 AFTER THE "ACCIDENT"
THE WITNESSES COULD ONLY PRETEND THEY HAD SEEN WHAT HAPPENED

A man says: “Well, one nice thing about finding out you have a serious illness
is the pleasure you get from then telling others about it,
and getting all that sympathy and attention,” and someone mused:
“Too bad that doesn’t work with telling others about your stupidity.”

Every time you imagine yourself saying something to someone about yourself,
you have killed off another ten per cent of the little angels dancing on your pinhead.

The Neural & Hormonal Merry Go Round.
In a fit of spiraling exasperation the king passed sentence on the upstart:
“I condemn you to  --  eternal torpidity!” --  but after a heart wrenching display
of despair, and a plea of: “Anything but that!” His Grace relented, and changed it to: “Eternal death,” which clearly was a great relief to the condemned.

Hormones come and go  --  they’re supposed to;
only unsophisticated neurons want to stick around long after their usefulness is spent.
Those who won’t leave the party are the ones who spoil  the party.

Health Update.
You're never really well 'til you're completely well.

One man says that trying to awaken makes him think of a special type of hunting wherein you have: trappers out  -- looking for themselves.
(And clearly unrelated to this, a voice from a dark room muttered:
“Hormones catch beavers  --  neurons take their photograph.”)
While every man’s motto is: “You gotta eat!”  --
only the certain man has mental taste with any nutritional significance.
For the rebel’s banquet: the brain’s routine, hormonal fed thoughts overstay their visit whenever they appear (if, that is, you don’t personally keep a keen eye/I on them).

No matter how seriously you take such activity,
asking circumstances: “Why did you do that to me?” is nit picking rain for being wet.
Only the bull’s eye takes the arrows personally  --  why?  --
because it is the only part of the target which can speak,
and it is the one who proclaimed itself the center of things.
Shut up!  --  and you can’t be hit, because: “Shut up!” and you can’t be found.

Even after he began hearing a voice in his head and left the Garden for the fun,
and better living conditions of the city, Adam’s hormones  stayed quiet,
letting the upstart neural urbanites do the talking for them both.
(Animals by twos weren’t the only thing Noah kept protected.)

One day some thoughts mused: “Why do we think the things we do?” --
a question that fully civilized minds never ponder (doing so can prove most UN civil).
One man’s entire life centered around a certain private investigation
which he could sum up in six words: “Who put you up to it?”

Any man with half a pint of smarts prefers to have the chicken over the eggs --
to own rather than rent.

As regards that certain matter-extraordinaire,
there are two ways of telling those interested, what-to-do:
one is to  --  tell them,
the other is  --  make them guess.      (Guess which is best.)

News From The Carnival.
One man’s mind will give you a ride for a quarter.

As regards understanding man’s verbally-dependent spiritual/cultural reality,
there are two superimposing facts to remember:
one: anything proves everything  --
two: everything proves anything.
In that singular land of the naught-but-made-up:
there is light so that things there can be seen,
and because the mind has put things there to be seen  --  there is light,
and it is a winning combination.............(for most minds).

One extremely rare day, the city said to those camped therein:
“I can speak to you with enthusiasm  --  or with accuracy –
but not with both:  for that, you must look elsewhere.”
(Can you picture that?!  --  candor from the king of cant!)

Looking back, a man who has moved to a better place,
now realizes that for years when he passed this certain house,
the door was always ajar, and he never took advantage of it.
(More irony for those still with nothing more useful to do mentally):
it is cows, creatures with no worthwhile possessions to protect,
who are heard to exhort: “Strike while the iron is hot!”  --
the rebel stray soon understands that the iron is always hot,
and that it is man’s bovinian mental perception of, circumstances
which has given rise to that disorienting concept of, “while” (aka):
“Anyone can see what is really going on when conditions are right,” --
further verbal flim flam wherein men’s thoughts are able to blind themselves
to the fact that: “conditions,” and: “what is going on” are one and the same.
This comprehension is not conducive to herd-wide peace, and collective behavior;
only the few nervous system strays can be permitted such a
potentially disrupting view of it all.

When the ruler of one domain publicly declared:
“The truly ignorant are easily spotted”  --  most of the population broke out in tears.

Announcement: Do not, for the people of the city mourn, for they reside in a special place wherein, even though you be drowning  --  as long as you keep talking,
you never actually die from it.

Union News.
Hormones are capital  --  neurons, labor.

The History Of Many A Man, Encapsulated In The Story Of One Obscure Warrior.
A certain mystical knight eventually abandoned his quest when he came to a realization: “Well – shit!   You slay one dragon, and –   Bam! – there’s another one;
you kill it, and Wham bam!  --  another one takes its place”  --
in uncontrollable frustration, he dropped his lance, dismounted, removed his armor, and went back to being Common John Citizen of the city.

As always for the few: more there be to this story than verbally told:
to a truly determined knight, the never ending succession of dragons
is not the problem (nay and forsooth)  --
rather his giving up of discovering where they come from.

Self reference is the ultimate safe-harbor for the mentally, short-of-breath.
Those with but their natural born sails will never find the needed wind
to blow thereon.

Re The Distance: sometimes it's only a short step.

A father asked a son: “Which would you rather be:
stupid  --  but seen by others to be correct  --  or:
unknown, but knowledgeable?”  --  and the boy shook his finger: “No, no,” and replied: “You’re trying to get me to run into another one of those unexpected,
and embarrassing, one-and-a-halfway-mirrors again  --  oh no!”

Early on, one aspirant warrior adopted as his private principle:
“If some particular info is verifiable  --  forget it!”

The first thing doctors, lawyers, and physicists learn to say is: “Anything is possible”  (was anyone left out?)
