Reporting On The Games The Many Never See

On one world the ability to think was given to creatures for the sole purpose of planning, and was never to be used regarding things already done.
(“Sounds like a pretty spooky place.”)

Late Breaking News!
He said he was just: “going for a ride”  --  then filled up the truck with himself,
and sped off a cliff backwards.

One man’s motto:
“Those who do not learn from the past are those who live in the past.”
“Pa pa: is the past actually a place?”
“Does the memory of a cut actually hurt?”
A notable feature of this planet’s reality is that to any question words can fashion,
they can imagine any answer they can fashion as being possible:
this is the principal ingredient in planning.
“But removed from physical affairs --  the keystone to cupidity, huh Dad?!”
    “Bingo, my boy.”

When he heard the term: The Ultimate Weight Loss Plan,
and discovered people applying this to their bodies, one man thought:
“They’re aiming too low.”

On another world: falling neither into nor out of yourself is a crime.

A Peek At The Unseen Reality Behind Words.
If those who make a point of their humility were truthful
at least they’d be practicing craftiness.....or maybe, efficiency....
or maybe, efficiency-in-craftiness (at any rate):
everything that a man says he is, has a pay off,
it’s just not necessarily what he thinks it is from listening to himself say what it is.
And a rhino notes: “One nice feature of humans is that they can’t fool us.”

A city bred lad inquired of his dad:
“Are the uncivilized happier than we are?”
and his reflective relative by way of appropriate reply
reminded him of the importance of time & place in all things (to wit):
them being able to ponder a question so potentially disruptive to the condition noted amidst the pleasant circumstances exemplary thereof.
Continued the elder:
“Even those who understand man’s state of dreams, do not understand it when in it;
(also known as): ‘You can’t ever get out of here while IN here’  --
which is one of the neatest features of being in our blood line,
with that peculiar little twist to the upper end of our nervous system (that is):
to get our consciousness in between the brain’s talking to itself,
and its hearing itself talk:
the ability to make a part of the machinery of your mind shift into a neutral gear
even while the rest of it runs as usual.
We’re the only humans who can, as it were: be mentally active at three different levels simultaneously, and were it not for this possibility,
the uncommon hunger we experience could never be fed.
All in all my son: we are both civilized and not, but as in every facet of our special life: we are so in secret, and thus no one knows whether we are happier or not.”
The boy pondered all of this for a moment, then said:
“Which I guess could be one definition of being happy?!”
     “On certain worlds."

One man had two mottoes: one regarding the physical affairs that occur in life,
and the other aimed at his inner world (and they were respectively):
“It’s all too much,” and: “It’s all not enough.”

If you’re not smarter than the person you’re listening to, you can’t learn anything.
(Note [if it be necessary] that this is not applicable to most people.)

Conversation.
“Those who want to share their life story with others are satisfied with it.”
     “Or else ashamed of it.”
“Well yeah  --  that too.”

A man asked himself: “Why is it sure to get a laugh in the movie when a character the audience knows to be a dunce suddenly says something intelligent sounding
just to make a false impression on someone?  Why?  --  why is this so sure fire?”

One man offered to be a good friend to himself,
but did note the difference in their ages.
(This is not perhaps, the man reported on previously who carries no identification.......maybe.)

A father said to a son: “That those who consider themselves intelligent
fret over the lack of intelligence in political leaders, thinking it has some relevance,
tells you all you need to know about ordinary men’s understanding of intelligence.”

One of the un credited developments of the collective is: self reference.
The herd runs on: food, water and mirrors.

After finally recuperating from a lingering, undiagnosed malady, a man mused:
“As nice as it is to be well: it is still disconcerting to recover from something,
and not know what it was you’ve recovered from  --
not totally unlike I initially felt for a while after I first woke up.”

Proverb Update.
Imitation is the sincerest admission of torpidity.
The Great Masters of the city are the latest chameleons.

Definition.
Non partisan thinking: The most indefensible activity possible for a man.

Reports From The War.
A dead soldier is a happy soldier,
(so is one wounded in no more than one eye/I).

A father told a son: “One man, when asked if he was Enlightened, didn’t answer  --
but also didn’t say what he meant by it.”

A son asked a father:
“In all the stories you tell me about:
'One man did or said so & so’  --

                                              that man is you, right?!”
                                                        “Us.”
