REGARDING RESIDENCY

An ancient proverb says: “The first year; rent your house to an enemy;
the second year to a friend, the third year, you take it over” --
point being that in the first year of a house there will be so many problems
that you will wish a foe had it,
and in the second year it will be down to many small matters
requiring the kind of attention a friend would give,
and in the third year, it will be ready for you to occupy.
Compare a house to your mind:
in that the first year, (metaphorically),
you give it over to an enemy: the influences of routine life;
letting the foe, (so to speak), do its worst to your mind as it stirs & plants therein
the distorted views which will plague your ordinary mind for the rest of your days;
then in the second year, you turn your mind over to the
care-&-feeding of non standard ideas related to the Awakening-of-the-mind,
which will, to some degree, act as a counterforce to the first year effects of
routine influences;
then finally  --   ultimately  --  in the third year of this specially calculated calendar,

you alone must take full charge of your place of mental residency.

The Big Guy called all the humans together and said:
“Okay, so all of you think that life is unfair?”   --  “Yes!” they replied, and then he said: “Okay, so how many of you realize that you have no idea what that means?” --  silence.

There is no limit to what man’s mind can understand  --
save for what constitutes its own edge, horizon & core.

One warrior king mused:
 “Is being a real warrior to be forever dissatisfied with the state of your state  --
and likewise the apparent alternative?! --
--  the one still involving, never-ending struggle?”

All explorers of the physical realm, (by their nature),
do not dwell on the hardships & challenges facing them,
and do not become pessimistic regarding the eventual outcome of their expedition.

To get-to-the-bottom-of-things and wake-up--
you must be like an explorer.

The closest thing there is to being mentally  --   right
is in realizing that all other people are mentally wrong,
but this is a quite special type of being “right” –
one characterized by a complete lack of interest in telling others that they are wrong.

You will never wake-up & get-to-the-bottom-of-things without asking questions,
but some questions are not only a waste of energy, but dealing in them actually
holds up your investigation:
(questions about age, religion, politics, nationality, in fact   --   anything personal).

Okay, the greased up guy outside the barrel is gussied up thus:
When you are told that you never look at your mind, just your thoughts,
and you say it is not so  --  you are looking at your thoughts saying it is not.

Consider what goes on in your mind as you attempt to solve TheMystery
as your writing of a novel,
and if there is any possibility that it could ever be a popular best seller  --

you haven’t got the right plot   --    you're not doing it right.

An awakened man has no personal.

One man’s theory regarding, ChasingTheThing is:
“Nothing works  --  but anything can help.”

.........(Well, thank you, Sergeant Sunshine!…..........................'course he could be Lieutenant Lay-It-On-The-Line.)

Everyone knows that physically, life can be a ball,
(what with good food, good sex; hard workouts, and cool sides of pillows),
but few ever know of & experience the endless carnival that can be the mind.

When a man was urged to go see a painted portrait which was touted as being,
 “a perfect likeness” of its subject, he thought:
“Why should I  --   I have seen the man himself.”

(Note: do not get confusinated and think this has any relevance to the mind and what it tells you it wants to see.)

* * *

A man’s natural, hormonal disposition is:

                                often suppressed,
                                sometimes hidden,
never extinguished.

The sign of the sleeping mind is that it firmly believes
life & Nature needs its help;
this is, from the few’s view, the definition of the dozing mind,
and from Nature’s view  --   the properly functioning one.

..............…(Like a Hobson’s Choice without the smell of horses.)

When one man heard the condemnatory claim:
“Pleasure is man’s   --   ultimate-seducer” he cried out:
”Where do I sign up for this debauchment?”

The few will never see their ambition through
if they remain on the main mental dance floor with everyone else.

When translated from the Amateur Greek it turns out the Secret Oath says:

“I love me so dearly,
but bore me severely.”

You cannot disapprove of who you are and the life you lead  --  'cause even if you do, then doing so is part of who you are and the life you lead.

Okay --  here is the full nitty of it,  along with a complete complement of gritty:
whatever it is that you are doing    --    if it is not eating   --    it is a hobby  --
   that’s all --
     nothing more  --
       get over it.

REPORT ON THE RIGHT-AS-ROBERTS CONDITIONS

                       IN A REAL MAN’S MENTAL HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT

The opposition party, (in its, now-refined wisdom),

                             maintains a masterly state of  --  inactivity and silence.

The more civilized you are  --   the more inclined to whine ye be;
bricklayers still bitch  –  professional men whine.

One man’s response to any personal question was always the same;
after repeating the subject of the inquiry he would wistfully say:
“Ah, religion!  --   something to do ‘til the embalmer comes.
 Ah, nationality!   --   something to do ‘til the embalmer comes.
 Ah, age!   --   something to do ‘til the embalmer comes,”
 and on thru the list of such stuff.

Okay, a shortcut on what to do:
think about nothing but man, and speak to ordinary people about anything but.

All parables assumed to concern Enlightenment are cover-ups for:
“Well I’ll be goddamned!”
