More Conversations And Unconventional Miscellany

One fine morn said a father to a son:
“We live in two worlds: one down here on the ground where we eat, fuck and fart,
and an invisible one, floating up in the air all around man wherein he talks of gods, afterlives, good, evil, truth, justice, and the like.

What everyone sees going on in life is what is going on in the inanimate universe,
and in man’s physical world, but what is going on extra physically
is not what anyone’s thoughts see going on;
thoughts can see quite well what is going on in the physical realm,
but are by present nature blind to what is going on in man’s other world.

Being ordinary and asleep is not seeing what’s going on verbally;
everyone sees what is going on physically, but only an awakened man sees what is going on with men’s talk and the unseen world  --
which his words forget is imaginary as soon as they start talking about it.

My boy: the word irony exists not because of the occurrence of unexpected results, but rather from men’s stupidity in not expecting them.”

Overheard in the city, said one chap to another:
“It is apparently impossible for humans to over dramatize the dangers of life  --   thankfully!”

Come noon, the father picked it up again:
“Here is another example of how things are down here on the ground
compared to how words say they are up in the floating ether world:
To many minds (some held in high esteem) to choose death rather than
pay homage to a particular god or political party is deemed most admirable,
whereas it is a supremely stupid thing to do: all loss and no gain  --
the question is: Why does talk do this?

At street-level, men have no way of knowing what might be individually beneficial
for them to do  --   except to extraordinarily ponder the city’s
institutionalized directives of what men should not do.

Sheep look where shepherds point, but in our family  --  Hey! --  look over there!”

Fashion News.
Kings and priests learned to dress up funny as a needed distraction  --
and for the same reason the mind learned to talk about itself.

                                                  If thoughts could wear clothes,
                                                  their tastes would make you
                                                               hold your nose.

Later the father spoke again to the son:
“It’s hard to be enthusiastic when you don’t feel enthusiastic;
you can instantly make yourself enthusiastic with your mind;
it is quite difficult to keep this up for long, but
the amazing and potentially useful feature of it is
that you can do it at all  --
the question is: How can this be?”

The class in the city was well underway,
meeting faithfully on its appointed day
when the instructor announced that it was not possible to cover all of
the needed materials within the time allotted,
and a voice asked why they didn’t just increase the frequency of their meetings,
to which he replied:  “What?!  --  and get even further behind!”

Those who actually know something  --  didn’t actually learn it.

No wolf pack can accommodate more than one alpha male  --
so too, no routine mind, self instruction;
the reason in fact that cities provide places of instruction
is so that men will not get  so involved.

From Our Dictionary: A Definition: Metagnostic:
A super hero with no secret identity  --  no costume
with underwear worn on the outside of his mental clothing,
drawing attention to  --  by clearly hiding --   his shortcomings.

Being pissed is the only rationale the pissed need for being pissed.
    “But how can the pissed be other than what they are?”
In the city, your rhetorical question is indeed the final word on the subject................

    ”And that’s all you have to say about it?”

Night nosing near, the son asked the father:
“Are the things I want to know the same ones you did growing up?”
     “Yes.”
“And you now know everything you ever wanted to know.”
    “Yes.”
“Is there anything about it all that you can tell me,
more than you already have?”
    “Not really.”
“What does: ‘not-really’ mean?”
    “It means that there is more than I have told you, but it is way past words:
it is the basis on which mind stands, surveys life, and delivers its reports to man;
I know fully what you are asking, and if it were possible
I would respond in the manner you hoped for,
but as much as can be said and analyzed about the alphabet,
no letter therein can ever explain itself:
the man who realizes what is going on --  can --  just not TO anyone:
believing in such explanations is what keeps a man FROM realizing.”

In the physical realm: it may be better to rent than own;
in the other one: better to own for yourself  --  then abandon.
