The Great Defiance
_______________

One morning a father, over coffee, said to a son:
“All men are somewhat resistant, but a few are downright defiant.
For survival, do all creatures by nature, physically resist selective conditions,
but a few men are born also with an unconventional twist to their nature
that reveals itself in the conscious part of their brain as an attitude
that is in outright contempt of life’s conditions;
this of course in the physical realm would be insane --
but in the mental one  --  for these few  --  it translates into super sanity.

Though even life itself cannot ultimately overcome the physical conditions in which
it is, these few humans (due to unusual genetic blueprints)
have an inherent urge to defy, ignore, roll over certain of the very conditions that are the overall breath of their existence: not any conditions that actually contain oxygen,
but the ones in their mind that comment on these conditions.
When normal people are hurt they cry: ‘Ow!’ --
when ordinary people are verbally, emotionally hurt they cry: ‘Ow!’ --
these outliers would silently say: “Fuck --  'Ow!’”  --
and in the latter instance is where it is outstanding.

Routine men (if the circumstances require it) can refrain from overtly crying: “Ow!’ when physically hurt (not that they want to, nor to any profit),
but no conventionally wired human being has anywhere in his genetic programming the instinct-to, or interest-in not crying: ‘Ow!’ when non physically battered.
What goes naturally along with that unique feature of man to feel what he has termed: ‘emotional, and mental pain’ is the crying out in pain,
which is his acknowledgement both of its existence and his submission thereto
(what is more natural and inevitable than giving into nature!)
The nervous system rebel however has in certain places, cellular activity that
responds differently to verbally inflicted pain than it does to that applied to their body;
when they are physically hurt they may say: ‘Ow!’ --
but the next step normal to ordinary men of their thoughts then commenting on the injustice, etc. of them suffering this pain  --  gets rerouted  --  scoffed at  --  made fun of.
Should such a secretly defiant one, after an examination be informed by a doctor
that he has the seeds of a grave illness that will eventually show itself quite painfully (and he could not be so informed did he not have thoughts)
the unusual area of his nervous system would disdain whatever the thoughts which immediately appeared at the door of his consciousness when the news was delivered, had to say:
to his special nature, a physician saying: ‘You are dying’ is something completely different than whatever the thoughts in his head say upon hearing the doctor’s words.”

The elder poured 'em another cup, and added:
“This one little thing means everything to these few.”

_______________

A major factor in the maintenance of men’s verbal sanity is their
endless conversations centered around them repeating a tacitly agreed upon observation regarding some recent event,
and it is in no way dependent on whether the event is of any actual significance,
or their comment about it valid.

After you realize what’s what you then can either:
start being fatalistic, or willfully become unreasonable in your expectation of life,
(perhaps with an accompanying, inspirational motto: “Fuck the seemingly inevitable!”)

A physician mused to himself: “When it’s fourth quarter, fourth down,
and four seconds on the clock: a man’s only cure is the one that comes from himself,” and then his mind wondered if the same be so regarding a man’s waking up.

An Example Of Neurons Acting Cleverly Even If It Bumfucks Hormones.
In an efficiency move: as he turns the pages of a book with his left hand,
one guy licks the fingers on his right.

The more solemn ye be about curing-your-ills  --   the tighter will they cling to you.
(Now you know this does not refer to anything other than your physical health   --   [right!])

News From An Uplifting Aspect Of The City’s Underworld.
Only the certain man can mentally rat his self  out.

One man says: “The trick is: C.A.  – cellular activity.
The answer to all questions is: cellular activity:
every question is: cellular activity:
the source of all problems is: cellular activity:
the solution to all problems is: cellular activity:
whether I feel good or bad, whether I feel happy or sad is decided by: cellular activity;
everything I want is determined by: cellular activity;
everything that annoys me comes from: cellular activity;
everything I enjoy is due to: cellular activity;
me thinking and saying all of this is possible only through: cellular activity;
question to me: What else do I think all this shit I do IS?!”

The Situation Laid Out In Terms Of Tempo.
The nervous system is a rhumba and the mind a two beat.

One guy concluded that there were but two things of any significance he could say: one was to insincerely smile,
and the other was: “Damn conditions!”
Ordinary men who believe themselves defiant see the possibilities of dealing with life’s circumstances as either: you give in and face the fact you are dying,
or you act outraged at doctors,
while the attitude of the rebel (who really knows how to do it) is that you either:
give in to your conditions, or you unzip and piss on the bramble bushes.

Advanced version of previously noted trick:
go from cellular activity to cellular excitement  --  real EXCITEMENT!  --
(and it's something you have to stay on top of).

A father told a son: "There's only one sure way to be happy  --  pretend to be."

One man in his older years said to himself:
“I am physically held together with screws, stitches and implants:
the rest of me, by irrational determination.”

Super advanced version of previously noted trick:
going from: cellular excitement to: cellular invincibility.

(Related Info you might note): You can be fooled into believing that neurons
rather than hormones can be the source of excitement  --   BUT,
via neurons you can fool hormones into BEING excited.
(And you could sing along: “How’s fooling who  -- oh, who’s fooling who.”)

When there are only two people at home  --  it’s weird:
when there are two people there but the aggressive actions of one of them
makes it seem like there is only one  --
it makes weirdness look downright wholesome.

Being-serious is something life has provided so that men who don’t know what to do,
 will have something to do.
