(A
kind of continuation of 5/6/02)
One
of the most expedient, eye opening tricks a man can utilize in
trying
to get-to-the-bottom-of-everything
is
in his speech, to not provide others with anything to passionately react
to.
To
do this requires the same kind of attention needed to lie:
In
this method your intent is to never say anything to anyone that will
give
them any reason to verbally react with any passion.
In
practice what this amounts to is that you never say anything to anyone
that might upset or offend them;
no
matter how outrageous your mechanical thoughts may have deemed what they
said, you lie --
you
consciously refrain from allowing your mind to make your tongue express
its negative response to what theirs said -- and instead,
you say something totally innocuous.
This
has nothing to do with concern for their feelings -- it is strictly
for your benefit,
and
the few who may actually pursue this will soon surely realize its profit
for
themselves without extensive elaboration here.
(This
is certainly not for those who enjoy criticizing and upsetting others.)
Bickering
and bantering, from simmering to boiling degrees,
is
what cooks the verbal/intellectual fare of ordinary man,
and
other than for the odd bloody nose -- does no notable harm;
what
greater fun do most men have with their mind and tongue than, socially
arguing;
over
sports, politics, the prices of things, and other people’s reputations,
and
when a friend or even a stranger makes a judgmental statement about a ball
team,
a
political party, or whatever, you are expected to reply in kind,
either
agreeing or disagreeing with what he said;
this
is what turns the collective wheel of routine, recreational human conversation,
and
in large part, civilization itself.
This
harmless, rapid-fire squabbling over trifles also serves another purpose:
it
keeps men talking at such a rate, with such meaningless passion
that
there is slim opportunity for a person to take note of the fact that
the
entire process proceeds automatically and independently from them personally.
If
life keeps men forever dancing in a manner they find agreeable
they
will never notice they are being forced to do so:
captives
kept sufficiently distracted scarce notice they be captive at all.
Plain
put: if you are passionately arguing with someone about anything,
you
will have no awareness whatever of what is actually going on in
your
consciousness, which ordinary men are told to call, thinking,
and
you accept the thoughts that suddenly appear in your mind as being yours,
and
the words they lead your tongue to say --
true
expressions of your personal understanding;
but
if your overriding desire in life is to grasp what is actually going on,
rather
than arguing about it,
then
nothing is more in order than removal of yourself from this depleting pastime.
If
someone has momentarily engaged you in conversation,
and
they utter an attack on some other person or group, then await your response,
in
a totally innocent tone, say something innocuous enough to not cause a
passionate
reaction in any normal person:
(“Yeah,
life is weird.” -- “Humans do strange things” – “It takes all kinds,”
etc; what is literally said is irrelevant);
Keep
your focus on you, remembering that what you are doing
has
nothing to do with the person you are talking to --
nothing;
for
your own benefit and learning, what you want to do is always say to other
people
only
something to which they will not be able to passionately react,
and
as you are so engaged, continue to keep your mental eye scrupulously on
what
is going on in your own head, and this pinpoint view will soon, of its
own accord, expand to include the nature of entire scenario of you and
the other person
in
your verbal dance, and soon to everything.
You
may be assured of the fact, (and it is easily verified by your instant
recollection of your success thus far in achieving a liberation of your
consciousness),
that
you can never see, or understand anything new while arguing, (either with
others, or with your own apparent self, but today’s news concerns the others-connection).
Arguing,
or agreeing with someone else’s arguing, has the same result, that is,
if
someone denounces another person or group and you offer passionate agreement
with their censure,
you
are now arguing with the non present person or group he just denounced.
All
arguments, squabbles, and bickering, (about second reality matters,
as
always in reference here), come from man’s common mind --
not
from yours or anyone else’s:
human
mouths are simply loudspeakers for this collective, impersonal mind,
and
what is normally said has no more individual significance to the human
who says it than do the airborne words picked up by your tuner have to
do with the
passive
speakers in your stereo through which you hear them.
The
withdrawing of your mouth from this engagement will, (for the interested
few), bring into stark relief the unadorned picture of just what is going
on constantly in
man’s
second reality, about which life makes ordinary men at least --
feign ignorance,
but
make it your unfailing art to always think about what you are going to
say
before
you say it,
and
all that is necessary is that you remember this is your intention,
and
it quickly starts to take care of itself;
you
soon do not have to specifically, think about and plot out the exact
words you are going to give in response to the other person’s incendiary
comment --
your
proper, untouchable one will begin to naturally flow from your lips
as
your mind secretly savors the deliciousness of the whole situation.
The
other ordinary human with whom you are speaking believes he is, “telling-it-like-it-is”
-- expressing truthfully what he thinks of this or that person,
group,
or idea -- which, in objective reality, is a lie,
for
it was not his thoughts that originated the opinion his mouth now expresses;
then
you, on the other hand,
by
refraining from being simply a passive mouthpiece for the impersonal,
collective
mind of man, which was totally responsible for what he just said,
come
closest to uttering anything deserving to be thought of as, the truth,
inasmuch
as you at least did not, (as did the other person), say: “Well I think
so & so”
when
in plain fact he did not; the thought simply appeared in his mind,
and
it instantly caused his tongue to say it, and that is the total extent
of what occurred.
The
real benefits of doing this, until it takes no real effort to do so,
cannot
be adequately limned, and for the few who might reap its fruit,
none
should be necessary after they first hear about it;
its
potential will either strike you or not, (like most everything else about
TheGreatAdventure,
once you get deep enough in it), so -- there
it is,
and
it cannot be too highly recommended;
doing
it will bring quickly into unavoidable relief heretofore unnoticed corners,
and
edges to how human minds dance in complete, preprogrammed coordination
with one another;
in
conversation, first one leads while the other follows;
then
they reverse positions; then back again, over and over -- all
over the planet;
the
human verbal dance going actually no where -- as no dances
do;
dances
are entertainments -- not modes of travel,
yet
none save those who secretly step aside ever fully realize the
totality
of this world wide imaginary ballroom;
when
you are in it -- you cannot tell where you are;
quit
dancing by not saying anything to anyone to which they can passionately
react, and you will soon get an electrifying, wake up shock.
You
cannot tell where you are in your consciousness
until
you get away from that spot.

Only a fraction of what
could be said about the juicy features of such as the above are said here;
the rest is left to your
own experience to discover.
