The Few's Only Way Out Since They Found Themselves In

To his brother in law’s oldest cousin one man offered this advice:
“Never bump a nervous man holding a gun,
or a stupid one with your fate in his pocket” –
this counsel is believed by some to have in later years saved the lad
from a number of meaningless memberships in many well known organizations.
Philosophical Conversation Circa Seventeen Hundred Forward.
“I join  --  therefore I am.”
“Contraire Pierre: you join and you cease to be.”
“Oh  --   I see.”
And a chap in bright breeches (hanging around under a tree) injected:
“I regret that I have nothing personally to add to these proceedings  --
other than the echo of my previous self,” and the hooded one
standing over in the shadows assured him that this was quite sufficient.
Moral: You never can tell  --  not if you are one who knows.
To aid his development, one man forces himself to appreciate
any non physical thing he finds himself wanting to criticize,
(for the few: there is no better exercise).
Maturity News.
REAL growing up is not serious:
real growing up is not what everyone thinks it is.
The complete rules of all city games are never fully grasped,
and even getting too close can cause the game to change.
An email came in with the suggestion that a “Manufacturer’s Notice”
be attached to these daily writings that says: “For Optimum Benefit
You Should Not Take Any Of This Personally  --  Unless you can!”
After: the-neural-experience-that-is-beyond-all-description,
those with minds too weak indeed try to describe it.
The transcendental reduced to rites & symbols becomes more dental than trans.
Ocular News.
If you don’t stay alert and you blink  --  you can miss it,
but if you don’t blink when needed  --  you run the risk of going nuts.
And someone asks: “What is the difference between consistent and relentless?”
    Stupidity can be consistent.
Men have two eyes so they won’t notice that they don’t have one.
The trick to unnatural understanding is to have after-thoughts:
extraordinary thoughts that immediately follow and explain routine ones.
One fellow has given his life its own name: Sing Along With Carl,
(and you might find it of interest to know that
he couldn’t carry a tune in a quarter ton pickup and his name is not Carl).
Humility from the untalented is not very impressive,
“How about stupidity from the ignorant?”
Why is no one seized of the greenness of trees, but are so, the humanity of men?
Those who understand life not  --  with it, a lotta complaints got.
One old sorehead says that if you can make somebody believe that you’re SO dumb that they actually get mad at you  --  it’s more fun than poppin’ ‘em in the mouth.
Query: Why would that work?  Why should one person be upset to the point of anger about another human’s stupidity?
Does the herd itself have a mental image of itself that it protects?
Query: Why do dense people get upset at being found out? --  what’s the point?
One rumor has it that the Ultimate Conspiracy is life making ordinary men believe
that things are more complicated than they are.
Question: What is the very best way to keep a hamster running foolishly in a wheel?
That’s right: make him think exactly what you’re thinking you should make him think.
Query: Why is it so easy to fool everyone!
How To Handle The Problem Of Life Wanting Everyone To Have
Some Sort Of City Job (In A Rhyme).
    If I don’t call them,
and don’t answer when they call me,
then me and myself can stay on
    our own private spree.
Everyone is born with a city mind,
and part of everyone's mind will stay citified,
but just because you’ve been a slut,
doesn’t mean that your whole whang’s gotta have the rash.
    In city affairs,
    the certain man
    couldn’t be less sincere.
Query: Is there an actual in-place relationship between the mind and thoughts?
Is the flavor of the jelly in the doughnuts irrevocably determined at the factory?
How do you know?
Dichotomies in the city are comfortable:
dichotomies everywhere else are trouble.
    To what low level,
    do we sink,
    when first we say:
    “Here’s what I think.”

Though the heart pumps blood, does it ever claim to be its source?
The basis of all city mathematics is that: two will go into everything  --
this is due to the fact that everything in that part of man’s mind
responsible for his second reality depends on duality for existence.
The inner Columbus will never get anywhere as long as he believes that
space consists of that way and this way;
the city is a complex place, with a seeming multitude of possible directions to take;
the man who sees however, sees but one direction:
one mind  --  one direction.

To be awake is to be a steady, singled-eyed and satisfied-to-be-quiet creature
in a noisy land of unsettled dreamers,
shifting your inner residence to that special spot in the rebel’s brain
is to have such a situation in your own head.
