Unattended-consciousness
as the certain man’s actual challenge --
what
a perplexing concept --
is
an unruly dog to train itself,
fidgety
fingers to hold themselves still,
or
wandering eyes to focus on themselves,
and
yet that is precisely what is required to get a handle on what makes man’s
life
the
singular affair it seems to him to be.
The
thoughts life freely feeds men’s consciousness never carry information
valuable
in this respect,
their
effortless, automatic flow is unattended-consciousness,
and
no empty headed natural event ever has any knowledge of itself;
unattended-consciousness
is like a blindness,
and
the blind cannot look at themselves and see that they are so.
To
see what is really going on requires that you begin by attending your consciousness,
which (if you are one of the few born with that certain neural anomaly)
will
cause an immediate and obvious disruption to the normal flow of
your
brain’s conscious operations;
this
results (for the moment) in your unattended-consciousness
being knocked from
its
usual position of occupying all available space in your mind;
for
that instant, in your head, it is as though a gigantic elephant that customarily
sits
in your bathroom leaving therein not a square inch of the place visible,
nor
any space for anyone else, is suddenly gone,
and
for the first time you can actually see the room for what it is.
By
nature, what ordinary men call their mind, their thoughts,
indeed,
their individual, private, inner-self is nothing other than the
brain’s
automatic,
collectively-shared & purely impersonal -- unattended-consciousness.
Who
would think of their breathing as being their true inner-self,
or
the beating of their heart as the manifestation of their individual personality,
and
yet men are made to do exactly that concerning the mechanical activity
in
their brain’s cortex.
If
this natural state of consciousness in each man’s brain is
the
true representation of what he is in man’s special inner sense,
then
all men are, in their non physical essence,
an
uncontrolled, unfocused, meaningless bag of intangible chaos --
for
that is the readily observable essence of unattended-consciousness.
Men
by nature are not aware of what goes on in their mind,
and
without becoming so, whatever does go on there is totally useless to
the
certain man’s aim of eventually understanding what is going on with everything.
First
you attend to your consciousness and see what is going on there,
then
later you are able to see what is going on everywhere.
You
can’t have one without the other -- but so what! --
you
can’t have anything without something else --
the
trick is to discover the something else you need --
and
herein today -- the trick has been revealed.
The
certain man’s ever immediate challenge is one thing only -- unattended-consciousness,
and
its ever available response is.............well -- clear
as hell! (huh?!)
All
right; good luck to all drivers, now gentlemen: start
your attending!

Question:
if you could, strictly on your own, set men mentally free,
how
would they ever repay you? --
you
mean besides the ultimate killing of you that they’d do?!
Amongst
cattle, trying to be a humanitarian is like
trying
to throw a leather jacket into reverse at ninety miles an hour.
Dig
it, herd lovers: assume it --
accept it:
Humans
are just metaphors for, cows.
Those
captive of the city and representing civilization & sanity must act
serious --
or
else they would be constantly giggling and spoil the whole thing.
The urban areas of the brain can tolerate all sounds, save one
(which is why the would be rebel is forever in search of the, Lost Chord
[or even, Note]).
And someone objects: “Hey, cow is a pret-tee insulting synonym for, man” -- maybe, -- but so’s man.
Accepting
the collective’s thinking to be your own results in your thoughts sensing
an
ever present increase in entropy & chaos,
which
gives birth to a precept of sequential time,
in
that things always seem to be going from, one-place-to-another;
from
the state they were in to a different one, and always --
ALWAYS going from bad-to-worse,
inasmuch
as that is the only direction conceivable to unattended-consciousness.
As
the routine collective train forever whizzes by on its inevitable way to,
Nowhere-ville
-- to, Six
Flags Over Hades,
few
passengers have any interest in looking out the windows for
encouraging
faces that might appear, pointing off in some more promising direction.
Sometimes
when confronting a mirror, a man would look intently at his reflection,
and
bark: “Okay -- where’s the real me?! -- what have
you done with him!”
Inside
the head of a man who knows
is like the world’s largest, continual --
outdoor
party.
