When
one man heard of a contest in which the first prize was getting to meet
a
certain
famous person,
he
shuddered to think what the booby prize must be.
A
father (with that special aim unique to their family blood line) said to
a son:
“Some
myths say that man was created from the same substance as life itself,
while
others hold that he came about ex
nihilio (from no substance
at all)
and
was produced from no more than the will of life,
which
leaves us with an interesting question: Where
did the likes of us come from?”
Unrealized
Laws.
The
universal is gradual;
only
local conditions abrupt
(same
as the relationship between hormones and neurons, now and all other times,
consciousness and thought).
As
everyone makes their individual departure from the initial garden of silent
paradise they have a split second encounter, eyeball-to-eyeball, with life
itself,
and
most (as they are supposed to) blink and instantly look away
as
life smiles and shouts: “Next!”
(Oh yeah, a few don’t).
A
curious feature of this curious adventure is that:
only
a man with no past has a future.
During
their family’s private celebration of Super
Mental Fitness Week
a
father noted to a son:
“Trying
to continually entertain another person can drive you to total distraction
-- (also true, you yourself, employing ordinary thoughts),”
and
after much mulling the lad later mused:
“If
that don’t explain damn near everything, I’m not sure I wanna hear any
more.”
Everyone
has their favorite intangible pastimes in life, but he alone who is trying
to
get
to the bottom of this incorporeal world has one which can be pursued alone;
herds
have their hobbies, but never one which could lead to the
dissolution
of the herd -- however,
the
certain man subjects the herd in his head to precisely such a pastime.
In
one land they say that no man actually has an individual aim
unless
it is one that either came from outside his territory,
or
one he discovered that no one else seems to want,
(oh
yeah: and it must also be one that he can’t explain to anybody).
At
times when things would start to feel spooky and seem to be getting out
of control this one guy would take a threatening tone to his brain and
say:
“Okay,
I’ve told you before: If I go -- I’m taking you with me.”
One
careful guy keeps all of his best ideas in a safe deposit box IN ANOTHER
CITY (“Just in case,” says he: “Just in fuckin’ case.”)

How
Things Are: A Beginner’s Guide For Those Befuddled By The Relationship
Between Life And The Universe.
When
one man was suddenly and instantly incinerated by an erupting volcano,
a
chap standing nearby wagged a disapproving finger at the rampaging lava
and said: “He was an intellectual.”
Meanwhile:
The
Godfather Of Non Hormonal Soul kicked
off the band,
and
began to sing:
“Get up offa that thing,
think and you’ll feel better;
get up offa that thing,
think and be unfettered.”
On
a certain adolescent planet, after much discussion, pushing and shoving,
a
vote was taken which resulted in the establishment of a world wide motto:
“If
You’re Mad -- Too Bad.”
Being
dumb -- REALLY dumb
is
like being ugly without a mirror.
A
man of understanding will consistently say things to people that will please
them.
And
in a continuing attempt to put into practice his ideas,
one
man recently presented this statement: “The less said the.”
