THAT WHICH IS ONLY FOUND IN THE CITY
EXISTS ONLY WHEN YOU ARE IN THE CITY

Holding Reality Until You Get Here Since 806 B.C.

In an open air classroom a professor said:
“Ants do not attend food lectures expecting to dine,
yet humans, the only creatures who think,
and who by nature do not mentally comprehend what it is to be human and think,
go to hear other humans who, perforce of being ordinary humans,
also do not understand,
mouth words which indicate they do  --
and from such, the audience of ordinary humanity appears to be nourished.”
He paused and leisurely perused the faces before him  --
then in conclusion asked the class:
“What am I delivering here, a commentary on Psychology  --  or Drama perhaps?”

The world of ideas survives only by being never recognized for what it is:
is this not a suferbulous situation:
all that man understands comes from the ideas that appear in his head,
yet this potential keystone idea is absent.
(Those born with the improgrutable desire must round it up for themselves.)

How Mind Works (In A Baseball Setting).
A pitcher asked himself:
“Do I want to know my full statistical history with every batter I face:
such as his overall batting average off of me,
or would I be better off knowing only which of my pitches have
most often gotten him out?”

Those who do not grasp the nature of man’s second reality are imprisoned by it,
and while this condition is physically superior to how life would be without it,
it causes in a few men, a certain intangible chafing.

For his anniversary, one man gave himself this reminder:
“If you consistently criticize the ideas of others --
they will always seem dumber than you  --  whether they actually are or not.”
(He thanked himself  --  but waved it away, saying: “What are friends for.”)

The un overtly sung battle cry of man’s intellectual combats:
“Be we win or lose: we shall dine on the carcasses of the always fallen --
including (unrealized) --  ourselves.”

To be of ordinary mind is to want to help rescue everyone else –
apparently from a sundry of ills, but in reality; from their ordinary mindedness.
(The only rash the skin can’t see.)

One man pondered: “Can your own cells put the shuck on you?  --
and do we need a new definition of what the, ‘shuck’ is?”

Bluebeard noted:
“Having but one physical eye changes your perspective of the world outside you,
while having but one internal eye/I on whom you depend
does likewise concerning man’s intangible world.”

Nothing that men find weird in their life ever gets better  --  only worse.

To know-what-is-going-on is to be detached  --
detached from all illusions of what’s-going-on.

A man offers: “Once fed, what does man have to fill up the rest of his life but either: time spent with a sexual partner --  or his own thoughts.”

On one world everyone is required to accept as their motto: “I deserve better.”

Conversation.
“Anyone who listens to criticism of himself deserves it.”
     “Does that include from oneself?”
“Did I mention any exceptions.”

Sometimes one man would refer to a certain something he did as:
The old Albanian garter trick,
a term he said he made up and has never defined even to himself
which he uses to keep others from catching on to what he's actually doing.
(And upon hearing this, one chap's lips began to move as though a question was forthcoming  --  but then he just walked away.)

A would-be knight attached to some particular cause, culture or crusade
rides a horse that is hobbled.

Found writ on an opera hall wall:
“Those who don’t understand culture are doomed to repeat it.”  --
and under it: “And a good thing, or we’d have no culture.”

Men cannot hear how they sound promoting features of their second reality --
or it would not survive.

Just outside the castle was a man who said that he often has his best thoughts, --
just after he gets through thinking.
Off-your-pony and on your own three feet is the way of the real warrior;
no teaching or map will take the certain man where his soul (okay: mind) longs to go.

One man says he has discovered Atlantis  --  submerged in him.
(Also: Eden, Babel and the Bodhi Tree.)
