THE PAY-OFF'S ALREADY ON THE TABLE -
ALL'S LACKING IS THE CORRECT WAGER

A father said to an offspring:
“Son, a treasurable trick in the struggle to break through the haze,
and get to the bottom of things is to: look at things just off center:
rather than focusing on the spot in an intangible matter at which
your mind wants to stare  --  force your attention to look just a bit away from its heart;  just to the side of what seems to be the core of its attraction:
this is like a lateral version of looking at a matter through a telescope when your
mind is automatically drawn to view it through a microscope (and vice versa);
the more advanced version of them both is: the constant scanning technique,
whereby you keep both your physical and mental eyes/I’s always in motion  --
never staring at, or leaving your focus fixed on any incorporeal matter,
but rather surveying its entirety in an endless sweep of willfully controlled attention.
On this pond: only sitting ducks can be shot  --
that which stays in motion will never fall asleep and drift into dreams,
and this world’s supreme soporific is: staring: allowing your dog of mental attention
(when he is not on survival guard-duty, and just lounging about)
to chase after whatever passing car appeals to him,
keeping his eyes/I’s glassily affixed to the center of its back bumper.

Look away, little one:
always examine any non physical matter from a view --  just-off-center:
this is how you begin to see for yourself what is really going on with life,
instead of what humanity collectively takes in via their staring.

Look away!  --  always  --   look just a little away.                              (Now  --  go play.)”

In a desire to stay up to date, one man announced throughout his house
that nothing would be allowed therein that cannot be remotely controlled,
and his mind immediately mused: “Well  --   I’m safe!”

The state of your health is a sign of what you are --
not of what you think  --
not of what you wish  --
not of what you fear,
but a sign of what you are.
Genes do not lie, but cause others to do so (specifically): certain brain cells  --
not those with full time survival-essential responsibilities, but those in the cortex,
when they are in the unique position of having free time.

Water molecules can heave, ho, and clamor all they like,
but no matter what they say,
part of the sea, they will stay.

Ahoy!  The state of what you are is a sign of nothing more than what you are.

The talent of some realities is that they can speak to you,
yet make you think the voice is yours.
(How can you not relish conditions that can put so much jocular pertinence
in such a small matter.
“I say sir: how you can refer to that particular situation as a: small-matter  --
you surely owe to a few of us, an apology.
Yours Sincerely, Seriously [And Otherwise When I’m Lucky],
The Honorable Horatio P. Blah blah blah.”)

Conversation 17-C.
“The trouble with the mind’s memory is that it is selective.”
“Okay --  but so is its thinking in toto.”
“Hummm…..so how about in The Lone Ranger?”
       “No, you’re thinking about, Tonto.”
“Well I’ll not continue talking with you if you are going to be so selective in what you want a particular word to mean.”
For the few, the trouble with words is that they mean nothing –
not concerning the one certain matter of interest to them.
When a matter has no materiality --  nothing you can say about it matters.
The only reason Elysium, Atlantis, Heaven & Hell
have any significance to normal minds is that they do not exist:
as irrational as this sounds to standard ears,
on the far wall of the statement is writ the liberating info you seek.

Myths and allegories are mankind’s subdued attempt to struggle against
staring and fixed thought.
Myths can not only be seen as shackles, but also as a straining against shackles.
Just as words cause sleep, and can also awaken –
so too is the preceding true;
the man who knows not only can have it both ways  --
his mind can have anything anyway he wants it.
“But is not that the nature of all men’s minds?!”
Si, but only the man who knows, understands it.

Specifically Regarding The Possibility Of Personally Accomplishing Something
Privately Extraordinary In Your Life.
Even if man cannot actually BE original in his thinking  --  still  --  somehow  --

you must be.

For his birthday, one lad requested:
“Give me some good advice, or else lie to me better.”

One man says that thinking about thoughts
often reminds him of the quirky quality of Public Lands:
                                                                         no one owns them,
                                                                         but they’re there,
                                                                         and everyone uses them.

One man has adopted this position:
“Why insult your own intelligence when you can just stay silent.”
(P.S. his mind insists it doesn’t understand what he is talking about.)

One neat feature of referring to this kind of activity in metaphorical terms,
(such as: “The Secret Spiritual Journey” – “The Great Mystical Struggle”) is that

it doesn’t help.

One reality decided to give the creatures in its charge a choice  -  but it didn’t work  --
as soon as they heard about it they wanted to know if they had to take it.

The would be rebel should be able to live on a thin line dividing hormones & neurons;
a place between his mind & human nature,
wherein now is split from the future, and here is not quite there.

Distinctions.
When they awaken to consciousness in bed every morning,
the first thing the ordinary feel is  --  ordinary;
with the rebel, the first thing he feels is  --  on guard for the ordinary.
(In the advanced theatres of his combat, in circumstances when the ordinary
are feeling, on-guard  -- he is relaxed and unconcerned.

After the trick, someone asked the magician: “How do you DO that?!?” --
“If I knew, it wouldn’t be magic.”)

If you are truly interested in a certain extraordinary human possibility,
the problem with all organizations ostensibly devoted to its achievement
is that no one who understands the full story thereof is ever at their core.

The Irrationality Of This Peculiar Instructional Situation.
Only they teach settled  methods who have never been able to make them work.

Cartographic News.
One man says he has independently discovered that knowingly,
has the entire east coast of his mind been misnamed.
