How Things Go  --   No!  --  How Mind Works  --  No!  -- Surely Not!
One man was unknowingly being made so sick by fungus in his house
that he increasingly didn’t feel like leaving the house.
Yes! – that is definitely about the mind.....(well.....it could be about other things too).

___

When he read how many more alligator and turtle eggs life produces than will survive, and see maturity, one man demanded to know if he was being treated similarly regarding the ideas he has.

Why Criticism Is A Blinding Agent For The Few.
If you think that something is wrong with a matter that interests you,
you will never understand it, since because you believe that as it is now, it is broken, you will not study it properly: your ordinary mind’s position is that
you have already studied it  --  and found it to be malfunctioning.  Case closed!
Nothing could be further from the certain man’s position.
(“Yes, I have studied the weather extensively, and now understand it:
I found it to be mostly: too rainy, too windy, and too cold.
Now on to politics and religion!”)

___

Ever notice that as genes get old they always tell younger ones: “Don’t do as I did,” and ever notice that they wait to say this until they are about to die.
Ever wonder why?
In the city you can’t: live-and-learn while you’re still alive.

___

Conversation.
“What’s the weirdest thing you’ve run across in life?”
“One human advising another human how to live (i.e.): how to be a human.”

___

When talking about the physical world outside of man (science & technology),
the whole point is to be as accurate as possible, while just the opposite is true
when discussing the so-called spiritual & psychological world inside of him.
(“What is this: super strange, or doubly neat in some way we don’t see?”)

___

Dialogue.
“A real man would be he who after being told he is dying would mention it to no one.”
“Close --  but a real man wouldn’t even mention it to himself.”

___

Urban Update.
In the city it is common for those who feel they have serious, personal-issues
to also believe that they are metaphysically, on-to-something.
Dolorem ergo praecipuus: I suffer  --  therefore I’m special.

Colloquy.
“What could be more fun than laughing at other people!”
      “Seeing life as it is.”

Do Give All Things Their Due.
There is one useful feature to being serious: it prepares you for being dead.

Combat News From The City Wars.
The man-who-knows is never  --  on-a-mission.

___

The only difference between a hermit and an ordinary man is that
the former has more of his conversations in his head than with other people.....
and the way most men do conversations, it makes little difference.

___

When he heard the reliable report that over 95% of all illnesses
will eventually go away whether you seek medical treatment or not,
one man wondered why this wouldn’t also be true concerning being dumb,
and unenlightened.
(“The great thing about living in this great country is that any person,
regardless of their political persuasion or social position,
can wonder about any damn thing they please!”)

___

In his study of the relationship between mind and thoughts,
one fellow says he pictures it as shoes telling feet:
“Hey! --  we can wear out before you can,”  and feet replying: “Don’t you bet on it.”
“It’s nice for a change to see an allegory aimed below the waist."
  Why?
"I don’t know  --  it just is.”                            (Probably someone from the footwear lobby.)

___

Another way of looking at memory is:
If it doesn’t concern food  --  it is not worth remembering.

___

A Heads Up To Those With Their Heads Up.
Any time you hear that subtle voice of man’s collective mind saying in your direction: “Hold on! --  there is no need to be thinking like that”  --   PRESS ON!

___

Today’s Travel Tip
Concerning The Difficulty Of Certain Types To Ever Flee The City Ballroom.
A critic is two entangled legs of a stumbling dance team.
To see what is going on with life is to realize that the human version involves
a whole lot of pissing in the wind combined with mock horror over
one’s constantly wet trousers.
Alligators’ snarling is about one another’s physical presence:
men are much more sophisticated in theirs.

___

When Willard The Wonder Horse found himself in a land where
no one else could count, he mused:
“Why would any Gargantua purposefully put himself amongst Lilliputians,
and want to be their king;
how can a real man’s mind settle for the herd’s version of thinking.”
Stare humerus nanus ergo homo sustinere nanus:
I stand on the shoulders of dwarfs -- therefore I am a man supported by dwarfs.

Reminder: The herd carries its own.
(Remember that next time you try to flag a cab.)
