The
first time he encountered a mirror and saw his reflection, a man exclaimed:
“It’s
a conspiracy!” --
and
when he looked on the back and found the name of the manufacturer he declared:
”And here’s the ones conspiring to make me believe there IS a conspiracy!”
--
and
when his wife, hearing all the commotion, came into the room,
and
told him to calm down and stop imagining things, he screamed at her:
“Now
you’re
conspiring to make me think that there is no conspiracy!”
and
an email just arrived claiming the reporting of this story to be clear
proof
of
my own conspiratorial involvement --
and
to think: it all began innocently enough -- with just a mirror.
Real
sights are real sights --
same as real stories are actual allegories.
___________
After
reading a recent story here about a place so dedicated to fairness that
the ugly get mirrors at a discount, a man asks if there is some way to
apply this to his stupidity.
The
mind, unbeknownst to itself, wants only distorted looks at its intangible
world.
When
you do not realize that what you desire is funny
images --
you
do not recognize them as being
funny.
___________
One
man looked at his genes and finally understood --
few
ever do.
___________
Over
in a house in the city, a man declared: “I hate the new!” --
and
some of his old stuff said: “Good boy!” --
which
was the cause of a pause......after which the man pointedly asked:
“Haven’t
you said that to me before?” –
but
his old stuff could recognize a trick question, and didn’t respond.
___________
One
man muses: “Used to: everything had to be just
right
--
now
it just being is sufficient.”
___________
If
ordinary men could (as they put it): really-say-what-they-mean,
they’d
realize that what they say doesn’t mean anything.
___________
Those
who love to proclaim that this-or-that new approach is “no miracle cure”
do
not (Surprise!)
seek one.
___________
Regarding
Authorship.
Having
blank paper is no guarantee you can write,
but
having a blank mind assures that you can (of a certain sort).
___________
How
Spatial Arrangements In A Man’s Life Can Reveal Much.
The
Minister Of Various Things gave the
king his daily briefing in these words:
“Sire:
a man with a weasel stuck up his nose is no immediate threat to the throne.”
___________
Everything
that one man wanted to know -- he knew already --
but
he had to pay someone to show him that he did;
the
punch line to this story is available in two flavors:
one
is: but he had to pay someone to unwittingly show him that he did, and
the other:
paid
someone to show him that he did -- who understood
that he alone did.
___________
How
Mind Seems To Rationally Work When In Fact Speciousness Is Actually Afoot.
About
some occurrence in their life do men commonly say: "It's not fair," --
which
is them actually saying:"I don’t like it? What happened?" --
and
in two distinct ways are men deaf to what is going on:
number
one is they do not acknowledge the real intent of what they are saying,
and
number two is that even though everyone firmly feels they unerringly recognize
what is fair in life and what is not -- men have nothing outside
of their own lives by which to establish a standard of fairness.
Dogmatic,
full bore assertions in an unrecognized vacuum --
that
is man's mental life in the city.
When
asked if he: believed-in-facts,
one man replied: “Yeah -- when they work.”
