STORIES
THAT APPEAR ONLY ON SELECTED RADAR SCREENS
(and
may be larger than they initially appear)
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
On
one planet everyone ran,
and
one man discovered a way to run that was different from everyone else’s,
and
to himself, based on his experience therewith,
he
thought of the new way he had found as, running,
and
the way in which everyone else did it as, faux
running.
There
are two possible reasons for being always dissatisfied with
wherever
you are internally at the moment:
either
because you have never been anywhere better -- or:
In
inner reality matters, people understand what they say they understand;
just
as their thoughts make up all therein, so too can and do their thoughts
say they understand whatever they want to say they understand;
whatever
new understanding they require to validly make the claim --
Each
individual's predominant source of stimuli is either
their
environment, or their thoughts;
too
much the latter produces neurotics,
too
little the latter, and the former results in criminals & psychopaths.
One
man had fleas......well, he had what people where he lived called fleas;
he
didn’t really know what they were, and calling them by a particular name
(fleas) tended to delude him into thinking that he did know what they were,
thus
keeping him from making the efforts to discover what they actually
were.
Moral: don’t call something by a name if you don’t really know what it is.
There
are two ways to swing at a ball: by keeping your eye on the ball,
and
by keeping your eye on everything but
the ball.
(Only
one will work at a time.......and under the correct circumstances).
Routine
people hold to a belief system to save-themselves –
for
a man who wants-to-see -- such is the ultimate loss.
"Son, there is one ability alone (though I do not know how it can be taught) that will solve all problems (aside from back pain and psoriasis):
Some
minds are able to say that thought and behavior
have
a physiological as well as a psychological basis --
but
then fail to note the source of the psychological one
Reminder: at all times you are either thinking about things you can do,
All
that is required to be a friend to another is to wish them no harm
–
and
to be an enlightened one -- don't wish anything for them
--
What
will keep you from getting anywhere is
treating
ThisKindaActivity
as though it is a problem-to-be-fixed,
Men
are interested in hearing what other people think of their ideas
(even if it be negative)
whereas
they themselves are not the least bit interested in what they
think of them.
Only
the original is meaningful;
only
Bach is Bach; everything else is Bach-like.
One man thought he had a tumor in his brain --
Once
you know what is going on you do not care what is going on with other people;
after
you know what is going on you are not bothered by what other people
believe
is
going on;
only
when you
know what is going on do you correctly understand that
no
one else does........,,,,,,,,,,,..and that it doesn’t matter any how.
A
famous political revolutionist said: "Let the past serve the present"
while
an unknown mental one noted: "Let the past be damned."
The
only way most people can get attention is by being offensive.
At best, spiritual-teachers are private musers;
at worst, public ones -- reflecting on the ideas of some
previous muser.
If you cannot become a willful simpleton then be a complexeton --
-- but in secret.
Civilization
is supposed to act like a horse tranquilizer for too frisky minds.
One
man could speak to himself in two different voices --
the
difference was quite subtle --
and it was always still him talking --
but
using one them in particular --
to
him
--
A man with a hero is, (you see),
Regarding
inner -reality matters: people understand what they say they understand,
and
people who say they understand anything in this realm --
“My
boy, a jazz musician cannot explain how he improvises
any
more than you can, how you talk.”
“How about:how
I think?”
”Well,
I didn’t realize you were prepared to take it that far.”
Regardless
of how insane it may sound (god, afterlife)
anything
that comes through the human mind has an actual molecular basis;
the
human mind cannot imagine even the most improbable from nothing.
"Lad,
in regard to what I told you earlier:
the
advanced version is to never think about you;
when
you combine this with not thinking about other people,
anything
else your thoughts come up with will not be troublesome."
When
you realize how dumb everyone is
you
are not bothered if someone thinks that you are dumb.
Everyone
who claims to have feet will turn out to have clay ones --
(that's
just how the game of talking about yourself works).
Everyone
is part badger -- and everyone's middle name is Hector.
Lying
won't hurt you but talking will.
Reminder:
If
there is to be any opposition to thought’s unique goals
it will have to come from thought.
In
the matter of fault finding, one man says: “Why should I criticize people,
and
give them the satisfaction of feeling bad!”
And another guy says: “I never tell people I don’t like that I don’t like
them,
and give them the pleasure then of returning the feeling.”
“Lad
of my loins, an excruciatingly excellent example of what ordinary minds
would
take to be an honorable reflection of their own integrity would be:
an
old woman on her death bed asking her grandson, as he leaves, to pray-for-her,
and
he stops, returns to her side and explains in longueur how,
as
a matter of intellectual principle, he does not accept the idea of a supreme
deity,
and
thus cannot acquiesce to her request.”
“Gee, Dad, once again you're -- right-on-the-mark!"
"Nothing
to it my boy: in the land of Oz -- Oz is always
right.
"Dad, is it possible that you are the smartest person in the world?"
"Even
if I were -- what difference would it make."
Psychologists & other experts say: “Children need fairy tales,”
but then do not note when childhood should end.
One
man is a firm supporter of the hooey-factor (says he):
“If
it can be put in words --
it’s hooey!”
J
Being
angry with a wave is a waste --
when
you can stop it any time you want.
J
The
trick of the really tricky man is: don’t wait ‘til you get there to be
there.
