Those
who say there is not enough humor in the world obviously are not listening
to
all
of the planet’s humans telling all their fellow humans how they should
feel,
what
they should think and the kind of person they should be;
if
you don’t get that --
you have no real sense of the absurd anyway.
A
Practice More Widespread Than Generally Perceived:
all
who converse and deliberately appear to take the comments of their
conversational
partner seriously -- engage in logrolling.
Only
the one legged need someone to help them stand,
“Say
Pop, you figure he is really talking about the mind, and not man’s
lower limbs.”
The
men with the stomach and with the funny heads say:
“You
are what you eat” –
the
men with just the funny heads say:
“You
are what you think” --
the
men with suffering stomachs and heads say:
“You
are what happens to you” and the man who knows what is going on
eats
his thoughts before they can happen to him,
(and
if you don’t like that one, try this: he says:
“You
end up believing that you
are what you say men are” [better? -- and by the way: did you know
that a realized man will not use the word, better
except
to be socially greased]).
A
father said to a son: “You can ignore any writing that begins with the
word, ‘my,’
or
that has, ‘apocalypse’ in the title.”
“Why are you telling me this -- you know I generally stopped
reading anything
some time ago.”
“Yeahhhhh
-- but just in case.”
The
Let’s Face It Man recently stated publicly:
“Let’s face it folks:
everything
exceptional and unique to man that any man does
will
always appear to many other people to be -- just a hobby,”
and
after a momentary pause, added: “In fact, let’s get down to the REAL facing:
all
of the interests special TO man -- are just hobbies.”
(By
the by: he has made himself available for private parties,
but
with few takers thus far.)
Those
who proclaim the need and benefit of role models have lost most of their
backyard to a sinkhole, and are not aware of it, (or, if you prefer):
those
who need a role model need a whole lot more than a role model --
and
in a related matter: another man gives his formula for weight loss:
eat
anything you want during daylight hours, then come night --
shoot yourself,
[and
those of you paying super close attention should instantly realize
the
applicability of this approach in another area of life.])
After
reading what everyone from philosophers to priests to politicians,
and
psychologists had to say about what constitutes, happiness,
and with their combined assurance that it is the most important thing in
human life, one man mused: “Happiness is nothing more than how you feel
at any moment, and if that be the case,
it
means that the most important thing in a man’s life is totally beyond his
control -- (‘course as always, the saving grace of all
curious mortal situations
is
that men take no notice of them.”)
And
one rash tongued rascal submits:
“Anecdotal
proof is adequate
proof -- IF you’re a dotal!”
If
he does happen to converse, a man-who-knows
has no interest in
hearing
someone tell him what they have read or heard someone else say,
nor
in his own thinking is he interested in what he has read or heard
someone else say:
When
he heard a veteran say that the best thing about being a soldier in war
is that you get to shoot at people, and treat strangers’ personal property
with complete indifference, one man mused: “Damn! -- my thoughts
are soldiers.”
Your
Adult Fairy Tale For The Day
Local
conditions in this one realm one day announced to all the inhabitants:
“All
right: everyone who wants to be comfortable and safe, and be able to stay
amongst your friends & family as you await at the station for your
dreamed-of train -- raise your hands” -- and after
that was concluded, conditions said:
“Okay:
those remaining, who are still looking for a space ship, well...........well,
you
people stand over there until I can figure out what to do with you” --
which
they gladly did -- since that is what they had been didding
all along anyway.
FYI:
the actual difference between children and adults is
the
difference between the local and the universal:
twixt the rigid and the loose;
the real and imagined;
the doo doo and the diaper.
Conversation,
Code Orange
“A
man with fans may be doing something wrong.”
“For real?”
“Maybe.”
Now, Another Selection From: "The Young Person’s Garden”
Now get out there and spread that manure -- and call in The Crow Patrol.
To
the man who knows: anything that is not a symbol -- IS
the supreme symbolism,
(to
wit): that which runs so deep as to morph into the reality it was initially
conceived of to represent.
(Note:
man’s ordinary mind, when it thinks metaphorically -- gets
stuck there,
“But
Pa Pa -- is that not part OF mind’s inherent nature?”)
One son got verbally bit so often that he almost stopped ever mentioning to his father when he had a “headache” -- for dread of what the elder was inclined to reply.
A
man with a terminal illness said to himself: “Well, one nice
thing that’s come from me knowing that I’m dying is that I’ve been able
to stop going to the gym
without
feeling guilty about it -- (you know like: what’s the
point?!)” --
and
his partner chimed in: “Shit, you’ve been doing the same thing
up
here in your head all of your life by letting meaningless thoughts take
permanent
residence in your mind which effectively relieves you of any possibility
of doing anything better with your capacity to think.”
Said
a son to a father: “Okay Pop, my question for the day is:
why
is it that as long as you’re laughing,
you
won’t be in that normal, rigor mortis state of consciousness? .......no
wait --
One
morning, one chap suddenly thought/felt and said to himself:
“Man!
it’s great to be alive -- when you’re glad to BE alive!” --
and
the more perceptive slice of his brain injected:
“So
what should those moments of your personally
perceived reality
teach
you about the other times?”
Said
a father to a son: “If all of the things I talk to you about,
you
would pursue to their end and eventually see for yourself
in
your own individual way,
the
pay off will not simply be an intellectual experience in the brain, but
will be
a
quite specially felt
experience extending throughout
your nervous system.
Awakening
the mind to what is really going on in life beyond the normal range of
its automatic registering is like removing a tarp from a lighthouse,
but
when the shift in consciousness is more expansive,
it
is like an off shore ship acquiring the ability to continually locate its
position, independent of proffered outside coordinates;
thus:
not just the humor
of life-directions offered by others --
but
the lack of even imagining that you need such.
Even
if men may not actually be going-anywhere
--
at
least the awakened man is silently aware of it.
Now
hoist anchor my boy, and sail away,
in
the universe’s only, around-the-inner-world,
solo voyage.”
J
One man has two
favorite things he says to himself: “Don’t be a stranger,” and: “BE
a stranger,”
and another guy gave his partner the nickname: “You
know like: what’s the point?!”
.....”Hummm,
a solo
voyage you say?!.....”
