In the city, commonly can priests be heard to make such statements as:
“To help us grow and bloom, God often prunes our life (such as):
the pruning of a loved one" --
the idea of God (an independently identifiable something apart from man,
and what man calls his life) works okay as long as you think of yourself as
the center of everything, and are thus able to discount the death of a loved one,
and how they might feel about it, as a needed pruning in your life,
but only does everything really fit when you see that the life of life itself is
the ultimate of man’s comprehension, and that everyone is an inseparable,
seamless part of its whole fabric.

If knowing who you are is making you uncomfortable  --  you don’t yet know.

In a campaign to simplify and forthrightify his inner life,
one man removed from his vocabulary the word, “surreptitious”
(in case of emergencies he did however keep on file the phone number of 911).

A father advised a son: “In the city, when you are going to speak to someone,
preface your remarks with: 'Your Honor (if I may call you, Your Honor)…'
and watch their face light up like cheap neon.”

The man laid down the book, and for a moment, laid aside his natural view, and mused:
“How did man ever get entangled in believing that depriving himself physically
will produce mental rewards?”
An Historical Correction.
When the simplistic (of old and present) speak the term: “Purity of heart”
what they in truth refer to is: A non-partisan mind.
An Hysterical Sidebar.
Not uncommonly do present day aspirants believe unquestionably
that it was easier in times gone by to achieve the awakening.
An Hyperventilating Inquiry.
Why does this seem so?

Re: Knowing In The City.
Everybody there has the  --  final-word.
In the dragon’s lair, is no escaping the dragon.
“Well that’s quite apparent!”
      You are way-y-y  too certain.

One man said: “Don’t talk so fast,”  and replied:
“Don’t listen so slow,” and just as he was about to say something further,
interrupted himself with the warning:
“At your own sweet peril would you replace in what you just said,
the word, ‘talk’ with, ‘think!’”
From our: Wasted Efforts Desk.
Trying to make an ordinary man feel stupid is like trying to make shit stink --
(and someone asks):
“Is that why: Thoughts of a feather stick to one another  --
and you can’t pry ‘em apart for anything?!”

Hormones are as thick as blood  --  neurons as thick as thieves.

Television History Note.
The first game show occurred in The Garden with Adam
(the first man with consciousness) as the first contestant, playing:
Who Do You Trust?  --   the conclusion of which still has not been reached,
(and someone asks):
“Does it have anything to do with the apparent limitlessness OF consciousness?” –  (give that man a toaster).

One man speculates:
“Since friction (the contact of one thing against another)
helps hold the world together, might it be a beneficial arrangement to put
ten quart ideas into nine quart spaces I find available in my mind?”

If you would like a cutting-edge distinction between a more conscious mind,
and an ordinary one, it is that the latter is always --  slightly-puckered.

How City Adults Are Kept From Seeing What Is Going On.
If you put a child’s gift right out in view, yet tell him that it is not a present  --
he will never suspect a thing.

Advanced Exposition Of The Above.
No such effort is required if you simply never lock a child’s mind into the concept OF: “present”  –
for the unconventional, militaristic family army it is a always a matter of:
Missing in action!  -- (as they would say):
“All that I ever sought was ultimately gained through: ‘Missing-in-action.’”

A gift is a terrible thing to waste,
a secret is a terrible thing to waste,
a gift is a terrible thing to overlook,
merely by it being made an apparent secret,
thus the father’s ongoing advice: “Look to the obvious my boy –
ALWAYS to the obvious!
The obvious is the hidden explanation of all secrets.”

City Culture.
When artists don’t know what to do  --  they’ll do something crude,
and critics will attack them for their mindless savagery --
until next season rolls ‘round when they will then treat it as
the bench mark of insightful sophistication,
which will survive until the next year when they will dismiss it as: "Over done.”

Warriors conceived of locomotion machinery for weapons (such as tracked tanks)
from observing the above.

Notation Concerning How To Be More Intellectually Alert.
Remember: fleas follow elephants  --  not the other way around.
(And one man’s mind said to him: “I don’t get it  --  and ESPECIALLY --
neither should you!”)

In city park a speaker so declaimed to his audience:
“What could be sadder in the mental life of man than:
'A-question-once-and-for-all answered ?!’”  --  and a kid in the crowd yelled back:
“How about: The kind of question that shouldn’t have been asked to begin with?!” --  and the speaker brightly replied:
“Give me an example?” --  (you hope he meant other than that one.)

The Royal Dynasties ruling all cities long ago concluded that
a dictatorial policy is the only policy worth considering.

The few truly seeking a change in their consciousness have but two real friends:
                                                    luck, and: one-who-knows,
                                                   (and both indispensable).

Fact: hormones are to luck as one-who-knows is to your neurons.
