“Once” says one man, “I wished for the Light-of-truth to shine upon me,
but now I’d prefer it be the light of math.”
“What is more pathetic” said one guy, “Than idiots believing they know something.”
“Exactly who do you include as, idiots?”
“Guess.”
(Later in private, the guy who asked, wondered to himself if he could spell:

“Everyone who believes they know something”.)
The unrecognized ill of the inexperienced E.N.T. (Emergency Neural Technician) is that   once you realize a particular thing for yourself --  it is dead, and can not later be revived.
(Not understanding this accounts for all the books on; “How To Realize Things.”)

“Look! --   there in a book!  It’s a word!  It’s a phrase!   Its Goobergook!”
A man who knows something and says nothing
is more powerful than a man who knows nothing and says a lot.
(This is not true in the ordinary world, and the word, “powerful” doesn’t fit  --  but --   what the hell.)

More men have their minds put in the dream by anchovies than by
all the world’s wrong ideas.
(This is not true, but anchovies sounds better to most than genechovies.)

(Speaking of, “passing”): What are the mind’s seemingly passionate ideas
but a beard for the brain when it wants to appear in public.
And one man’s cortex said: “I may be sensitive, but, I’m no sissy” –
a claim of non stripedness which cannot be shouldered amongst
the exclusive company of bleached out zebras --
(or as known in its Martian translation: “Any mind that says what it is  --   is suspect.”
[“suspect” being used in deference to the sensitive.])

One man’s mind lived in the middle of a fantastic solar system;
then later, (after much effort & evolving), a fantastic solar system lived in it.
All great secret strides are accomplished only with the breaking of things.
“Hey --  they’re splitting  --  I’ve outgrown my pants.”
  “It’s about time.”

One guy’s greatly refined aim finally became to out-know even life itself –
something life said it did not oppose --
certainly not after its own glaring failure in this regard.
And one man’s mind asked: “But  --  why are we here?”
“Not YOU again.   Take off that silly beard and get out of my town.”

The directions to Vivas Elysium come in two folders:
One purports to give direct instructions which are understandable in reading  --  but, impossible in practice;
the other form seems on surface absurd but will point the alert  -- dead on.
“Pa pa --  when I grow up can I be absurd?”
“If you grow up normally, your request is moot.”
“I meant, willfully.”
  “Oh!      Well.............sure.”

People’s minds who try to tread their way to the intangible Shangri-La
either find things too spread out and chaotic, or else too tightly packed
and perceivable.          ...........................No they don’t --  not that last one,
it was just thrown in to make those with weak feet feel upbeat.
“Pa pa --  when I grow up can I be upbeat?”
“If your mind grows no further than city garden varieties,
you won’t know real upbeat from possum meat anyway.”
“I meant, if I grow up to know what I am doing.”
“Oh yeah!    I keep forgetting you are the below the surface hair of
my brain’s public beard    ----    why certainly you can.”

The difference between having CaughtOn,
and still trying to make others believe that you have,
is the difference between whistling in a graveyard,
and dying in a whistling factory.

Every day does a horse on a carousel go round,
and every day does its operator look at travel brochures
as his carney mind projects linearly.

The difference between other men’s maps of HowToGetThere, and your own is that
on the surface theirs makes sense,
(‘course right there is the persistent rub;
if all you have is a surface kind of mind,
then anything  --  no matter how ridiculous  --  can make sense.)
“Pa pa --  when I grow up may I be allowed to make the distinction between
what makes sense and what does not?”
“You don’t and I’ll kill you.”
Which brings up that other infernal sore:
Why can’t you kill things early on when doing so would be most expeditious,
rather than being forced to wait for it --  like some kind of reward
for a life time of murderous efforts and intents.

Only those who still have not CaughtOn
can bear to hear themselves think.
“Pa pa --  is everything said about ChasingTheThing to be taken literally?”
   “Is the Thing a literal?”
“Humm --   I see what you mean.”
(But here is the complete version of that last dialogue:
“Pa pa --  is everything said about ChasingTheThing to be taken literally?”
  “Is the Thing a literal?”
“Humm --   I see what you mean.”
“No you don’t, or you wouldn’t have asked the question in the first place.”
“Okay --  so you’re right: I don’t really understand what you mean by that;
I was simply trying to be polite.”
“And it was no more than a week ago that we went through this too.”
“Yeah, okay, I know: Being polite has nothing to do with it.”
The real truth by the way, is that being polite has everythingto do with it;
you must know how to be selectively genteel in your  –  breaking-of-things,
or else they will just randomly fly apart and leave you splattered in cynicism.)

The only real news for the few is news that stays new.

Life finally had enough of this one guy’s big mouth and grabbed him around the throat --  only to realize that it had itself around the throat –
same as the guy had realized about him having life thereby at an earlier date.
(If you still have any doubt where the suckers being constantly begat come from,
ask a cosmologist friend about Neural Star Nurseries.)
There are two facets to what men call, “Being-a-cynic”:
one is to be one from understanding nothing and being pissed that you don’t, the other is to be called one by those who understand nothing and are pissed that they don’t.

Those who CatchOnrefresh themselves greatly  --   but wear everyone else out --

.....and as regards improving your standing in the social strata:
there is no one an awakened man has to hang out with who is better than himself --

or even his equal.

Besides his written words here every 24 hours, Jan, (every 48 ones), also addresses the matter of ThatCertainMatter orally  --   sounds which are availableto interested ears over the internet by subscription.

(And you might be interested to know that he maintains his taxing schedule of writing, speaking and competitive pole vaulting
despite the fact that he is now blind, mute and legless.)

Many feel called, but few get swollen.

One man says that although no one wants to face it,  most of those who say they want to wake up, intellectually are pea brains.*

For the true few, the cry: "Onward!  --   you sons of bitches!  --  do you want to live forever!"  is not just for the battlefield.

Realizing how things really are is what both cuts everyone down to size and also raises them up to their proper one.

*' 'course so, (it could be noted), are most people.

P.S. No one is exempt from the news  --  including  those who report it.

P.P.S. Most of the above probably does not apply to you since all of today's news was imported from Tanzeeka since we were running low.
