Dishing The Real Dirt On The Unconventional Few
 JUNE 8, 2004                                                                         © 2004: JAN COX

(While it is understood why some say they enjoy the Daily News,
but do not understand what it is really about, there is a part of everyone's brain which,
for fleeting, then forgotten moments, does.)
_______________________________

As the conscious part of one man's brain struggled for supremacy,
it invited the other areas of that organ to think of its uncommon activity as:

Like It Now Or We'll All Lump It Later.
In the world of man, even an irritating house guest has a name  --
if they didn’t, how would a man know what they are;
wolves know to drive foxes from their territory, but don’t know what personal insults
to shout after them as they’re leaving.
  There was once a world which believed words appeared first  --
  and that they subsequently created man.
Bye-bye, such a world  --  and good riddance  -- (wouldn’t you say.)

At the opening of one kingdom's Intellectual & Cultural Festival,
when the featured speakers were introduced and their topics announced,
(the first man’s being: “Sex As A Metaphor,”
the second one’s: “The Symbolism Of Food,”
and the third: “The Spiritual Significance Of Work,”)
the king whispered to an aide: “Have those men shot  --  pronto!”

At a literary reception at the electrician’s union hall one man mentioned that
he had given his memory-facilities their own name:
The Grandeur Of Doom And The Mighty Reckoning Of The Mightily Deceased.
Only in the city can a soldier be acceptant of being shot by a bullet fired five years ago.
   In the rebel’s life: being able to remember stuff is only one half of
   what memory can be. (Bearing in mind as always that the aims of the certain man,
   and those of humanity are not the same.)

Looking at a particular area during a visit to the city, one man observed:
“If this is what you people think of as information,
then I don’t want to see what you call entertainment.”

In Re City Originality.
Roarks come and go  --  but Tooheys are forever.

Imagining that your lover is also your friend is the kind of thing the mind does regarding the ideas it came with.
    (“Guess that could be where men first got such a notion, huh?!”)

The king of one neural land confided: “The best feature of the people is that
they don’t have the power to force you to see to their desires.”
To those welding power in man’s intangible realm:
it is not simply good to be in command  --  it is imperative! -- there IS no other life.
With the nervous-system-rebel however:
the internal power structure is something else altogether.
(There is not heard: “Let them eat cake,” but rather: “Now I consume me.”)

Obviously thinking in show biz terms,
one man describes mental life in the city as being a member of the permanent repertoire company of the Bend Over & Grab Your Ankles Theatre.

How Mind Can Work.
A man said: “During a period of my life I was consuming so much alcohol
that on several occasions I had to put myself into a detoxification program,
but I am proud to stand before you today and say that it has been
ten months, seventeen days, nine hours and twenty two minutes
since my last stay in a rehab clinic,” as he hoisted a celebratory double shot.
P.S. By declaring an event ironic do men's minds continually cover their eyes to
basic truths about themselves that under the instant circumstances
they find disconcerting;
in essence, by ignoring reality has the mind produced man's technology
(an overcoming of the physical world), but by a similar attitude toward itself
has the conscious part of man's brain become the source of his numerous
non physical complaints;
the mind putting one over on mother nature can be quite beneficial to man,
while doing so to itself proves to have a different result altogether.
What you don't know can hurt you some in the physical realm,
but what the conscious part of the brain doesn't see about itself
can make the would-be rebel wish he'd never left the cradle.

The Power & Value Of Looking Back.
The real-deal-man doesn’t look back.

Throughout history have humanity's spiritual and intellectual leaders continued to proclaim that man does not live an exemplary life  --  but --
they cannot point to any actually existing alternative on which they base their claim.
(Plus: no one ever notices this fact       [or at least they never mention it].)

There’s one world where everyone turned ugly.

One secret prison guideline: Keep the inmates concerned with morality,
and that will keep their minds off of thinking.

In Re City Success.
Fame there is: Being admired for your height by pigmies.

You wanna know how imprisoned man is, okay: he is so well imprisoned that
it is almost impossible for him to be aware of it.

One man sets his standards so high that even he is understanding when
he doesn't measure up to them.
(Is this man slicker  --  or stupider than others imagine?)

Query Regarding City Judgment.
Who will go before the Tribunal and argue the case for fleas.

When it comes to a real mental fight:
the certain man won't let his natural born, automatic thoughts even hold his coat.

Follow Up Question.
What annoys fleas?

To ordinary minds only the existence of one of two things would explain life:
either a conspiracy or a god.

In Re Discovery
A true Columbus can’t go the wrong way.

There comes a time in the certain man’s life when any word is one too many  --
  but this is after the stretch when there are never enough  --
    to adequately explain things.

The Important Questions life has put in men’s minds are not there to be answered  --  but to intimidate and distract.
                                                   Only a mutant few,
                                                   the setup, see through.

Ask not for whom this or that may toll but rather:
Who but man would do what man does.

An independent mind is an effortless mind;
  an independent mind is a cold blooded mind;
    an independent mind is a direct, point-blank, in-its-own-face mind;
      what more (besides nothing) could a rebel want?!

Outlier’s Health News.
In rebel camp: talking about yourself is the leading cause of hemophilia.

To believe that you are both  civilized and  mentally free
is to be already dead on your feet.
  The king kong who does survive in the city is the one never seen as an ape.
    Only the man who-knows-what's-going-on knows what a fraud he is,
    and understands how dangerous he is.....which is not at all.....
    unless you include the basic nature of his natural born temperament.

Non thinking sheep must be led  --
  so too thinking man  --
    but he doesn’t want to think about it.

Ponder not for whom this or that in life may toll, but rather consider:
Who but man would put up with what he does?
    “Pa pa: when I grow up can I not put up with anything other than
      what I physically must?”
“If you don’t  --  I’ll kill you myself.”         (Ah!  --  the comforting sounds of a typical rebel's family life.)
