NEWS FROM PLACES
YOU HAVE BEEN IGNORING
_______________________________________________________________________________________
One man had a song
to sing,
he sang it once,
he sang it twice;
he thought it neat,
he thought it nice
–
but somewhere after
the ten zillionth time he began to have second thoughts .............................................................................”Hummm.......................................”
The certain man’s
repertoire is empty –
its fullness
-- a mirage.

Important Notice Concerning
Awareness:
If you are not a consistent
witness to its comings and goings –
- - -
One man attempted
to strike a deal with his mind, saying to it:
“Look -- if
I don’t tell you what I’m trying to mentally do,
will you not always
be telling me what you’re up to?” and he knew he was in trouble when his mind
asked him to repeat what he had just said
because it said it
hadn’t been listening.
The certain man
speaks loudest when alone with himself --
without saying
anything.
- - -
Due to the constant
paucity of exciting sensations,
men continue to look
for them in the past (that is):
in their own, less
civilized nature.
PLEASURE
Those without interest in the mind,
only down lower, will it find.
All enjoy the pool,
but with his head always above water,
the certain man frolics in two realms simultaneously.
If you stop your
treading –
you swap it for bedding.
................(Sleeping with the fishes, even your dreams smell.)
- - -
One man had a really
neat piece of machinery
which could do things
nothing else could do –
but which was subject
to numerous variables --
so much so that the
machinery and the variables eventually merged and became one --
just as he had been before the neat machinery came into his life.
The certain man
appreciates automation as well as the next machine.

The ordinary tell
many tales whose moral is that man should not make deals with
evil forces,
but the reason not
understood is that from either possible view of the bilateral mind,
all bargains, deals
and compromises will ultimately become indistinguishable from malevolence.
For the early morning
hiker there can be no vague time ‘twix sleep and wake, or place ‘tween solid
and shaky;
his crucible is: effort
or else inertia,
he knows what is to
be done and the only deal to be struck is in the doing it.
There was a man who
had a tent that had the ability to stand steady on the sheerest sides of the
steepest slopes,
and all that was required
to use it was -- remembering that he had it.
The balance of the
certain man is based on the fact that he has no where else to turn;
he can whip the tent
out –
throw it on the ground
--
then glare it down.
One man’s motto
and guiding principle was: “Let’s be blunt about all this!”
- - -
One man had an
automatic answering machine -- boy!
did he ever! --
which repeated
things he had said and had heard said --
boy! did it ever! --
and it did so oblivious
to his desires or immediate interests --
man! you can say
that again! –
'til he finally
decided: “Enough is enough!”
-- (for
all the friggin’ good it did him).
The certain
man (after the age of seventeen) is careful about any
new machinery
he allows into his
home
(figuring one semi robot per
household is plenty).
- - -
Question:
Why do you never see men who know what is going on standing over their own grave
saying: “Oh, how we will miss him!”
(Hint:
There is more than one answer.......................................................[if
you’re an idiot.])
- - -
Regarding Aggression:
Though sometimes annoying,
if you do not recognize it as a natural house fly
your potential as
a transcendental entomologist is severely restricted.
The certain man
swats only what in his front parlor first takes a swipe at him.
- - -
It seems that ordinary
men must hear something many more times than once
for them to believe
it, or even find it interesting
...............................................(you
might care to cf. this with the perception of the certain man).
- - -
A man found himself
in a cave through which a river flowed,
so deep that at times
it threatened to fill the space and drown him;
so constantly churning
that often he was unable to distinguish himself from the water;
but at odd times it
would settle and recede, and he could somehow stand outside the situation and
see that he was still separate from the river that had most become his entombing
home -- and he eventually began to wonder if in fact it was his observing
that caused the water to slow and grow shallow.
The ordinary
carry with them their own stormy weather –
the certain man
is wet only when it is wet outside --
and then only
wet on HIS outside.
