CITY  EXPLANATIONS  OF  MAN  TAKE  A DECIDED  TURN  FOR  THE  PREDICTABLE

(A key to some of the home grown symbolism herein employed can be found in the News Archives: December 10.)

What the independent thinker is specifically promoting in himself
is a kind of unnatural-synaptic-excitement –
anything less in the brain is routine, partisan lip synching,
something that (to some) is as annoying as Verdi via karaoke.
The ordinary dream of travel between planets,
the rebel, between new axon terminals.

Definition: Insanity-among-the-ordinary: A feeble attempt at independent thinking.

All examples are local  --
everything you are looking for  --  universal.
Yes my friends, it’s always some place else  --   always.
The only form of space travel possible is the willful moving about between the rhythmic electric bursts strewn throughout your genetic, neural universe,
(which you might note, constitutes time travel as well).

Definition: Psychological-depression-among-the-ordinary:
Not being able to achieve insanity.

A Linguistic Curio: The independent thinker can scarcely say the word, “I”.
Note: the center of something can travel nowhere in the something.
Definition For The Few: “I”: the mother of all fuckers.
Finding: Without you get free of that mental illusion of you
taking up the prime spot in you  --   you ain’t goin’ nowhere.

An independent mind is like a plane that never lands,
a game that never stops,
a sentence that never ends,
a chain of  7-11 synapses that never close  --  not permanently.

Everyone thinks of the physical world in concrete terms,
and when it comes to the mental-only, inner world of man,
the ordinary think of it also in such terms, and this is what irritates the rebel,
which he cures by thinking of things abstract in abstract terms:
a wholly revolutionary concept to those in the city  --   if they were ever aware of it.
To great benefit does mind apply Chemistry to the elements,
but to what end (in the rebel’s life) is logic inserted in dreams?
The laws of Physics are seen to work in the physical realm,
while in the mental,  mind-invented mental laws prevail  --  and that’s all  --
nothing else has any effect there, a fact overlooked by all but a few.
You can never grasp what is really going on as long as your thinking goes along with the collective’s which says that wind can move mountains,
and so too can figments of mind’s imagination.
Sticks are not intrinsically superior to spirits except in warding off threatening animals,
and all thoughts about man’s inner reality are of equal value,
but only the awake realize it.
No matter how hard men try, neither Satan, nor Cinderella can be killed off,
and after thousands of years of failing the attempt, does anyone notice?
That is one of thought’s indigenous beauties --
it makes silly putty seem like cement in comparison.
Flexibility is to the key to independent thinking  --
      but executed consciously and intentionally.
      The reality of marble cannot be stretched;
      that of gods cannot be stabilized;
to ever see what is going on, you have got to have a continuing awareness of
the essential distinction between the two worlds of things you can think about:
      mountains and munchkins  --
without this ongoing recognition, your potential  mind will be forever
trampled under foot by the normal neural movements of the herd.

Words, in one world, are king  --  in another, the joker.

Ordinary minds stay fascinated by the train they ride  --
the certain man’s interest is in the sensation of movement it causes.
If you finally realize that you are actually going nowhere,
the only thing left to be curious about is the thing that produced
the contrary impression to begin with,
(but in the city, the last thing lost dogs want to think about is their being lost  --
thus they become the superb thespians they be).
The world’s greatest actor is the man who knows  --  but he is acting –
not being forced to pretend........................(there is a difference you know...........don’t you?).

Definition: City Thinking: the prison of safety for evictees from paradise.
Life embraces, pushes away, and civilizes everybody once  --  free of charge,
any actions undertaken subsequently must be paid from your own pocket
(and thank god, in the certain man’s case, everything he gives up in payment turns out to be
the things that were ‘twix him and the realization.          Neat, huh?! --  and damn efficient!)

The aspiring independent thinker should, as soon as possible,
switch his private allegiance from nouns & objects  to verbs & actions --
since the train ain’t goin’ nowhere  --   you’ve got to.
Question: how can something move within a lifeless system?
It can’t!  --   you’ve got to force it  (it's assumed you realize [as always]
we’re back talking about the inside of your head).
“Prison” is surely a harsh synonym for life  --   but only for those still captive.

Mind is the only form of captivity that imprisons itself.

THOUGHT  --   The Great Liberator!   --
but also that which makes a mockery of freedom.............(you know, by doing as it's told).

The herd can never stop  --   and the cows can never know it.

Definition:Imitation: The sincerest example of man's bovinity.

City life simply described

for any of you who’ve just arrived:
at full tilt it is: one man commenting on what someone else said,
which was a comment on some other person’s previous comment,
which they had made in reaction to what someone else had said, and so on.
See --  wasn’t that easy.            (Culture & civilization is this multiplied by six billion.)

According to one western historian:
words and thoughts are no one’s real friend,
but merely, guns-for-hire  --  available to anyone who has the price.

Final Question: what has no way in and no way out, yet everybody’s inside it?

Only the certain man knows!...........................(ahh! -- everybody knows –
but he’s the only one the knowing profits).

Those who take words and thoughts seriously will ultimately choke on them.
