The goal of the certain man, the aim always of this kind of activity,
is in a sense quite simple  --   to be alone  --  not a manifestation of misanthropy,  nor the desire to live alone, but to BE alone.

No human with a fully functioning brain is alone;
to be conscious, to have thoughts continually appearing in your mind
is to be not alone;
an ordinary man hearing this would find it incomprehensible  --   irrational,
for his ordinary consciousness, by which he heard it, consists of two –
any idea of consciousness being a singularity is to it, inconceivable  --  literally;
it is so far outside the range of thought standard for men’s
minds that they cannot even get a good enough grip on it to refute the idea  --
all they could do is shake their head in bewilderment,
and thus dismiss it as thorough foolishness –
comparable to consciousness trying to imagine sight without an eye,
hearing without any sounds, or speech without a tongue,
all being examples requiring the presence of two participants as it were,
though never thus analyzed by ordinary minds.

Just because a physical sound is made, it is not heard unless
there is an ear to hear it, and no sight is seen without an eye to see it,
and no thought is expressed save a tongue there to speak it,
and at the vital heart of these and all of man’s sensual life is --  consciousness --  each man’s brain’s interpretation of the experiences, for which there must be,
and is, both an interpreter, and someone to receive the interpretation.

There are two in every man’s mind -- one be absent  --  the man be non conscious;
you are not conscious unless you know you are conscious –
this is man’s standard state of consciousness, and escape from which
is the goal of people whose lives are centered around the kind of activity
reported on every day in these writings.

While the history of this activity is within a week or so of being as old as
man’s overall, it has never been described as ‘tis being so here today,
but it could hardly more radically be so  --
for though its aim be said to be:  to achieve-enlightenment,
to awaken-from-a-dream, or to gain-a-great-liberation,
the physical reality of the non standard state that occurs in some men’s brains, and motivated them to create these pictorial terms in an attempt to describe
the condition to others, is one of suddenly, and abnormally  --
--  being alone in your consciousness.

The experience is so exceptional that men’s minds are unable to describe it
in any manner that makes any sense to other men’s minds in their normal state;
all are admirable attempts, awakening-from-a-dream being singularly apt, popular, and in use for thousands of years,
yet the description  --  to-be-alone  --  actually gets closer to
the physical reality of what a man feels when his brain/mind experiences the totally anomalous state being herein alluded to.

Based on this limning, the describing of ordinary humanity as being mentally --
a herd -- is not without merit;
just as man-the-physically-social-animal prefers to live in groups,
so too do his not so tangible thoughts –
they prefer to be amongst other people’s thoughts --
to debate them, bounce off them, compare themselves with them,
and also does each brain’s individual thought want --  nay, need  --
the company of other thoughts for similar purposes.
Who is herein commonly called: the mental-rebel, independent-thinker,
or certain-man,  has an unusually programmed nervous system wherein
a non standard area of his brain has an inherent aversion to the collective thinking activity normal to humanity and to each man, and desires instead something else (which it never feels it has satisfactorily grasped up until the moment it grasps it), but it has no doubt that it does want something other than the state of mind/consciousness/thinking that the majority of men,
and the majority of its own operations accept --
and what it is is the want to be alone in their consciousness –
for there to be (as it were) but one thought  --  one mind,
no one else in-there (here point to your forehead) but them,
(here you can shrug as in not really knowing who this “them” might be)  --
but their mind knows for sure that its present, natural-born state
is not the one for them,
it is far too busy, noisy, conflicted and confusing;
what they need to counteract, overcome and escape this is to  -- be alone.

Even those born with the neural wiring & programming that makes
the activity being talked about a potential in their life
can find this description of, being-alone at first bewildering,
but if you are to-this-born, and you privately pursue the idea,
it will start to make more and more sense based on your own inner experiences;
the certain man has a brain that comes with an uncommonly active area
that wants to be-alone by being LEFT alone  --  but that is the ultimate goal.

The unique consciousness possible in a few men’s brains has no need for any other forms of consciousness, and thus wants to be left alone by all of the
normal manifestations thereof (which to it are all pretenders and pseudo forms,
[Leibnitz has no interest in receiving math tips from Ronald McDonald]),
and since all the thoughts normally appearing in a man’s brain have naught to contribute to the singular one, it first (wittingly or not) seeks to be alone  --
for there to be no other thoughts joining it,
which eventually (as even normal reason would expect)
results in it being left alone, (“I first found the magic doughnut  --
now the others have stopped pestering me arguing over whether it exists or not, and if it does, whether I should eat it or not”
[an inadequate simile, but what big news be that?!])

If you are potentially, one-of-the-ones, then ask yourself constantly:
“Do I,”  and when you say, “I” try to feel it as something real in an actual space, deep in the center of your head,
“Do I --  want to be alone?   Do I  --  want to be alone in here?”  --
what can come from this can be quite surprising  --   and useful.
