If
your hormones are stronger than your neurons -- you will
become a parent;
if
your neurons are stronger than your hormones -- you will become
an intellectual
(childless
perhaps):
if
you have a weird mix of the two, the likes of which is unknown to the ordinary
--
you
will be the kind of person who will try to get to the bottom of things
(such
as hormones, neurons & all the other stuff).
You
are quite blind and mentally unkempt if you do not realize the presence
of
distinct,
omnipresent, planetary conspiracies: that of the rich to increase their
wealth; that of the powerful to remain in control, and that of the ordinary
minded (the stupid)
to
stay that way and see that everyone else does also (which is to say):
encourage
others to believe that being ordinary minded is the best you can do.
For
those asleep and unenlightened: you
are getting somewhere
when
you realize that you cannot honestly describe, even to yourself,
what
it is you specifically dislike about being asleep and unenlightened.
A
man’s brain mused: “I am not really a
nice person --
I
just play one in everyday life,”
and
from another reality the genetics of his great grandfather said:
“Isn’t
that all that matters.”
One
man’s brain mused: “I am not really an old man --
I
just appear to be in ordinary life,”
and
from another reality the genetics of his great grandfather said:
“And
don’t ever forget it, or you will actually become
one.”
One
man mused:
“I
have to hand it to actors who play the roles of other actual, living people,
Looking
over his mail a man mused: “Most of the correspondence I receive
is
meaningless.......but so is that which I don’t.......so it all balances
out......I guess.”
Everyone’s in on the con except the man trying to awaken.
One
man sets aside one day a week in which he does not try to accomplish anything,
and
reserves the right to reverse the arrangement when conditions indicate.
One
doctor mused: “The most interesting thing about cancer is that
there
is nothing you can say for absolute certain about it.......hummm,
Another
example of unrecognized reality being right in front of men,
and
likely laughing at them in their faces,
is
their forming of organizations to "scientifically disprove” such matters
as: spiritualism, mind reading, God.
One
man developed his own personal maxim:
“Don’t
ever have a friend or lover around who you have to talk to,”
(an
idea that made his mind quite uneasy).
If
the best you have with which to condemn someone
is
the accusation that they are hypocritical -- you have nothing
--
you
are simply stating the obvious: that the person is a human being with consciousness,
and thus active in the two separate areas of behavior AND speech,
a
situation which naturally gives rise to continual scenes in which
the
actor is perceived as disingenuous by equally unwitting critics.
To catch the dumb at being dumb requires that you be dumb.
An
instinct, and the verbal manifestations of the instinct are two
entirely
different
matters (e.g. territorial defensiveness & patriotism: sex and romanticism);
it
is the difference between telling someone you’re going to whip their ass,
and
without comment doing so when they threaten to yours.
(The
acute man can find how this fashions into his conscious relationship with
the
thoughts appearing in his skull.)
Not
long after being diagnosed with a terminal illness a man began thinking
about several things he had long wanted to have but would never spend the
money for,
and
now mused:
“Why
not get them -- I’ll be dead soon and the money involved will
be meaningless,” -- but which was immediately followed by the question:
“But
should I spend money on stuff that I will not have time to enjoy sufficiently?”
--
a
quandary that he found most entertaining -- and shortly,
metaphorically
reflective of matters non material in his own neural system.
To
ever fully grabble what is going on in life you must be able,
like
a supernatural surgeon,
to
remove parts from life’s body for examination without rendering them lifeless.
Advice,
father to sapling: “Son, the sure way to not be stupid is: be silent.”
From
the universe’s/matter’s perspective: what could be stranger than life!
–
and
from life’s perspective:
what
could be stranger than being the thing alive AND aware thereof.
(Just think, matter doesn’t have to put up with this kinda shit!)
When
you realize what is really going on
one
of the things you realize is that you cannot tell anyone else what is.
Another
example of how words apparently understood can be otherwise:
one
man after hearing himself using for years the term, “misspent youth”
one
day suddenly realized its impertinence in that
if
you are now alive to speak the words -- your youth was NOT
misspent.
One
guy announced to his playmates:
“I
don’t mind being sick -- it’s dying I dread.......uhh......have I
got that backwards?”
(He
later also became concerned about whether:
being-slow-to-see-what-is-going-on
-- and:
being-himself
might be somehow similarly situated.)
In
a reality perceived by ordinary nervous systems as binary based,
there
is a third (or more) possibility omnipresent
though
what it might be at any given instant cannot be said --
or
it becomes one of the dual choices.
(Who
needs yet more reasons to be quiet.)
One
man says: “What you don’t know can’t hurt you,
but
it can make life wish it had stayed in bed this morning.”
(He
privately admits this is probably not true,
but
is trying to win brownie points with you-know-who.)
Men
who preach (in both religious and otherwise contexts) condemnation of men
for
their sin, and shortcomings,
distractedly
wring out their own shorts in public without ever realizing what they do.
