THE NEWS

What pleases the mind  --  the mind believes.

One man suddenly mused:
“Mind is like a candle: it lights the way for others, while consuming itself.
.......................................................................................................Damn!  --   if only that were true.”

“Sir, if you would step over here to the mirror:
He who owns nothing is owned by nothing:
He who does not think of a thing is not thought of by the thing.”
“Yes, I definitely like the second one better.”

A drastic disease requires a drastic cure.    There are no drastic diseases
in the second reality      ----     just horrific ones men dream up.

When shove comes to fall-down,
men will give up everything    ----     except one;
they can’t give it up     ----     and they don’t even know what it is.
You can outwit another, but not all the others,
and you can overcome one of your idiot ideas, but not them all;
for them all combined is what constitutes your mind.
“What do I do Winslow  --   shoot them one at a time as they emerge?”
“That would do well My Lord, except   --    there is no end to them.”
“Humm...........so what say ye?”
“Aim for thy self Your Grace  --  right for yourself.”
“Humm........I see.........?!?...................don’t I, Winslow?!?”

Humble hearts have humble goals
while vein hearts are downright bloody.

And a man asked a mystic:
“What is being a priest?”
   “A hobby.”
“What is being a politician?”
   “A hobby.”
“What is being a policeman?”
  “A hobby.”
What is being a psychologist?”
  “A hobby.”
“What is being an educator?”
   “A hobby.”
“What is being an ecologist?”
  “A hobby.”
“What is being a social reformer?”
 “A hobby.”
“What is being an artist?”
  “A hobby.”
“What is being famous?”
  “A hobby.”
“Then what do you call what you do?”
  “A hobby.”
“How’d I guess you’d say that.”
   “'Cause that’s your hobby.”

Since Adam’s time, all men are become fools,
for they continue to misidentify the voice they hear.

A father’s advice to a son: “Be thankful the rest of the world are fools –
how else would you realize how brilliant you are.”

They are most confused who say they are certain.

Guessing, guessing,

                                                 always guessing,
                                                 never knowing,
                                                 always guessing.

One man concluded: “I must have an invisible Siamese twin --
nobody could be this stupid single-handedly.”

Reminder: because of periodical misalignment of the mirror that operates the word processor here in our news office,
stories sometimes are printed in the reverse of how they were intended.
(Understanding of course that this presents no problem to the awakened reader.....................................just a reminder.)

One man says:
“If it weren’t for the laws of physics, I’d be awake.   Gravity, inertia, and momentum.”

The central source of man’s confusion is his erroneous belief that
thought causes action rather than
the other possible arrangement.

There are no real mystical schools, lodges, communities or monasteries of
awakening & enlightenment  --  there are what claim to be  – but the only real one
that might be in existence is whatever some man somewhere, (you perhaps),
is privately doing himself to achieve launch velocity, and break free of

earth’s mental gravity.

Man is a tank driven by a parrot  --

who thinks he drives it  --
with hands he sometimes imagines he has.

In secondary affairs, what is going on in a particular instance
can be clear even to outsiders  --   with first reality it is just the opposite:
it is the difference between watching an engine being rebuilt,
and observing a parliament discussing proposed legislation.

One makes sense, and other is  --   what it is.

All of life consists of: “1 --  2”  --
except for those who know-what-is-going-on  --   for them, it doesn’t.

A man without a partner is finally in the right relationship.

One man says: “I began as a corporation; became a partnership,
and finally a sole proprietor.            What could possibly be next?”

One guy got consumed by himself,
(of course then, he was no longer there to be aware of it).

The more consistently do the few look back on the previous seconds of their life,
the more than anything do they want for their mind to be loosed from its
local mooring, and be free to roam the universe  --
not merely float with a vacant stare and mass fed thoughts,
but vigorous flying and surveying it all,
for oneself  --  on one’s own.

Even though everything about life is right out in the open,
and everything you need to know about you is in you,
still you have to find your own individual way of
bringing the needed info into a position whereby you can use it.

And a father said to a son: “You are wise to submit to destiny –
but even wiser to make destiny submit to you.

........................be sure to let me know if you ever figure out how to do it.”

A man who knows-what-he-is-doing
does not, in his  non physical life,
try to make things easy for himself.

And one man thought: "I may not be any more awake  --  but at least I'm getting older."

And another guy wants it known: "I am not this stupid by choice  --  life made me this way."
