potential is worthy the effort.”
There
is one reality that has a little something for everybody –
guess where it is.
One
man says that the everyday grievances & afflictions of life
are
affecting him less & less
the
more & more he realizes the grievances & afflictions his mind causes
him
by
thinking about the ones of life.
The
primary incurable illness of one place, a few cure by forgetting about
it.
There
is one reality that has a little something special for a few special people
–
wanna
guess what it is and who they are?
One
man had a simple minded child --
but
everyone around him seemed to have one too
--
so
he accepted the situation as being normal --
and
let him live and die in that condition.
There
are two reasons men like metaphors and parables:
one
is that they do not identify particular humans by name, and two:
the
specific mortal activity being commented on is camouflaged as something
else.
(“Man! – I wish I could LIVE like that!”
The certain few can.)
Notation
Regarding One Of Mind’s Many Stratagems & Its True Purpose.
Early
on men invented numbers so they could count
things
–
rather
than have to think about
them.
The
boon to being an ordinary man is that if your mind says about an idea:
“It
works for me” – it works for you also.
(Any
qualitative judgment of this, is left to you.)
In
a reality nearly parallel to man’s --
in
an activity comparable to earthly psychiatry
--
one
practitioner thereof has a single course of treatment for all patients:
he
instructs them to tell him absolutely everything they can think of
that
might be related to their problem
–
in
the minutest detail – no matter how long it might take;
he
encourages them in this persistently until they are obviously
exhausted
by their talking about it;
at
which time he scribbles some note on their file folder --
closes it --
stands
up and says to the patient: “Aw! – forget about it!”
(He
is a singular success in his field –
although
where he is they have no word for success –
thus
he does not know that he is – but then again,
he
does not think that he’s not either.)
The
kid asked the ole man:
“What
is the difference between being ignorant and being stupid?”
“Being ignorant (as in: unlearned) can be rectified.”
“So
how about being stupid?”
“What a dumb question” – and the kid abruptly got it.
