WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS  --
THE REBEL'S MIND CREEPS

Just as doctors are less condemned than lawyers,
(due to them burying their mistakes while attorneys’ are still around to complain),
so too is the situation between a man who now knows,
and his indigenously unknowing, but still viable thoughts.
Normal men’s idea of zombies came from the certain man’s realization that
human nature can never be killed no matter how distasteful men may say they find it, nor how strenuously they may deny it.
As long as you are alive to witness them  --  the affronts go on;
both yours, and those of others.
Undiagnosed is that: when you believe yourself sick  --
everyone else seems so also.
In that all are dying, no one is in real physical health,
but inasmuch as all are meant to die mentally before death,
the certain man takes advantage of the lapse time ‘tween when his mind should  have, and when his body eventually does.
The boat has not left the dock until your thoughts passively trail after
the ongoing announcement: “The boat has now left the dock.”
Not only can no one actually help a would-be rebel achieve his goal,
but neither can anything hinder him, but himself (that is): his human nature.
(And if there is one thing that a man who knows is not, it is [well, you know.])

Following precedent is good for holding civilization stable,
but TOO good at holding the certain man’s mind there.

What you read regarding man’s intangible world is what you believe you have read, since you really read your reading thereof;
thus are men the author of the knowledge they have of this realm,
and ergo you (be ye one of the few) must be the author of any info that will
actually do you any benefit (that is):
unmask the true nature of that world, and everything ever written about it.

To employ a musician’s term: the certain man’s thoughts are:
too-hip-for-the-room of mankind’s collective mind.
(Which works out okay.........since he has no interest in playing such places.)

Why, when men tell the tale of their life are they so commonly lauded for being “brutally honest” (i.e.  admitting to their self-diagnosed short comings, and missteps), but never for being brutally correct.
Ordinary minds more enjoy hearing a fellow man confess to murder
than him offering explanatory comments regarding the essence of such acts.
(Also known in a Psychological context as:
“I prefer to read the grotesque Case Histories of man
rather than to understand the nature OF man.”

If you remember precisely how much time has passed
since some tragic event happened in your life  --
it is still happening.

When men talk, you hear not an expression of their mind, but of human nature.

After they had both read today’s News, a father said to a son:
“You know, beyond all the various attempts to describe the unique situation of man, along with his singular sense of stress,
(not due to simply being physically alive like many other creatures, but stress arising from him also having another life  --  a separate inner one that exists only in his mind)
in such picturesque terms as: “A struggle between his spirit and his flesh,” or: “Between his ignorance and his aspiration for wisdom,” a more encompassing description of the source of all man’s non survival based stress would be:
human nature;
and of practical value for the few people like us would be to say that this is also
the full reality of the stress amidst which we seem to struggle in our extraordinary effort to get to the bottom of things and understand what is going on with life  --  nothing other than: human nature.

The term is so hackneyed that I ne’er thought to employ it before, but now after being confronted with it and sampling it in the more stimulatory sections of my mind,
I appreciate the striking flavor of its unbeatable directness.
Every single aspect of every effort we make and think about making is in truth,
a reflection of our opposition to human nature (though for some reason it tastes better on my mental tongue to say: ‘human nature’s opposition to the likes of us.’)
Yes my boy, the more I bounce it about in my head,
the greater is my approval of this verbal-based view:
that what all men unwittingly do is be the manifestation of a struggle
which has no relevance to them individually,
between what appears in their minds, and human nature,
and that what the few are doing is just a knowing version of this,
but the potential pay off, being for them, of supreme significance.
Sort of like: everyone is being rained on internally, and by nature,
ordinary men bitch thereabout, and talk endlessly of plans to stop same,
but with no understanding of mortal meteorology,
while the few of our genetic lineage silently pursue a study of the
inner atmospheric conditions affecting man’s consciousness, and strive for a nervous system state wherein the little hands of raindrops can reach out and
catch themselves.

Tyke o’mine: the only thing that will ever satisfy our sort is for
our personal version of human-nature to make up with itself.”
“What Great Grandpa Adam used to call:
       ‘waking-up and, getting-back-to-the-garden-in-one-piece’ --  right?!”
"Banzai! --  and bazooka time, tender tot!”
