How
Mind Wishes Things Worked.
Getting
a new keyboard for your computer will give you new ideas.
One
man tried feeding his mind wild genius berries; the berries turned into
his mind.
Those
with constricted sight love to say (as a camouflaged imploration) that:
You
are what you eat -- when
what you are
directs you to eat only that which is compatible with you, and that can
become a comfortable part of the activity in your brain that says it is
you, and that makes such claims as: “You
are what you eat.”
Life
secretly created a wondrous jigsaw puzzle; too bad most men never get to
see it. (The letters in an anagram never quite get the point of it all.)
“No
matter where you stand (if it be on your natural born feet)
you
will never see -- The
Secret -- ‘cause you’re
standing on it.”
“But what if you change your position?”
“Adopting
a new verbal stance is what affords the ordinary mind the illusion of progress,
but feet (unrecognized for what they are) remain the feet forever covering
the very thing you seek."
“So it is a matter of: No one blinds
me but me?!”
“Better
put: Me not understanding what I just said about me blinding me
is
what blinds me.”
“Well, shit!”
“I
know -- ain’t it great!”

Update: When the way things are going
don’t make sense --
those
who can make sense of things get going.
Glancing
at the wreck at a synaptic intersection, one man sighs:
“That’s
what I live
for!”
One
man’s personal philosophy:
“Don’t
plan your fishing ‘til you know what bait is in the bucket.”
(He
avers this works equally well in the library as at the lake.)
Speaking
of that: one man goes noodlin’
in his own head.
“Yipes! Barehanded into the murky waters of the mammalian brain!
--
-- what’ll you whippersnappers think of next!”
Taking
a lesson from life’s way of giving out messages,
one
man began living his life in a code.
Before
going to sleep every night one man would say aloud:
“Tune
in tomorrow for an all new episode,”
then under his breath: “I hope.”
Need
some easement in your agitated anticipation, then remember this:
there
is always someone ahead of you in line.
(You
might also note that the city is the only place where you have to stand
in line;
the
Rim
Greaper has a: No
Wait policy -- only
Chagrins
‘R Us will put you on hold.)
Rule:
The conclusive happens all at once -- the uncertain drags on
f-o-r-e-v-e-r.
“Pa
pa: is this why time seems so skewed when I dream?”
Fact:
What actually goes on in life is quite abrupt --
while
what the mind thinks
about what it sees going on
is
like cold syrup poured over a porous
Dadaist.

Progress Proceeds In Man’s Mental-Only City Reality As Per A Sign That
Read:
“All
Fifty Cent Drinks Now Only A Dollar!”
The
wind’s motion in a smoke filled cell is tricky to track.
The
only words worthwhile to the real-deal-man are
those
that lead his thoughts to new places.
One
man’s incessantly expressed motto was: “Come clean” --
--
which no one was quite sure what meant.
The
sergeant sporting the medals for subversiveness said to a young recruit
in
the signal corps:
“When
it comes to the attempted passing of info you can count on this:
The
longer the setup -- the shorter the punch line,”
and
a passing lieutenant injected:
“Don’t
you mean: The longer the setup, the less informative the info?!”
--
which
made the NCO
suddenly realize that just the opposite was true!
(Leastwise
would be in a better
man’s army.)
The man who knows is in on a private joke for one.

Exactly
what sort of person is it who will struggle to experience a certain something
which, when it accidentally happens to other people, they find unwelcome?
When
this one man couldn’t seem to get himself to think of something new,
what
he’d do was go ahead and let his mind be the medium for whatever thought
was
automatically available, but all the time with a secret smirk.
Fact:
When
you can do strange stuff in your head --
--
AND KEEP IT HID FROM YOUR OWN MIND --
you
my friend, may have a future in the oblique big leagues after all.

Literary Obscuritas.
All
the world’s tales of a person being lost in a faraway land
are
not actually about physical persons.
“Look!”
cried Moses,
pointing to his head: “I told you we would find it,”
and
someone said: “Didn’t you mean to point A-head?!”
and
another voice injected: “Moses knows
what he’s doing.”
One
man wanted to get along with life so
badly that he damned near succeeded.
(“What
a friggin’ shame!”)
On
one world there is a shop whose advertised service is producing: “The
New You!” -- only problem
is: they won’t take an appointment from the old you.
Normal
knowledge is the monopoly life gives to man’s ordinary thinking.

local conditions: “We don’t want the kinds of surprises whereby

our widget factories come anything other than widgets.”)
A
city dweller with rats on his mind is hard pressed to ever set out effective
traps,
since
all such devices are designed by The
Pro Rodent Society.
Want
one less thing to sweat over?:
the
worst that can happen to
you in the city is to be humiliated --
and
then only be so amidst those for whom such a condition is ongoing.
(You
might also take note that city sweat is not the same as real sweat.)
Regarding
Dual If Not Parallel Realities
During
a visit to a treatment center a diagnostician noted:
"I
see that cancer and cupidity remain growth industries."
One
man, new in town, after being told several times that he was superficial
finally
said to himself: “Well, whatever
ficial is -- at least
I’m good at it.”

still have much to look forward to.
