CITY LEADERS SAY THE POWER OF HABIT IS OVERRATED  --

And Putting The Hot Iron To Irony Since 1392

Ordinary men & minds mainly stay sane by trying to adhere to some rigidly framed
set of directives constituting a proposed, philosophy- by-which-to-better-live-life.

Every man has a hero,
and of a group that seems quite diverse,
yet all of humanity’s many heroes are one and the same: the mortal mind (more specifically): regardless of whose name he attaches thereto, each man’s hero is --  unrealized by him  --   his own mind  --  no more, and no less:
it is his own mental process.
(Note: Scarce few have minds that can see this head on.)

A man who lives by a philosophy-of-life lives but a partial life.

Ordinary men & minds mainly stay sane by trying to submit themselves to some
rigidly framed mind set  (c.f. to what the certain man needs to wake up).

Local reality whispered to one man:
                       “You can count on me,
                          but never count to three;
                          you know what to do,
                          always stop at two.”

Were it not for reminiscing,
men would have a much harder time pretending their lives are interesting.
   “Hey, gimmie the blues, why don’t you, with talk like that!”
It is not the words that distress,
but the illusion they attempt to create of the past having significance.
   The reason no one knows what the certain man would look like
   even should they meet him face to face
   is that no one knows what his backside looks like
(pst!  --  he has none  --
there is no, other-side to the realization.)

Local reality whispered to one man:
                       “Listen close to me,
                         there is no number three;
                         the only thing that'll get you through,
                         is total reliance on the number two.”

The reason no one knows what the certain man really thinks is that  --   he doesn’t know (see, that is the side of the realization that cannot be talked about.)
   In city ballrooms; all philosophies-of-life are two steps  --  never waltzes;
   if the inside of the certain man’s mind could be viewed,
   what would be seen would be a blinding whirlwind  --
   so still and non partisan as to be imperceptible;
   this is the state inherent in realizing what is going on;
   a motionless observer to a tornado --  or: vice versa,
   which is why it is hard to tell at any given moment whether the certain man is
   going or coming
    (directions which, by the way, do not exist on the open plains outside the city mind).

Some men were just standing around yacking when one of them said:
“Drugs make my mind work funny,” and another noted:
“Alcohol does the same for mine,”
to which a third added: “Deep day dreaming gets my mind doing weird things,”
and a fourth man silently thought to himself how
just his mind made his mind operate in curious ways.

 In a confessional moment, one man said:
“Yeah, well I’ll admit that I do have some questionable thoughts,”
to which an out of town voice in his brain responded:
“Why not be precise and say that if you have any thoughts,
many of them are going to be questionable.”

                 One man got the serious fidgets
                 when he started seeing life in triple digits.
                           Peace and sanity reign only in lands-of-twos  --
                           otherwise known as: Kingdoms Of Mirrors.

In the midst of an inexplicable, but normal city fit,
one man shockingly, and inexplicably  --   looked around at what was going on!

Health Tip: You cannot go crazy unless you are serious about it.

And in one man a suspicion grew:
that his comprehension of things would greatly improve
if he could figure out the original need for the words, “and,”  and, “but”.

Fact: Never believe anything you hear.
Fact: If you live in the city you cannot help doing so.

After hearing a parade of speakers offer commentary on what each professed to be examples of the human condition, one man mused:
“Those who claim to be presenting the news
should be required to live the news they put forth.”
(On one planet those who present the news are made to confess that they make it all up.)

Fact: If you believe anything you hear  --  you become part of it.

If, as some like to say: “Inside of every fat person is a thin person,”
then who is inside every ordinary person?

How Time Works In City Ballrooms Of Even Numbered Dimensions:
                                     On every date,
                                     one partner is late.

Corollary: counting to two takes forever.
(On a bathroom wall some wag wrote:
                                            “If you’re mentally big and burly,
                                              you’re always allowed to come early.”)
When your mind has realized what is going on with man’s inner, mental-only-world:
no particular thought comes before any other particular thought;
          in a realm free of dualities, sequentiality is also a no-show.

To be ordinary is to be prepared to be ordinary
(which clearly implies that to be otherwise requires you also be primed to be).
When the would-be rebel begins his uncharted endeavor --  intention is everything,  and when he reaches the point of realizing what it is  --  intention is still all he has.
     Note: you do not have the fully proper intention if you can describe what it is.

A Tip:
If, when you do speak, you intend the words you use to mean no more than they do
to everyone else  --   you are a cannibal  --
a man with no individual mental life or purpose.

A man who knows
always speaks in code  --
this is due to the fact that that is how the non standard thoughts in his brain
speak to him.

If ordinary minds say they understand it  --  it is meaningless;
whatever comes to your mind that you do not understand is likewise.
The totally outre, they-explain-everything-thoughts that the certain man is
somehow able to make appear in his mind,
are beyond any normally conceivable realm of being either understandable,
or not understandable;
at this level, that is beside the point  --  they are fully explanatory --
same as universal reality;
within that reality, nothing about that reality can meaningfully be said.
       In the realized mind  --   all is well,
       just as in the ocean  --   all is wet.
Living in a dream is the mind’s natural act of denying this –
waking from the dream is the comprehension of the simple fact that:
everywhere you look you see your environment –
which is in no manner separate from what you are looking with.

To be internally normal is to be sophisticatedly fragmented –
he who understands the inner world of man is one big ball.

   “Roll on!  mighty  --  whatever-you-are  --   roll on!”
