Only
with the arrival of civilization (the invasion of neurotransmitters)
did
war become a way of life -- a profession --
likewise, conflict in the head.
When it comes to talk you have two choices: you will either tell more than you know, or less -- there is no middle ground....(other than not talking).
"Words! What can you say about them?!"
"You mean
besides using other words."
One
man says he considers he has made some progress in that he is now gruntled
--
--
having gone from being previously dis soed.
Humans
routinely enjoy being righteously indignant over the inconvenience
(better
yet: injustice) they suffer due to the failure of
some project
as
much as they would have its success.
At
the age of ten, a man born with ThatCertainItch
believes his discomfort
(which no one
else shares) is due to the fact that everyone else in the
world GetsIt,
but
him.
(Ah, the naiveté of youth...................and adulthood.)
For
anyone who did not get it in the original regarding P
& I (being pleasant &
insincere)
the
benefit of always being insincere is that you will then never fall victim
to
being made by life to believe that you actually are
being sincere about any of
its
various second reality inanities (read: all of second reality).
Ordinary
people have nothing more interesting to think & talk about than their
lives.
Instead
of watching films of Enlightened
Gurus
to learn the secret,
one guy watched his own hands. ("No better instructor," says
he.)
People
with a penchant to criticize are never without something to do.
(Some
people believe [wish, hope] that in secret, the universe
fesses up:
“I
admit it! I’ve goofed, and you poor creatures have had to suffer
for it! [Gulp."])
One
woman’s take: “The similarity between spiritual teachers and a six month
old is:
they
are both an endless supply of poop.”

In the effort to get-to-the-bottom-of-things, if you are studying something --
The
doctor told him: "Your sight is all right; your problem is in what you
look at."
…("How
come I can’t find a diagnostician like that!")
Mind
can make sense of anything, and seems able to turn every activity in the
universe into a mathematical equation -- save itself;
man’s
mind may be capable of eventually understanding everything about this universe
except that one thing -- and yet
it
being able to note itself as the one possible exception makes no sense
-- unless -- unless things regarding man are even
stranger than any fictionalist has ever imagined.
* "How
about politicians?"
Okay, politicians too."
"Economists?"
"Yeah,
economists."
"Everyone else/"
"You got
it."
