 THE NEWS

Every morning the drill ‘tween the sergeant and the troops goes something like this:
“A-ten-CHUN!   Our minds would rather be anywhere but where?”
      “HERE!  --   SIR!”
“And at any time but when?”
      “NOW!  --    SIR!”
“And that’s because?”
      “THAT IS MIND’S NATURAL PEACETIME CONDITION!  --   SIR!”
“And we are standing here yelling at each other about it  --  why?”
      “’CAUSE WE ARE IDIOTS!  --  SIR!”
“No, no, no!   I’ve told you a thousand times: it’s because we are MYSTICS!”
      “SORRY --  sir.”
“Alright  --  let’s try it again.
  And we come together and talk about the situation constantly  --   because?”
      “BECAUSE WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO NOTICE IT AND ARE BOTHERED BY IT!”
“By god! --  I like that response just as well!   Good show!
 Now go grab some breakfast.                         Dis- MISSED!”

Just as it is easy for a man to be pleasant to those he cares nothing about,
so too a man toward ideas of no interest to him.

   The sealed synaptic-samurai will deliberately tread a cut on his foot
   until blood loses all its color.

      Only that universe self-rendered insouciant,
                                     of itself can e’re conceive
                                                by any faithful light.

“Step on that sonofabitch, Seymour; stomp that sucker into enlightened  submission.”
   “Uhh....pardon me, but does anyone really understand what is being said here?”
“I do.”
     “Well….yes  --  but you are the one Doing the talking.”
“So? --   I am the only one who matters to me in this.”
     “Humm ---  I see.            ..................................... I think?!”

Rascals think nothing can be accomplished without rascality,
and the ignorant think nothing is ever done without some ignorance  --
but they are too ignorant to understand what this signifies.

Time causes all things to either grow or die,
.....(which is why man is not allowed to comprehend what time is).

Only original thinking will get you to the bottom of thoughts,
and originality is only possible if you live-alone.
A son inquired of a father:
“Is what you hear in concert halls and see in galleries, true originality?”
     “No --  true originality is never seen, heard or put on display --
       for it is silent and invisible, and of interest to but a few.”

To be awake is to be simple, straightforward  and transparent;
you must be asleep to be deep, complex and abstruse.
.....(Pst: sleeping people are the most interesting......at least to other sleeping people.)

One man had a watchdog who made him feel safe  --   and was the joy of his life  --
                         --  WHEN the dog was focused on his job!

Reflecting on his difficult struggle to achieve originality of thought and free his mind from dulling redundancy, a man  moaned to himself:
“Are we forever shackled to the past?! " and his body surprisingly spoke up:
       “Hey --  not me!  –  at least not in the pathetic way you mean!”

One old sorehead says:
“Getting what you deserve is too good for many people --
but not good enough for most.”

The gummy point in this is that the apparent determination, (if there is one),
of what you deserve is not man’s;
everyone is aware of this  --  yet everyone feigns not.

One man said that anyone who planned to come kill him
had better pay up their own life insurance,
adding that he did not mind the idea of death,
but rather of someone else imposing their desire on him.

There is also a man who holds a similar view regarding the commonly available ideas
                                                                                                                which come visit him.

One man was born and lived in Pittsburgh;
he did not of course, know this until he was old enough to be so told,
and when certain of the conditions involved in living in Pittsburgh
were finally pointed out to him, he was horrified and immediately wanted to move
                                                                    to this other place he had heard about.

One man had a watch whose two hands operated independently of one another;
to find himself, he would glance at them both   --   then split the difference.

......(Don't get confused in this, remember: time has nothing whatever to do with being more conscious.)

Has been said that men can bear injustice better than justice,
and so too can most tolerate ignorance above some knowledge,
and also the few accept being asleep  --  but not the realization they are not awake.

The true samurai is always prepared to fall on his goober for the king;
so too the knowing PrivateEye on his standard issue mind for the sake of his client.
                                                            “Who IS?”
                                                                      “I can’t believe you asked that!”

Mind by nature, never thinks about the one thing at the heart of everything --
the one thing that would explain everything  --
 the one thing that ISeverything.

On one planet was a man who always had a cup of constantly boiling liquid in his hand.

There are two approaches to handling the investigation of the case:
either report the facts  --   or make up the facts;
either describe how things are  --   or invent fables to symbolize how they are.

Some men’s minds prefer fables     --      few's can tolerate just the facts.

What a man thinks and what he does are two entirely different trees –
one of them in fact is a squirrel;
what an awakened man knows and what he does are two entirely different trees  --
one of them in fact is a squirrel       -----       with rabies.

Be its practical intent not aright understood,
the ancient political maxim: “The King can do no wrong”
seems simply regally self serving  --   but not so;
this characteristic bestowed on a sovereign was to provide the people with an ultimate, indisputable source of authority to make decisions concerning their collective interests, and if they proved not to serve them well, he was not corrected  --   he was replaced;
so too stands a man in relationship to his mind;
in routine affairs  --  “it can do no wrong” and is to be trusted,
but if real change is to come to a kingdom,
a change of the decision-maker is required.

Men by instinct want to physically be either a leader or a follower,

                   and mentally either to be original, or to emulate.

There is a point beyond which justice ceases to be justice,
and knowledge stops being useful.
