Mused
a certain cosmopolitan chap:
“One
excellent thing about being of ordinary consciousness is that
you
can be constantly sick-and-tired
of how things are in life
without
suffering any consequences therefrom” -- and he nailed
it --
think
on it for yourself:
in
what professional or recreational activity, other than that of being a
human,
can
you participate --
continually
complain thereabout --
and
no punitive reactions result to you personally?
Men
understand not to do it on their job, or in their sexual and social relationships
-- not if they wish them to continue --
but
in that supreme, all encompassing venture of just being alive and human
--
you
can grumble, gripe, fume, growl, carp, criticize, pout and whine all you
like
without
any danger of adverse consequences to you and your life --
(“Gads! -- but that I
had a boss and girlfriend so liberal.”)
An
open survey of this subject makes it impossible for
a
man who can actually use thought as a personal tool to deny that
relentlessly
expressing your displeasure with how life is going overall,
(or
even in some specific instance) is native to those creatures with consciousness
-- and thus the ability TO verbally express their feelings
-- man;
indeed
a chap who cannot be induced to join in a group grouch
will
be instantly suspect;
the
innate, unstated rule is that a man who will not say anything negative
about
the
person, or persons being presently trashed is not a man to be trusted;
such
lack of participation in this most normal of human activities is felt by
the ordinary to be evidence of some alien feature in the psyche of the
non deplorer;
defending
the individual or group being decried is quite respectable behavior
--
it
shows you are in the game,
it
is his complete silence on the matter that reveals a foreign facet to
a
man’s consciousness.
The
instinctive collective feel of mankind is:
“How
can you not be upset?
Are
you blind -- insane -- or inhumanly insensitive?
How
can you not be disgusted by the terrible things that go on in life?
How
can you not see that there is something horribly wrong about life!”
This
be humanity’s inherent mental perspective of life:
nothing
could be more normal, familiar or expected;
to
be alive, human and ordinary is to feel that life is not going right,
and
to express these feelings.
The
cumulative effect of man’s collective carping clearly serves some purpose
for life, and as noted, is as natural a sound to this planet as the trees
through the breeze,
but
as always (thank zoroaster)
the
situation sits not well for the certain man
privately
seeking to see up life’s secret skirt;
as
always, the rebel submitting to the same embedded desires common to all
men bars the path to the non standard goal he is after --
that of not BEING common;
(see, you can’t throw up on yourself AND at the same time be freshly dressed).
It
is in man’s genes to complain;
from
a quite solid view it is his distinguishing trait, and when directed at
the
physical environment it can result in him effecting alterations thereto
which
result in his life being made more comfortable and survivable,
but
the endless displeasure innate to his nervous system,
when
aimed at matters which exist solely by dint of that same nervous system
having
created them to form a unique inner reality housing naught but intangibles,
makes
the results perforce, intangible;
they
cannot be seen, nor meaningfully measured;
the
technology that accrues from man’s dissatisfaction with physical conditions
can
be conclusively judged:
a
change he makes therein either benefits his life and makes him feel better,
or
it does not,
while
any shift he attempts (and may say he has accomplished)
in his inner,
mental-only
realm cannot be said to, or felt to have achieved anything.
Standard
issue consciousness however is not wired to process
the
information of this reality, but rather is programmed to ignore it:
to
speak and operate as though the opposite is so –
that
changes thought says it has wrought in the world of thoughts
have
indeed been wrought, and that (for all general instances) is that;
it
matters not that the full nervous system of the person mouthing this prepared
dialogue does not experience the change the conscious brain has declared
in effect,
for
no part of the system can speak but the brain,
thus
cometh no internal vocal counter to the claim,
The
whole world complains about life,
and
normal people think and talk about what everyone else is talking about,
(complaining about):
a
man seeking to understand what is actually going on in life
cannot
follow this common course, and if upon hearing this said,
should
he not instantly recognize its veracity,
then
he is not fully blooded committed to the cause;
you
either feel in the cellular depths of your nervous system the error of
YOU being a passive medium for the complaints about life that automatically
appear in in your mind, or you do not -- and you cannot be
converted to such a position;
the
certain man’s perspective of its speciousness cannot be presented nor
proven
to an ordinary man’s mind.
To
normal humans: something IS basically wrong with life,
and
nothing seems more natural than to comment thereon –
the
ordinary people who visually appear to run and populate the world
feel
a compulsion TO express their complaints --
to
share
their
concerns with other right-minded-people:
nothing
here of which a man is capable of making an objective criticism:
this
is simply how the life of collective man is arranged and conducted.
The
life of the man with a mind dedicated to getting the
bottom of things
is
another activity entirely; is it not
-- his dream is doomed.
You
cannot see (in
the specially required, neurological sense)
while
your consciousness consists of nothing other than the complaints about
life
with
which
life fills men’s minds;
forget
specious debates over whether this or that specific complaint is justified
or not;
to
open eyes and transformed minds, they are all simply irrelevant --
meaningless,
(should a unicorn be painted red
or
green?)
Perhaps
the biggest bouncer at the door of the certain man’s exclusive club,
keeping
out the riffers and the raffers,
is
whether your nervous system has the nature of unquestionably realizing
-- feeling, down to the nucleus of your cells --
the
undeniable reality that man’s expressed belief that
something
is terribly wrong with life is not what it appears -- it does
not reflect reality;
at
its literal level it is patent foolishness -- plus (for the
few) -- it is a crippler --
which
they must sense long before they fully comprehend
the situation which to it gives rise.
Simply
put-put: it is as natural as breathing for men to feel and say that
something
is wrong with life;
it
you feel confidently that there is
something wrong with life,
you
are as natural, sane and normal as you can be, --
and
you haven’t a chance of ever realizing what is actually going on in life.
Is
that encouragement enough for one day.
J
One
man says he is convinced that many proverbs, regardless of the deep insight
into human nature they reflect,
can
be improved (to wit he offers this example): "Either fish --
or show us your tits."
