Everyone has a partner --
even those not in business  --
even those who live alone  --  have a partner;
a partner to whom you are closer than family, friend, or lover;
a partner so integral to your life that without him,
you literally would not be the person you are.
The partner is present in every man, yet ordinary men do not overtly recognize him, nor take into conscious account his influence on their life  --   indeed,
even as incessantly vocal as he be, from men’s commonly placed inner perspective
he could well be termed  --  a silent partner.

In discussions among themselves, and in their own private reflections,
men never mention, nor acknowledge the partner,
but he is present and actively involved in everything a man thinks and says, truth is: without the partner, an ordinary man would have no thoughts or words to say  --
this could be why the partner is so ignored: men do not want to share the spotlight --
they want full credit for any thoughts they utter that may garner praise.

To work at its best, man’s mind, as it thinks about a particular matter,
needs to feel that it is in control, and consciously directing the activity occurring in it, and under normal circumstances it never acknowledges the omnipresence of
the partner   --   which is easily explained  --  but will not be here;
the profit and deep glee is in coming upon the explanation
through your own ramblings.

Discovering on your own, the reality and nature of the partner
is a major holiday in the life of those seeking to get to the bottom of things,
and understand what is actually going on in life –
without so doing, nothing about you and other men will ever make sense;
the bud of your self and your consciousness will never ripen and open up
to reveal its inner workings and contents (assuming there be any of the latter;
in some realities there are no nouns --  only verbs; no objects  --  only action;
no misread distinction between inanimate and animate matter;
what star can aspire to Mensa who does not even know where he is, which is to say: does not know what he is, vis a vis thoughts in a brain somewhere observing it? --  and for the few with larger inner sight, vice-versa the picture just limned).

What goes on in man’s mind  --   his singular glory and attribute --
and the one which gives him all his troubles and confusion --  will remain not just a mystery, but one so ignored that men do not even realize that it IS a mystery;
o, men say that the mind is presently a mystery, but the routine minds which say such also think that it will be solved by additional information  --
but they simply glance at the surface of the mystery;
like aliens believing they will/can eventually understand how an internal combustion engine works by studying its observable, moving parts, but never getting down to the most essential component  --   the fuel, without which  --  no parts move;
the partner would be like gasoline in this allegory,
(or for those with sharper insight, the better comparison would be
the electrical spark required to ignite the neural fuel).

Men have forever attempted a superficial explanation for the mystery-of-their-mind, from the interference of gods and sprites, to forgotten psychological traumas,
but all such come from only superficially active minds
trying to ameliorate their feelings of condemnable behavior;
what occurs automatically in their mind that they automatically judge unacceptable, they attempt to attribute to the influence of outside forces (and by the by:
only standard issue minds living in a realm wherein a distinction between,
outside and inside is perceived to exist) –
this spurious attribution does no common man any harm,
and in fact is the way things are clearly constructed and intended to work in his life,
but the man determined to actually solve the strange-case-of-life must go much deeper into this matter than are normal humans programmed to do,
and once past the pre-literate, mental eras of spooks, spirits and interfering divinities,
the secret detective soon comes upon a previously unknown suspect  -- the partner:
every man’s best ally  --  every man’s primary, but unrecognized  --  burr.

The partner in your head is who makes you get out of bed every morning
before you are ready, to go do work that you would not do were it not for the salary;
the partner thus, under non farming, civilized circumstances,
helps keep you fed and housed via your employment, and it is also the partner who brings on the tension and ulcers that often arise therefrom
(just one exemplary situation out of many in each man’s life that could be mentioned).

The partner is responsible for all the good and enjoyable things men experience beyond those instinctive activities necessary for survival, but the partner is also
totally to blame for all the non physical irritants and ills possible for a mortal to suffer,
and the complete cure therefore is the personal recognition of the partner's natural role in all your natural-born mind's processes,
and the equally natural, subsequent cessation of active participation in its operations.

The man who discovers for himself what is really going on in life --
strikes out on his own  --  goes in business for himself;
a sole proprietorship  --   NO partner.

And a son said to a father: "Guess if you wanted to you could say that life is your partner, right paw?........right?....."

A machine, you say......
