Making-peace-with-yourself
does seem like the least
you can do.
Second
Version.
Making-peace-with-yourself
does seem like the least you can do --
especially
since your situation can never be otherwise.
“But
how do you justify that with the description I’ve heard here of the human
mind as: ‘A wound that never heals?’”
According
to one people’s loke fore:
“The
awakened man is the gold tooth in god’s smile --
...if there is such a being --
...and if he has dental work."
And
within a dozen seconds or so someone said:
“Hold
up partner: at first that sounded all right, but if you think about it:
who
would want
to be a flashy feature of some deity so low rent that
he
has bad teeth?”
The
more profitable question would have been:
“Why
can anything sound
all right -- until you think about it?”
“No no, you can’t pull that shit one me:
when you first hear some
things they DON’T sound all right,”
and
him bothering to bring this up is proof he would not understand it,
Theology
Battered & Baked.
Men
have always been demon possessed
--
they
just keep changing the word for demon.
You
and your thinking can always appear to be a futurist –
all
you need do is keep coming up with new names for yesterday.
(It
is a bonus to think of fresh ways of condemning it.)
City
folk tend to grin like sheep, or scowl like hogs whenever they say something
especially dumb, or plagiarized.
“The
secret’s in the genes!”
“Really?”
“There
is no secret -- it’s all out here in the open!”
“So why can’t I see it?”
“Your
genes...........I suppose.”
After
some years of investigating the matter, one man now says
that
the fact the brain doesn’t bleed should have tipped him off.
The
Curious Dynamics Of Certain Types Of Movement.
When
you’re trying to get away
from something,
you
can’t see what is holding you as long as you think there is something wrong
with whatever it is that might be holding you.
Trimmed
Version.
You
can’t reach Olympus
while something is amiss in Athens.
“Pa
pa: is that what’s meant by a hunchback trying to straighten himself up
by
carrying
around Hugo’s
collected works?”
Regarding
The Nature Of What Men Call Their: Philosophies.
The
philosophy of dieters is always different from that of pizza makers.
“Why
didn’t you go ahead and say: hormones & neurons
instead
of: dieters & pizza makers.”
Would
your neurons then have let you as easily hear what was said?
If
it’s true in real life, it’s true in metaphor;
what
else is metaphor for?!
Those
who long for voices -- hear voices,
and
those who search for signs -- see signs,
but
the certain man wanting an unobstructed view of how things are
does
not partake of such illusory assistance the mind projects as being without.
Men
who won’t give a particular painting the time of day when it is in their
house
will
go ga-ga over it if they look out and see it on the sidewalk.
“Pa
pa: is this what’s behind everyone in the city believing that everyone
else
has
a better car than they do, while everybody drives the same model?”
Technology
is something to help out;
culture
is something to argue about.
After
the plain reality of life initially looked men dead in the eye --
and
they blinked and turned away --
they
then began referring to it as: God,
The Creator, The Absolute, and so on,
and
while the names are of no importance,
the
act of men bestowing them on life is,
in
that it moved it a step away from their direct awareness.
The
Snake
was acceptable enough -- until Adam’s
mind yelled: “SNAKE! SNAKE!”

But Who Knows How Abused.
Men
with important sounding titles are a serious lot.
Under some conditions: originality is of little value -- save to the originator.
On
one world they say: “A man-who-knows-what-is-going-on
has
no mind of his own -- but has the mind of everyone.”
(There’s
no profit in visiting a foreign place if you do not grasp their metaphors.)
Commercial
News.
If
the collective is goods -- the individual is services.
Commenting
on other people’s thoughts helps keep men from realizing that
they
have none of their own.
Says
one man: “I fear nothing imaginary -- including my own stupidity
& importance.”
“Pa
pa: why his redundancy?”
"The mind’s normal growth in the city is like that of cells: by division."
“Didn’t
you leave out: ‘meaningless?’”
"Oops! Thanks."
Myths,
metaphors and all symbolism are like a train that can lay down its own
tracks just ahead of itself;
now
picture a parallel situation with the certain man and his air-o-plane,
(the
omnidirectional spreading of air.)
“Pa
pa: is this why you say that everything a man needs to know he can see
by
looking
through the opening made when he puts his thumb and first finger together.”

Some
of you might be interested to know that what the lad just mentioned
was
the very first method devised to
Achieve Enlightenment,
but
fell out of use due to no one being able to come up with a name for it
that sounded sufficiently metaphysical.
