The
Code Is Broken When Your Partner Quits Spoken
__________________________________________
A
group of people contacted an actor they had seen in a television commercial,
and
said they wanted him to be their spiritual leader,
and
he replied that he had no theological training, and was not in fact, very
religious, but they said that didn’t matter --
and it didn’t.
After
agreeing to be an extra in a movie’s crowd scene, a man wondered what was
required, but upon hearing the directions given to the group to:
“meander
and mumble” his mind thought: “No problem: been doing that all my life.”
Conversation
Number Forty.
“If
you find the essence of what you are, you will discover what your problem
is,
then
you can solve
your problem.”
“Correction: if you find the essence of what you are --
you will no longer have a problem.”
The
god in charge of local affairs on one world would punish the creatures
in his charge by making them listen to the bios of others, which worked
well for a while,
but
was eventually abandoned when they began enjoying them.
In
a theatrical flourish one man declares: “I have given my life the title:
‘Scenes
You Simply Can’t Afford To Miss.’”
So
reflected one chap:
“Trichotillomania
may be a start, but it still does not get to the root of the problem.”
At
the conclusion of the city’s regular meeting, during the Citizen’s Forum
portion of the proceedings, one chap stood and announced that his biggest
inner thrill in life
was
not having any such thrills.
A
lover of irony is a lover without a lover.
(Si,
but still: smartasses always have themselves -- aka:
“For
ye have the dumb with you always” [as long as you cling to yourself,
that is.])
In
conventional life: what a farmer knows about himself is different from
what
a poet knows about his self.
(Version
two:
what
life makes a farmer think
he knows about himself is different from, etc.)
To
most who ever try: the struggle to awaken is like a super serious business
meeting concerning a matter about which they are never clear
that
seems to go on forever.
(Pst!
-- not for 100%.)
Dialogue
Number Fifty Six.
“If
man did have a problem
it would be just one, the fact that: he
doesn’t know.”
“Are you sure it would be that -- or that he is made to
act as though he doesn’t?”
Anyone
who quits a vice and then speaks ill of it was never good at it.
One
man stops listening to anyone when they start with the: “As it says in
the Bible,
the Koran, The Wealth Of Nations,
The Interpretation Of Dreams, Das Kapital,"
but
he’s fair -- he includes his own writings.
The
sole danger of seriousness is in taking it seriously;
imaginary
beasts can only harm you if you believe in them;
the
thoughts routinely appearing in your mind are of significance only if
you
take them to be yours,
and
the primary impediment to individual thinking is in taking the mind seriously.
(“Is
that why raw consciousness itself has no sense of humor?”)
No
man is worth listening to who does not know that no one is worth listening
to.
From
The Show Biz Front.
Waking
up is (to say the least) a tough act to follow.
(And
the remaining part of one man’s life started to say something --
then
seemed to think better of it.)
