 METAPHORS & REALITY MEET
IN HEAD-ON COLLISION ON NEURAL HIGHWAY JUST OUTSIDE THE CITY

The difference between being a human and a lion is that humans believe they can change what they are  --  not their physique  --  but their psyche;
they understand without question that they cannot alter the reality of their physical self (a human cannot become a lion), but by birth they perceive no such restriction concerning modification of their psyche --  the intangible self with IN their body.
From one respective perspective, this alone accounts for man’s
physical supremacy over the other creatures of this planet,
for although man cannot change what he is physically,
his psyche can imagine how changing the physical environment in a particular manner would benefit his physical existence (turning iron into rifles and bullets to protect him from lions, and more easily bring down game for nourishment).
The inner self’s ability to abstractly picture such changes,
and then to see their material reality accomplished
seems to have bled over into (let us expediently say,
for the sake of our special interest) an unexpected area.

Man’s psyche, seeing the changes it can effect in the material world
via its ability to mentally picture such
and then give practical directions to the physique on how to accomplish same,
by all observations and experience likewise believes (there is no other word for it)
that it can plan and execute alterations to itself;
all normal humans reflexively profess this to be so --
anyone who denies it is deemed deranged, and quite possibly dangerous.

By virtue of being born a human, ordinary men believe, with no hesitation,
that all people have the capacity to effect changes to their own psyche;
they freely admit that some men’s psyches, for a variety of reasons,
have special problems, and may require assistance, such as from a priest,
psychiatrist, or other outside source of counseling,
but the species wide fact is unassailable:
if you are born within the genetic norm, your nervous system, at its neural end, instinctively believes that it  --  man’s psyche  --  can be changed from
what it presently seems to be,
and be changed by its own efforts (there being nothing else known with such ability).

Through his psyche’s mental picturing of how it can be accomplished,
man’s physique can turn a rock solid mountain into a tunnel for the automated vehicles which his mind has also wrought,
and due to his genetic programming, his psyche also believes that by its ability to picture how it could be other than it is now,
alterations to itself are likewise just as achievable,
and it is a tricky, fascinating situation:
his psyche pictures a tunnel through a mountain;
mentally plots how it can be brought about;
his physique follows the plans, and the final result can be seen by all,
but when the psyche pictures and plots a change to itself,
no matter what follows after that  --  there is nothing that anyone can see;
it can say it has been changed, or confess to current failure –
but it matters nil  -- for no one can observe whether the claim is valid or not,
and triply intriguing it is that a man’s psyche will say that at least
IT can tell change has occurred, although it cannot make such a determination
any more than can an outsider  --  PLUS:
it has not the natural ability to realize this.
If a normal man says that he  --  his inner self  --  has changed
there is nothing profitable to be said after that;
no one else’s psyche can convince him that this is not so,
and if indeed it is not true, even his own psyche cannot both say it has changed,
AND recognize that it has not.
From the psyche’s perspective: if it is not the traditional: win/win situation,
it is one of: win/unable-to-lose.

So beyond doubt, man’s psyche can mentally picture alterations to the physical environment which would never occur without his intervention;
can formulate how such can be accomplished,
then through directions from men’s brains to their muscles, have the changes made,
and although the psyche, without any investigation, by nature believes
the same thing is possible concerning alterations to itself,
which will only happen through its own mediation, and though no ordinary man’s psyche can be made to see the situation as being otherwise  --
to the extraordinary man who can somehow see with neural eyes not native to
his indigenous psyche  --  otherwise it is,
and from such a man’s unique vantage point,
all that psychically bothers him can be traced to a failure, this otherwise to discern.

It accomplishes nothing, nor serves any useful purpose to say in the public marketplace of ordinary minds that a man’s psyche can in no way ever be changed;
even if this is true, no one’s mind can grasp or accept it  –
man’s psyche is clearly not intended to operate on such an idea;
it (as always) is strictly a matter of a solitary man here and there being born with nervous system wiring & programming that allows for a certain discretion  --
a kind of looseness whereby it is uncommonly able to step outside of itself,
and objectively see its essence and operation;
then the man enjoys a singular freedom  --
freedom to actually change his psyche is not the issue here  --
it is freedom from man’s normal illusion-come-confusion regarding the belief that
he can.

The freedom that comes with knowing what’s going on is one that is entirely unknown in the routine life of man,
in fact the word, freedom is nothing but an extremely rough, verbal approximation of the reality;
such a man is still captive of the many physical shackles that bind everyone,
but his psyche is freed from the specious, but unrecognized dreams that constructively constitute the totality of a normal man’s consciousness and non essential thinking;
it is not supernatural liberation, but rather freedom from the disorienting smoke arising from the mind’s creation and concepts OF a supernatural.

With the full realization of what is going on,
a man’s psyche has no feeling about itself that is not factual
(real fact is): it no longer HAS any particular feeling about itself;
to such a man, his psyche is simply what it is  --
same as with a tree, a mountain, a lion.

What better can be said than that after which there is nothing left to be said  --
that is the condition natural to knowing-what-is-going-on.
