There’s
this one man who has his worst nightmares before
he goes to bed
(“Just
so,” as he puts it, “we can get that nasty little piece of business out
of the way.”)
Conversation.
“On
one world they never sleep --
but no one has ever been there.”
“How do you know?”
“Well.....no
one has ever mentioned
it.”
“They may be the very ones who have been there.”
“Huh!
--
you could be right.”
(Speaking
of: being-right):
while ordinary men debate the matter like it’s the
deepest
mystery in the universe, truth is: it’s easy to know if what a man says
is right: if he points out that it is --
it isn’t. What could be simpler than
that!
“Ordering an undressed dog?”
Same
thing.
A
Question For Our Times (Okay: For Everybody’s Time).
When
you get down to it: what does a civilized man have
to be upset about anyway? --
right!
-- but does that stop him?!
Conversely:
is then the sign of an uncouth man that he will accept the obvious
--
even
if it is non troubling?
A
man stood in the busy village square and proclaimed:
“Why
should we defame our ancestors!” and a voice from the crowd shouted back:
“Well, they insulted us by having us!”
and
the King,
taking in the scene from atop the castle,
ordered
the Sheriff
to go down and break it up.
Cellular
infighting below causes cancer: higher up, confusion and threats to authority.
(The King knows
how to protect himself.
“Is that by keeping the people from thinking too much?”
More
precisely: from thinking about certain things.)
Among
the ordinary the neat thing about righteous-indignation
is that
through
it
a man can get extremely upset without feeling that
he
should be disturbed by being so.
Quiz:
If a man knew the winning lottery number --
but
realized that no one else could count that high,
would
he even try to tell anyone about it?
“Why do you ask questions that have no answers.”
Such
queries have to do with thinking --
not the subjects they verbally present.
“So: you get people to studying a map of, let’s say, Poland,
and then ask them about India!
-- what’s the point in
that?!?”
You
certainly came up with that picturization easily enough.
“Oh my god! --
it’s starting to work on ME!”
No
matter the sad reality of your physical dwelling place;
no
matter where others believe
that you live,
and
no matter where you may dream
of living,
your
most passionate thoughts
-- pleasant or otherwise
--
realized or not --
are
about where you actually do live,
and
a full understanding of this also offers the most ready way out.
Ordinary
minds not only study
maps --
but upon doing so,
begin
believing that there is where they live.
This
is why Lancelot,
alone of all the knights, never knew where he was headed.
(The
Uncertainty Principle in physics is a rip off of a much earlier understanding
in
another area.)
After
a certain time: those who still ask where the GreatQuest
is going --
ain’t.
And
the village free lance idiot sang as by he skipped:
If
you push your face right up against it, you could consider a certain matter
thus:
Men
find life to be serious-business
for one of two possible reasons:
one:
life has made man an overall serious minded creature,
or
two: life has made man specifically take being alive to be a serious matter,
yet
neither of the two actually tell you anything, in that they both merely
re
churn the question: Why do men’s minds take being alive so seriously.
Attempting
to look ahead, one chap thought:
"If
it is going to stop me from being outraged, I'm not sure I want
to wake-up."A speaker in city park spake:
“What
men call politics and religion are simply non physical forms of professional
wrestling --
but with participants of lesser conditioning and acting of a poorer quality."
(And
a man passing by with an umbrella smiled as he thought about how neat it
is
that
everything men think up to do besides eat, sleep and screw
can
also be found going on in their mind).
If
a man says that a particular something is true in the intangible world
--
then
it is true in his consciousness.
“And this is how we’re all screwed from the get go, huh?!”
(A crude way of putting it.)
When
asked what spiritual discipline he followed
(even
though he lied by even indicating that he had one)
he
yet told the truth when he gave its name: “Mental
Whips-&-Chains.”
All
seriousness from a man-who-knows is baby
talk to placate ordinary minds.
At
city college a professor professed:
“Only
those trapped between heaven and hell believe that a man can be: too-clever-for-his-own-good,”
and
a student raised his hand along with a question:
“By
the phrase: ‘trapped between heaven
and hell,’ do you intend to say:
Men
caught ‘twixt believing that some are very smart, and themselves, hardly
at all?”
Only crippled cheetahs resent the swiftness of the breed,
and men with normal sized consciousness, ideas they can’t grasp.
When you live in Cleveland
-- it’s good
to be despised
(“Hey! --
it makes sense.” And that’s all that counts, right?!)
One
man’s professed Enlightenment
was followed he says by a minor let down
when
he learned that part of his verbal description of what he'd realized therefrom
about life had already been used (his version):
One
gauge of how close you are to that certain corner is
how
many matters from your past continue to haunt you.
In
line with his decision to be more health minded,
one
guy went from being a chocolate covered bullshitter to a low fat one.
And
a final man mused:
“Are
you extraordinary if you can internally
do
extraordinary things? --
and
what does it matter anyway?!
(to anyone but you of course)”
