What
this particular, peculiar human activity is and has always been about
can
be talked about in a myriad of manners
(as witnessed
by the two years of diverse daily writings here),
but
its reality is quite simple -- too simple for man’s mind to
easily comprehend, -- a statement not necessary true;
no
one can say with certainty why this matter is so difficult for man’s mind
to
grasp:
“too
simple” is one attempt: “too direct,” another;
“too
self referential,” yet another; “too blinding” still one more;
the
fact (even if incapable of verbalization) remains:
what
people born with interest in this kind of activity are actually after is
(once
seen for yourself), the height of simplicity, directness,
self revelation,
and
sight enhancement,
but
few who originally have the interest pursue it to the point of this realization,
and
any who do, spend the better part of their life achieving it,
and
yet what it is that such a man ultimately realizes,
he
could fully describe to himself in four or five words;
consider
and revel even in the pre experiential excitement and anticipation of
such
a non standard human event;
if
you were born with that certain hunger -- go
ahead
-- even though you do not presently really understand what the whole
affair is really about, or where it may eventually take you should you
adequately pursue it -- go
ahead now,
and
relish in the enjoyment and exhilaration of trying to picture theoretically,
what
could be a matter so
simple, obvious, close at hand and personal
as
when seen -- turns your entire sense of you and life upside
down,
sideways,
backwards, inside out, outside in;
smoothes
out all the bumps, lights up all the dark corners,
and
airs out all the musty mental closets;
for
the certain man, just trying to imagine what it might be --
can
be the most meaningful fun in the whole world.
On
one level, the certain man begins simply;
upon
his initial discovery of words that finally to him,
seem
to describe what he has been feeling from birth, but could not utter,
he
believes/accepts that: “he is living
in a dream and should awaken” --
or is:
“living
in the dark and needs to achieve enlightenment”
-- or:
“is
in captivity and wants to be liberated”;
whatever
description he accidentally finds first & adopts does not matter --
--
not ultimately --
for
if he prosecutes his inborn hunger & interest to at least its presently,
known-for-sure-through-experience
extreme --
no
description of what he realizes matters
-- plus, they are too….too….complex?! -- well….yes --
but so what; all talk about mental only matters is too complex;
well
-- perhaps all descriptions are inadequate -- not complex enough?!
--
well,
also true, since no talk can fully embrace reality;
symbolic
sounds can never completely cloak that which they attempt to represent;
then
maybe all descriptions come from people who do not really know
what
they are talking about?! --
once
more, such a position is not without standing inasmuch as anyone who insists
that their words do
fully reflect the realization
-- have never achieved it;
no,
all-in-all -- everything-be-known-&-accounted-for;
there
is no verbal telling of what the extreme realization is –
but
be brutally assured -- it
is simple;
childishly
simple;
foolishly
simple;
side-splittingly
simple;
awakeningly
simple -- enlighteningly simple – liberatingly simple,
but
a direct realization regarding the simplicity of man’s unique relationship
to life which life is not presently arranged for him to see
(speaking obviously in general).
When
you see it, it is easy to conclude (from mankind’s current overall
situation) that everyone seeing it would drastically change
the nature of how men live,
and
apparently this is not what life desires, or life would have all men seeing
it, (such, as always, is merely a human’s view;
the speculative
perspective of a cog in the magnus vivus machina;
who knows what
is on the whole machine’s mind?! --
it is possible
that even the machine does not know).
All
you or any man ever has to go on is what he has discovered and
made
up for himself (speaking now of a man not
in the general population).
Even
though he began his quest with a simple
(though unknowingly
at the time, incomplete) view (viz):
“I
am living in a dream and must awaken” --
“I
am blind and must find enlightenment”
--
he
unavoidably becomes entangled, engulfed, immersed in
ever
increasing complexity: the complexity of whatever model, study, system,
school, teaching that he early found which seemed right for him,
and
which he took as the tool-for and road-to his inner, private goal –
but
the goal, in truth of fact,
is
so simple that all descriptions of what it is, and how to get to it
do
nothing but cloud and distract from its achievement;
this
is not caused by the stupidity nor nefariousness of those who would teach,
and profess to lead in this effort;
they
are as unsure as those who look to them.
It
is so simple as to be near insulting to those still ensnared in its
illusory
complexity and obscurity;
they
readily become enraged at any suggestion that they have not yet
achieved
the full realization (which is the way to tell:
anyone still
with anything to discuss, debate or defend --
does not realize
what is going on in the certain-man-sense).
The
survival pragmatism of the mind is in its capacity for complexity;
its
ability to create intangible symbols in man’s brain to
represent
physical realities and how they might be rearranged to man’s benefit,
but
when the mind turns its attention to itself --
and
to the intangibles that are realities only within itself --
then
complexity is a true bugaboo;
what
thought tries to rearrange in its own exclusive domain
becomes
but more and more distorted and confusing as complexity is applied;
nothing
is more perplexing to man’s mind than it grappling with itself;
it
seems to it to be a confrontation between octopuses –
when
it is mere arm wrestling ‘tween bruce wayne & batman.
Look
out your window at the overwhelming complexity of life;
look
at the simplicity of a window pane --
that
is the simplicity we are speaking of, mr. wayne.
J
...one more
thing: the payout of the first stage is in the simplicity of your knowing;
the next one
is in the simplicity of what you should be doing.
(It can get
sticky along in here, being that you know
so much,
you can easily
forget to then be doing
anything.)
