Updates On The Unnatural Independence

Once you realize what is going on with the machinery of your inner life
there is but one switch of any interest.

As they begin to die: everyone gets the blues  --  but:
as regards this inevitable fact’s mental component  --  you don’t have to,
and all that's required is: refuse to   --
which you can accomplish by suddenly looking at what the conscious part of your brain is saying about the matter.
The state of reactionary distraction native to man's mental process can withstand
damn near anything  --  save one: being watched.
(“Are you telling me that all you need do to wake-up is watch?”
If it is the watching that keeps your finger pressed down on the Pause button
of your brain's consciousness.)

Literary Update.
When you understand what's going on in your head (and thus what talk is about)
you never need to edit.

Only those with the conscious part of their brain stuck in man's routine dream state
will entertain the question of whether ‘tis better to be happy or wise;
men who’ve ne’er experienced ale naturally assume it tastes different than steak.

Once you realize how things work, all intangible preferences are blown away.

WAR ALERT!
There is but one great battle going on: between man’s thinking and his feeling --
played out on the screen of consciousness.

After your eyes are opened to the actual operation, all conflicts take a hike.

Said a father to a son:
“There can be a magic to the collective thinking of man; of groups like governing bodies surpassing the insight of those of the individuals composing them;
from that, being awake could be described as magic thinking achieved on your own.

(Continuation Of  Previous Story).
And in man’s thinking there are two battles possible:
between his thinking about what other people have said they think,
and his own original thinking (if he is one of the few capable of same).

The people coyly fluttered their eyes;
swept back their hair in a dramatic and come hither gesture,
then cooed to the potential tango tyrant:
“We wanna be dipped by you  --  just you, and nobody else but you…”

Your ordinary mental-based sense of self cannot think about whether or not
it is really you.

(Expansion Of Supra Item).
In his inner dance: the certain man is dipped only by  himself.

The ole show biz trooper said to the kid: “If we lived in a brighter universe:
those who look back and comment on their life would be laughed off stage.”

During his youth, the advice one kid continually received from his ole man was:
“Hey! --  go figure” a monition so heartily embraced by the lad that in his manhood
he became called the: Hey! – Go Figure Guy  --
a moniker with meaning that totally escaped those who mouthed it.
(“Ain’t that always the way!” added a guy just asking to be nicknamed the:
Ain’t That Always The Way man.)

What Some Believed They Heard.
“Hey gang!  --  let’s get together and go somewhere new!
Hey gang!  --  now that we’re here  --  what’ll we do?
  Hey I know  --  let’s standardize our thinking;
set up institutions to guide us,
and it’ll be just like it was back home!”

The way you identify ordinary mind is that any subject discussed by other humans,
it unhesitatingly finds worthy to express an opinion on.

To escape a snare: a trapped animal may chew off its foot; the certain man in his similar situation does it by walking away from the obvious and over used.

After many years of travel, one day a man mused: “My feet are beginning to die,
and are trying to make my mind feel sad in the process.”
(“Ain’t that how it goes!” noted the: If You Don’t Watch It chap.)

Another fellow decided that mundane body functions have nothing to do with
an intellectual life well spent  --  so the conscious part of his brain drowned.

A man who can routinely find fault with the ideas of others will be able to find all of the fault which life may ever need for him to find.
(“Yes, it is nice to know that you are not letting life down.
[But not so nice that I wouldn’t skip this part if I could.]”)

The president of city college, after receiving complaints and demands that
instructors of a higher intellectual level be found,
decided the more efficient approach would be to seek students of a lower one.

To civilized, imprisoned minds: words are the flesh on the bones of deeds.

In city park a chap was handing out pamphlets whose heading announced:
“The Combined Lesson Of The Century In Physics, Psychology,
And Good Old Fashioned Common Sense,”
and whose text consisted entirely of these words:
“Did water not run downhill: all of London--  including bankers, theologians,
and other important people  --  would be forced to sport aqualungs,
and human brains would be driven to the back stroke.”
Not far away by the fountain, another man proclaimed to passers by:
“If you don’t know what life is about: it’s difficult to maneuver,”
and if anyone slowed down at these words he would lean toward them and whisper: “Most people alive find it difficult to maneuver --  in a certain area,”
which apparently called for no additional comment  --  which is to say
that those hearing this seemed content to let it go at that.
(Which suddenly spurred a man by a tree to think:
“Hey!  --  I could be the: Let It Go At That guy!”)

Some things that cannot be stopped can be turned around.
Note For The Ordinary Stay At Homer.
Many things that can be turned around cannot be stopped.
(Interesting, no?!  how similar can be the advice to such dissimilar seeming parties?!
And the would be: I Don’t Want To Get Into All Of That man said:
“Hey!  --  I don’t want to get into all of that.”                    What’d you expect.)

In a unique fashion known and experienced only by him:
the certain man can always tell: “When it’s over”
by the realization that it’s not at all  over.

On a far away planet, apparently as a test (or perhaps a joke)
there appeared in their institutions, experts who actually understood the matters
about which they spoke to the people.
(Can’t science fiction be fun!)

After a late snack, the kid sat the ole man down and said:
“Without any less love, admiration and regard for you, I must say that
at times it is most difficult being your kid,” and the elder replied:
“I could pat you on the head, and say: ‘I see,’
but think about how hard it is being me.”
Agronomics Update.
A man who can have such interesting chats with himself is either nuts,
or a nut tree on the verge of blossoming.

Things are arranged so that prisoners continually engage in passionate
intramural contests which obviously can have no significance beyond the walls of
their confinement:
thus are mankind’s normal mental combatants both its leaders and its children.

The ole timer: “A person without conclusions is like a traveler without baggage.”
The kid: “And what is wrong with that?”
Ole timer: “You insolent pup!  --  go to your room!”
Kid: “But you know it is in a foreign country!” --
the elder turns, and smilingly glares with the expression that declares:
“You think I’m not aware of that.”

The consciousness men normally experience in their brain does not have the source commonly assumed.
