Put All The Many Different Stories About Humans Together,
And You Will Have The One Big One
____________________________

When civilization and the city are working properly,
the people engage in ongoing complex public rituals which appear hit-&-miss
in achieving their proclaimed aims, and whose original purposes are now forgotten.
Not unlike the blind running of a fish school                                (but without the attending chatter).

Pacing near city hall was a man holding high a placard that said:
“Temporary Things Give Only Temporary Pleasures  --
But What The Hell Do You Bozos Think Life’s About Anyway!”
“Pa pa: does that imply that a permanent mind would be permanently satisfied?”
“A solid question my boy, but not the sort enjoyed by those in the city.”

Those who offer spiritual help to the public are themselves asking for help.

Among those who can’t see: indifference can be taken for stupidity.
Those entranced with seeing angels fly find those who are not,
intellectually beneath them.
In all ways (many secretive and circuitous) does the city protect its status,
and cause those therein to sing its praises by having them continually sing their own.
Thus: the kingdom’s supreme pretension through the peons’ petty self promotion.
"Two thousand and four! --  and all is well!")

Sparring over other people’s behavior is about the best mental exercise
ordinary men get.                                                                            (“Phew!  --  feel the burn!”)

The stock market starts to rise again as investors begin to forget the last scandal on Wall Street  --  same as how ordinary men are able to maintain a relatively  continuous degree of ostensible complacency concerning their own intelligence.

If one man looked at himself in the mirror when he was all bundled up in
his city clothes, he would always laugh rather hostilely  --  then usually say:
“It’s not funny!”  –  and then reply: “That’s for me to decide”  --
which would then made him chuckle again, but this time more good-humoredly.

Walkin’.
One man normally took little teeny steps  --  except when he would remember his aim; then it would become long, loose limbered strides.                                              (“Yeah, baby!”)

Authors, singers, painters commonly make the place of their birth the central shtick of their professional life  --  as do all men their mental hometown for their personal one.
And a chap re-acts: “So you’re saying that if a man is a dunce for instance,
there’s something wrong in him making a living/reputation off of his dunceness?
A man’s gotta use what he’s got!”  He pointed to his head and concluded:
“And all he’s got is what he’s GOT!”
(Life is surely proud of that man and his oblique upholding of the notion that
the size and scope of human consciousness is what it is and that is the end of it.)
“Hey!” adds life’s nemesis (a bit of poetic foolishness)
“If men could  think better  --  wouldn’t  they think better!?”        (You handle that one.)

Question: Who can a plagiarist criticize?

An old friend explaining his lack of communication:
“You can like someone without talking to them.”
(His mind later said to him that he’d better not expect such in their relationship!)

One man says: “Philosophers, politicians and artists attack opponents’ ideas;
real men ridicule the way they look --  walk  --  comb their hair  --  the important stuff.”

Definition.
Talk: A mental word game men play in free moments.

All of  the ideas that collective men worship are worthy idols  --
in that each is filled with its worthy followers.
The Physics of Theology, Or: The Theology of Physics (Take Your Choice).
Up made up down just as good did evil, and true did false,
once man's mind had made them up.
All public rulers soon realize that to hold onto power they must concoct an enemy
for the people to oppose, or else there will not be the sufficient dynamics in play
to even have a collective public life.
Only men with mirrors grow, and only those with an inner sight that goes beyond mirrors go beyond standard growth.

Men were not the first earth creatures to try to construct a psychological,
mental model of their self, so as to better understand  why they are as they are:
hippos tried it first  --  but soon abandoned it as a useless endeavor.

Con Games Update.
The bigger the scam  --  the more important the trappings --
just look at civilization and the city mind.

The Normal Mental Way To Deal With Things.
If you can’t solve some great cosmological problem,
count the patterns in your carpet.

Those with the least understanding are the most vigorous in defense of
their reputation for wisdom.

A guy sitting under a tree in city park remarked that he for one is
always buoyed by hearing people say they: "'Wish-they-were-dead'  --
'cause here is one goal that anyone can achieve."

Everyone makes the best of a bad situation       (especially those planning its sequel).

The fear that real neural-knights must overcome is not physical,
but emotional: not based in an: out-there --   but an: in-here  --
in their own nervous system, where the true adventure lies.

There was once a planet of automobiles, who eventually learned to start themselves;
they originally considered this a great step forward  --
but soon began to bemoan what they'd done.
Moral: There ain't one  --  not if you're an automobile reading this.

A father said to a son:
“You do understand that even self effacement is still support of a specious self?!”
“What can you say about you that is not?”
“You tell me.”
