THE GREAT W.C.
Doubt
without, the two actions of greatest importance in
getting
to the bottom of things are -- whining and complaining,
commonly
confused, but distinct entities;
whining
is what you do about your own life;
complaining
is what you do about other people’s lives.
Without
the constant, balanced exercise of the two,
no
change is possible in a person’s consciousness and understanding;
the
reasons for this are clear:
one:
the world is full of, and indeed largely run by people who have
no
idea of what is going on, or what they are doing,
and
in far too many instances are simply morons,
often
well intentioned, but idiots all the same, which brings us to number two:
their
foolishness wrecks havoc on your life, or more importantly -- your
state of mind.
The
first instance -- if not complained about by insightful people –
will
never get corrected, and unenlightened people will never become aware of
their
pathetic, even dangerous mental condition,
and
in the second case, if you do not whine about the unjustified, ill fated
occurrences that befall your life, you can too easily become accustomed
thereto, and eventually overlook them, which of course will do nothing
to cure them,
(plus
it is simply not right that a
person should suffer in silence,
particularly
when the distress is caused by other people, who should be made to face
up to the damage they do).
Ergo: you whine about you -- you complain about them.
Take
a lesson: all of man’s spiritual, cultural and psychological heroes have
been aggressive whiners and complainers,
never
hesitating to point the finger of complaint toward any who deserved it,
be
they king or kitchen drudge;
nor
were they ever shy in whining over the poor treatment they received
as
thanks for their efforts;
to
believe that you can do less is a sad and costly slip.
To
most men and women, whining and complaining seem unnatural,
and
commonly is strenuous and persistent struggle required to make the two
a
regular part of your daily life --
but
for the few determined to cut through the many mental illusions which permeate
ordinary men’s lives, and cause them to see life and themselves in a distorted,
and
fallacious light,
the
rewards are incomparable.
By
the by: even those who live a somewhat solitary life are at no disadvantage,
for
even if you have no ready access to other people to whom to voice your
whines
and complaints,
they
both can be done quite adequately just in your own mind,
(it
will help to keep up with the news and perhaps listen to talk radio
so
as to always have a fresh supply of fodder for your work).
The
primary reason that the rest of the world never catches on to what is really
going
on is because of their laxity in the area of whining and complaining;
yes,
it is true that they do some, (well, quite a bit in fact),
but
it is not consistent and well thought out,
as
it is when done by those struggling to step from the dark into the light.
Whining
and complaining when done by a person with the goal of freeing their consciousness
from the normal, dull level at which mankind in general operates,
is
a different breed of captious cat;
those
with the nascent keen eye for extraordinary insight can effortlessly spot
the
everywhere presence of hypocrisy, duplicity, stupidity and irony,
and
in a singular fashion have the innate ability to see where the specific
faults lie,
and
thus make constructive complaints;
and
just as uniquely is their capacity to see – quite objectively
–
how
the uncorrected foolishness of others has a constant negative impact on
their
own lives and mental peace, and are not hesitant to – in a
profitable manner -- whine thereabout.
No
matter your intelligence, sophistication, or sincerity in wanting to
expand
your consciousness and personal understanding of life and yourself,
if
you do not maintain the needed discipline of consistent, well founded
whining
and complaining your project is doomed to fail.

THE BIG H -- HONESTY
With
as much frequency as life has man condemn lying,
does
it have him promote honesty,
and
the entirety of humanity would agree with the statement:
“A
man can make no improvement to himself
without
being completely honest with himself” –
to
any normal mind, the idea is prima facie self evident;
you
cannot correct some flaw in yourself or your thinking if you will not be
honest enough to admit you have such --
so
that you can then study it, and find the way best to rectify it:
this
could not be more obvious -- but;
not
a dozen people out of the world’s present six billion would grasp the fullness
of what is meant by, honesty
(not
from the perspective daily here noted).
All
sane people believe they have some psychological/spiritual problem(s)
which
keeps them from being completely happy and satisfied with themselves,
and
with life;
one
person says they have an unshakable anger toward their father,
another
person says they suffer from a lifelong feeling of fear,
but
whatever the specifics, humans believe that to overcome and become free
of these debilitating flaws they must first be brutally honest about
them, that is:
they
must (as painful as it may be) openly confess them;
all
professional counseling, both secular and temporal is based thereon,
as
is private advice between friends and family:
“You
must be honest with yourself and admit that you hate your father;
that
you are afraid of most everything in life -- and move
on from there
to
figure out why
you have come to have these flaws;
only
then can you expect any success in correcting them.”
Life
has all men believing they should be other than they are,
and
of particular consequence concerns their thinking,
for
a person can alter what-they-are to some visible extent by
losing
fat, gaining muscle, coloring their hair, or cosmetic surgery,
but
changing what naturally occurs in your mind is another matter not so
directly
accessible.
Life
makes everyone think they should be other than they are -- internally;
then
makes most people make some effort to change;
ordinarily,
they do not,
but
life makes men keep trying, and ignoring their failure to do so.
This
is (from the view here) how it
is -- but,
it
could be otherwise for any who hear something strangely attractive,
if
not inexplicably familiar in these daily writings --
if
they
can find for themselves
what
the honesty about
themselves is
that
is required to ever cull yourself from the unthinking herd.
The
honesty about yourself is not:
“I
hate my father.” “I am so shy it ruins my life.” “I am too
suspicious.”
“I
am too gullible.” “I have a terrible temper.”
“I
am asleep; living in a dream; an idiot in the dark without a clue to what
is going on” –
nothing
of this nature is the honesty about yourself that will open your mind to
the
normally unnoticed reality of what goes on all around and all in you
moment
by moment throughout your life, and which will free you from
the
frustrations and boredom inherent in man’s routine mentation.
What
this honesty is will not be said here today;
you
take it from here on the basis that none of what your mind wants to say
is: honesty-about-yourself IS
so;
saying/thinking:
“I will be honest with myself:
I
am an overbearing, pretentious blowhard” or anything of the like is
not it –
--
nothing of the sort is it.
This
kind of honesty is a whole step removed from the honesty about yourself
being
hinted at here;
it
is an honesty about yourself that is literally past that sort of
confession.
Consider;
if admitting that you have this or that particular personality flaw,
and
then trying to figure out why you picked it up,
so
that you can then work on correcting it
is
not the honesty being referred to, then ask yourself --
what is?
What
other honesty about me could be lurking around the edges of
the
one(s) I have already confessed to?
There is one -- a big one -- the Big L.O. -- the liberating one.
Look
at it: here you are: a sincere, intelligent person,
being
brutally honest about yourself, yet being told that that kind of so-called
honesty will accomplish nothing (the proof everywhere),
and
hearing that there is another overlooked, but blatantly obvious
honesty
about you -- and everyone else --
right
there beneath the apparent one(s) that so readily spring to mind,
and
that all the other meaningless, honesties sit on this one --
what
simple something could be being pointed to amidst all this?
It
is a certain honesty about yourself that destroys all the delusions about
man
and yourself;
it
is nothing complex or metaphysical -- it is simple
– oh so very, very simple,
but
oh so extremely, extremely offensive to man’s natural mind (the
one that knows everything).
