A
son said to a father:
“Initially
it was often difficult for me to follow what you were saying --
now
it becomes hard for me not to know in advance --
I
expect that is a superb mark of progress,” and he replied:
“Even in men’s wildest story-telling, they cannot imagine a ship
whose starboard and port travel at different speeds.”
The
boy pondered this for a bit, then said: “That frightens me!”
“No it doesn’t.”
“How
are you always correct?”
“How can I not be; it is natural for men to believe that they are continually
INcorrect
in their inner life of which they are conscious;
this
is an integral facet of routine consciousness;
in
conventional people it helps keep consciousness active in directions of
potent
profit to mankind collectively, but the privateer with his
unconventional
individual agenda can in no fashion benefit from this situation,
he
must as quickly as possible ferret out a focused understanding of
this
innate mortal feeling of being incorrect.
Since
we are made of the same things:
why
cannot, does not chlorine feel it is incorrect? -- or corn,
or cobras?
A
man with a limp will never walk straight.”
“But what if you are born with it?”
“Everyone
is -- what’s your point? -- are you
with this family or not?

In
the city a man suddenly leapt up and yelled:
“I
would rather be dead than be ordinary minded!" –
and
his hometown replied: “Congratulations!
-- you’ve succeeded on both counts.”
It
is extremely difficult to ever get away.
“From what?”
Anything
you want
to get away from; this difficulty is the primary purpose of
there
being things in you that you want to get away from.
Cows
are constantly shuffling around trying to find a better location within
the herd, while the rebel is secretly struggling to free himself from the
species-wide
illusion that shadows, and their object-casters can be separate entities,
(this
also in part accounts for men’s creation of gods).
For
the movie of civilized existence to continue as it is now --
there
must always be for collective minds, an outside factor on whom to lay-the-blame.

A
Metaphysical City Caution May Always Be In Order.
One
man believes that through the use of caffeine and other drugs,
higher,
supernatural forces will speak to him;
many
people laugh at him,
but
many of these are the same people who laughed at Daffy
Duck .
* * *
One
man’s motto is:
“As
hard as it is now -- and as much harder as it may get later”
--
many
people are bewildered by this,
but
many of these are the same ones who are still puzzled by dirt.

Another
Example Of City Efficiency.
Bad
news announces itself, and stupidity needs no introduction.
The
Rule Of Urban Show Biz is: “Always
on!”
(For
your added info: in that setting: the performer can stay the same
while
the audiences change -- or the other way around --
only
in the certain man’s mental theatre is this arrangement different.)
Another
Poignant Reminder Of How: Time Rolls On.
One
chap who was a sixteenth century metaphysical poet -- ain’t
no more.
We
interrupt to bring you this Special
Announcement:
Everyone
has two minds: the mind, and the talking mind --
okay:
everyone seems
to have -- everyone feels
they have,
now
back to the program: “Killer Roller Derby:
From Nowhere And Back Again”
-- brought to you by The Wooden
Intellectual Horsey Charitable Foundation,
(and
one fellow says: “Just about the time I’ve once again gotten over
believing
in grand conspiracies -- Bam!”
[No one has yet to discover a universe
in
which even the gods won’t take a piss in a cemetery if it's dark enough
--
put
that in your conspiracy bun and lay on the relish.])
And
one man says he has come up with a totally new and original approach to
things: “The stupid are whoever I SAY is stupid!" (guess he’s never heard
of religions,
political
parties, and other cultural movements. And in cooking news):
The
Matter Of Fame --
Fricasseed.
If
you’re not pissed about something -- it is difficult to draw
attention to yourself.
One
man was completely enthralled by other people's music -- so
much so in fact
that
when he found a song he particularly liked, he’d give it a new composer
listing.
Hormones
know there are a finite number of melodies,
but
neurons haven’t gotten that news concerning lyrics.
And
there was this one locale that would purposefully let it --
get late
just
so it could tell everyone to -- go
home.
Hormones
always know the time -- neurons have to make it up.
And
in travel related news: one father (as a friendly gesture)
advised his departing son: “Keep
your tongue out of the road.”
And
one man mused: “If we lived in a better reality,
when
cities pass a new ordinance they would note that it has only local application,
and
no universal significance."
“Oh
yeah boy, also: keep your ears off of the road.”
Men’s
more expansive mental potential does not get ground down by
the
ever plowing ship, but by their mind’s natural born perception that
its
port and starboard sail at different speeds --
that
the unicycle of consciousness has two wheels.
“Yeah
Pop; compared to unencumbered awareness,
that
is a definition OF mind: five legs on a frog,”
“Or two in a man’s head.”
Some
Mathematical Certainties And Irritants.
Ordinary
thinking can only make life, add-up
by the exclusive use of story-telling -- conventionally wired
& programmed consciousness can only look at physical matters scientifically
and factually -- everything else it can only “examine” via
story-telling:
story-telling
about story-telling -- what better grade of asphalt can there
be.
“Okay boy: full scope: keep your whole head outta the main highway.”
