If You Don't Feel The Humor In Being Able To Think About
Being Alive  -- You'll Never Get What This Is About
_____________________________________________

Edginess.
It is so bad in prison that no one even trusts air and water.
When prisoners sense that their life is not under their control,
all manner of disturbing day dreams appear in the conscious part of their brains,
but in merciful reaction: their minds then create dream ways of dealing therewith,
(such as religion, psychological counseling, financial planning, et al).

The ole timer told the kid: “Here in a verbal hand full is the essence of what
The Great Enlightening, Liberating, Waking-up Work is all about:
At every moment if you are not holding consciousness under control  –
you are not as conscious as you can be.”
“Wait a minute!  –  are you saying that it is completely up to ME?!  –
at every instant of right-now  –  is that what you’re telling me?!    OH MY GOD!”
(The lad knowing how much the elder enjoys over the top dramatics.)

Late one afternoon one man suddenly turned to his congenital thoughts
and sharply announced:
“If things should ultimately turn out as badly as I sometimes fear –
I’m holding YOU responsible!”
(And another chap’s thoughts upon hearing of this said: “But is that fair?”)

If.
If rats had better tailors they could seem as cute as squirrels.
(“Okay! –  just what the hell does this have to do with achieving a better state of
       consciousness?”)

One man confides: “When the voice in my head has not clearly identified itself
as the brain speaking  –  I do not trust it.”

For some reason: those in prison have no interest in information that
does not include the word, “I”.

Definition.
Independent Mind: The nearest thing there is to something that can live without normal nourishment.
Eating food from the hands of others is the unrealized cause of the rebel’s propensity
to take naps.

Over in a spot where such things are possible: the local god said:
“Yeah!  –   I may be a god  –  but I’m flexible!”

For some reason: those in prison are comfortable with the confinement.
(“But I’ve also heard that crazy people enjoy being strapped up in straight jackets.”)

Over in one place is a band of unconventional explorers who go by the name:

What Gives Here?!

The kid asked the ole man:
“What’s the significance of feeling it requires a lengthy essay
as opposed to brief sound bites to convey useful information about waking up?”
“Ah yes! –  your query takes me back to my own innocent childhood
and the many pleasant days spent sitting by the railroad tracks,
pondering why handcars went by faster than complete trains.”
“But they don’t!?”
“See the troubles you can get into with those protracted narratives.”
In the certain few: the naturally operating area of consciousness in their brain
(same as with everyone else) has thoughts that are complex and cumbersome  –
but they also have an unconventional region which, once ignited,
surveys and analyzes matters in another fashion entirely –
so different that it is difficult to describe (but –  so what! --  here goes again):
it’s like your inherent mind is an investigatory lab full of test equipment
(that is: the thoughts that come with the conscious part of everyone’s brain,
and which are sufficient for living an ordinary life),
and the other non standard mind of the nervous-system-rebel is like that same room,
but cleared of all the equipment  --  an empty place  –
with all the windows and doors wide open and no one there but you.
(Well, that’s it explained briefly,” added the elder,
knowing how much the lad enjoyed intentionally aimed, intramural irony.)

Here is a story with two versions:
one concerns a king and a reporter,
the other, a piece of proffered knowledge and the mind pondering it,
and to save time and conserve space, as the first one is being related,
you simultaneously think of the second.
A reporter asked a king:
"Governing others seems such an imprecise business  –   what is the trick?  –
is it that people will obey you if you act like you expect  them to obey?”
and the ruler replied:
“No no, it is much more than that  –
in fact I have never even considered any other approach!”  --
the mind smiled pleasantly at the synaptic connection representing the bit of info who said this and inquired:
“Is there the least possibility  that you grasped at all what I asked?”
(Oh! –  as you probably noticed: we jumped over into the second version there at the end.)

One man encourages all of his family to always drive with their headlights on  –  whether they have a car or not.

Two stages pertinent the nervous system rebel:
from: “My mind is out of my control,”
to: “This is brain speaking, and I am out of control.”

By the sex act do men attempt to make the analog digital,
(and in a non physical way do the few do the same in their own nervous system.)

More Regarding: Life In Prison.
Under cover of darkness does even more creep in.
(And let this be another lesson: You can depend on logic  –
but not necessarily to be your friend.)

Whenever asked about any particular matter one man will say:
“Tongue will be glad to respond        (of course I cannot speak for me…)”

There are only four words which one man finds tolerable to hear in his head: “This is brain speaking...”
